  • STORY TIME! (I hope KG catches wind of this cuz he means a lot to my family) My oldest brother Jamell was a ball boy for the Timberwolves back in the day when it use to be KG and marbury in their prime. He use to come home with shoes and all sorts of cool shit players would give him but the one thing he loved the most was just being cool with the players. I remember after he was done working for them a few years later me and my middle brother and cousin were out at the movies seeing Mr Deeds when it came out in theaters and we noticed this long legged ass dude down towards the bottom row but didn’t think nothing of it and when the movie was over he stood up and we were like whoooo the fuck is that tall ass dude then when we followed behind outside into the light we realized it was KG and we told him who our older brother was and he waited for my mom and oldest brother to pull up so he could speak to them and that was one of the coolest things I’ve seen someone do who was a nba player/celebrity. Idk if he still remembers my family but I hope we can run into each other one day so I can tell him how much we always appreciated him over the years.

    • To me that's one part I really loved about this interview. When Stephen asked him what he would change about the game today and he said nothing. 'That's the type of basketball that these kids play. You gotta find the gems outta that.' The game evolves. At the time KG was drafted no one had someone like KG. Now theres a good dozen or so of those players, obviously not at the level KG played. A 7 footer who could play defensive on guards out at the perimeter yet also check PF and Cs. Then you add in his offense game. Consistently able that long deep 2 at the top of the key, but also able to put the ball on the floor and still play bully ball inside. Guys today grew up watching KG Duncan Dirk. The game evolves.
