Them: oh yeah were basically use 20mm SLAP rounds My brain: Kentucky ballistics lol
Just thought the same 🤣
I love his canal
Ooof
It is actually called 20mm APDS Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot. SLAP means Sabot Light Armor Penetrator. Pretty much the same thing. Different terms.
2:16 When you start up your PS2
👍🏾
I've no idea what your status is in life. But it deserves to be elevated.
Underrated
damn had the same idea
Haha
That sound in slow motion camera was so horrific. That sound can be used in horror movies.
Yes
...dude that sound will have kids & $hit...most adults checking their closets and underneath their bed for monsters before they tuck in at night
Minecraft cave noise that is
Pure titanium is quite soft. It must be alloyed with other metals to create an alloy resistant to penetration by projectiles.
with carbon
90° is so much more satisfying to watch and hear. Also gives us more of an idea as to what and how the rounds work in best case scenarios.
Sounding like the PlayStation start up sound
Only thing left was the old playstation logo to pop up then go to the memory card screen cuz the game is to scratched up smh
Ol days
Just as loud too
???
Playstation 2
Titanium - well this explains how RoboCop survived so many hits
Znam da si udata
Legit, and RoboCop had angled armor. So even a slight angle would add just that much more to defeat
Terminator was titanium as well plus other unknown elements
Robo had a thin lamination of titanium that made him immune to small arms. A 20mm could and did penetrate as fired by ED209’s 20mm auto cannons
A10 would destroy them both :D
1:58 attempts to make the shooter flinch Him: *eeehahahaha*
Titanium in terraria: Guess i'll die from 4 zombie bites
:D
A lot of energy is lost by having a movable vs solid target.
No it's not
this is exactly what I was going to comment. You cant poke your finger through a piece of paper if it's just in the air.
Hold the target then lol
oexel ‘
Absolutely true
Nokia: I am inevitable. And I..... am..... *TITANIUM*
In vietnam we called it is brick
Lmao
You mean invincible?
TITINNIUMMMM U SHOOT ME DOWN BUT I WONT FALL III AAMMM TTTIITTIIIIUUUUMMM
And I am *TNT*
To truly test it, the titanium needs to "not move" so it can absorb the entire force of the impact. Letting it fly back 30 yards from initial contact gives inaccurate results.
For sure… give the titaniumplate something that locks it
let’s see you hold it then 😹
@Vincents Crypto Trading how big a brain does it take to know armor is supposed to stay stationary?
@@roddydykes7053 Like the earth 🧐 but my comment has no relations of this shooting expo 😆
Yeah. That cement block doesn't do shit
Thanks so much for your bravery and contributions to humanity. You do the stuff the little kid in all of us want to do but can’t, or won’t because, let’s face it, we are too scared. I enjoy watching and laughing till my sides hurt. Please keep them coming, I’m doing a public service of sharing all this crazy fun stuff you guys do with all of my crazy friends. Hey God bless and try to stay safe.
Time to call in a A-10 Warthog strike with the 30mm gun.
Lol there wouldn't be anything left
The target would just reduce to atom
.50cal. SLAP blew thru it like butter.
Can't the A-10s titanium "bathtub" defend against its own gun? pretty sure it can.
Biggest disappointment of 2017 when the tungsten round missed!
or extremely optimistic
Blame USA yep, EXTREMELY.
captain porkie I really had a sinking stomach feeling when I realized Edwin only had one tungsten beauty and it went off into blue yonder.
Blame USA Your name offends me :|
Good, Your country offends the world!
"You want that helmet?" Ah yes, a helmet to protect him against a 20mm round.
I love the tungsten round. Four frames from firing to hitting the mound and you can see the shockwave all the way.
Edwin! Love the videos... you guys should look into leasing a phantom high speed camera for these videos it would take it to a whole new level!
Yep
Yep
Yep
Lrahte
At 175k for top model and 30k for the lowest, I think even leasing one would be out of their price range.
Sound of 20mm hitting titanium in slow-mo sounds like apocalyptic fanfare.
That's some wild stuff man! Good stuff.
Lot of energy for sure thanks y’all for sharing your video with us all GOD BLESS

4:49 "Don't worry it's just an M1 Garand I KNOW that ping!" *Anti Tank Rifle* "Oh..."
When u say “Low on Rounds” It is a very challenging opportunity for the Bullet sellers Lol
Also you got to remember. The amount of energy transferred to the titanium was lessened because it wasn't a solid target.
nomad with a camera yea yea yea we know already
Lol
I always wanted to know. Thank you for that. 👏🏽
Build a frame and mount it in the ground for rigidity. It get hit and flys off. Like you were hitting a titanium armored car.
5:52 holy shit dose anyone pay attention to the ground there is SONIC WAVE
This is some of the baddest shit I've seen recorded! These guys did a great job with capturing sound details & the right angles
Does it make a difference if the target is secured to something more solid, like it would be on a tank or vehicle?
That missed Tungsten round was literally $100 down the drain
@Zooce Pierce a hundo is like a million bucks to some homeless and hungry guy somewhere in the world right now. It's all about perspective..
4:52 ps2 be like
Imagine getting shot by the 20mm Edit: they need better slow- mo camera
If you did there would not be enough of you left to fill a small ziplock bag.
I guess it would be something like this---> kzhead.info/sun/irmEfsORfWqqnXk/bejne.html
That is so weird. I was thinking the same thing on that 3rd shot. At least it would be quick...
Slomo guys?
That’s surely an expensive camera that he’s using and to get slomo guys level that’s much more expensive. The quality will always be lower as the speed of camera increases. They didn’t record this with some iPhone camera I’m sure.
That's why pilots of the A-10 Warthog are surrounded by a titanium tub.....
The impact of the bullet was so powerful I think it cracked my screen 😂
Are you going to release a Christmas album of the slow motion bell ring sounds? Maybe with some Gregorian chanting?
Titanium -I am bullet proof Nothing to lose far away far away
debayan das Fire*
That laugh had me laughing out loud. Great video!
Edwin buen dia!! ya deberias de agregar a tu equipo una camara de más fotogramas por segundo, se verian los impactos geniales 😎😎😎
Y si la bala rebota y la destruye ?
I worked as a aerospace machinist for many years and I can tell Titanium is one of the most difficult materials to machine. Not the most difficult however. But you have to watch it close, if you see just one spark the cutting insert is done and the machine is about crash.
Yes!! Handburn, I was starting to get worried it hadn't happened in a while, now we know he's all good!!

Yassssssss Edwin!!!! You show more scientific stuff like that you would win KZhead!!!
Thanks! I'll use this for home defense later on.
2:12 when two legend meets
Are all the white dots floating around after the hit fragments of the projectile? Very impressive ... wish I had one of my own and could afford to shoot it.
Bro, I've got to ask, what gets you access to all these weapons? Gnarliest stuff on this channel
Re: No bulging on the back of the target. Titanium tends to burn. You can see a lot of sparks when the 20mm round hits. So it may be that the energy of the hit goes into the burning of the Titanium on the front of the target instead of deforming the metal as you would expect on a steel target.
You shot it down, but it won't fall... it is Titaaaaaaaaaaniiiiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuum !

6:30 - You almost got a piece of metal in ya guys while you were standing up
One of the coolest things I’ve seen. Gj
Frigging awesome! Part of me wonders if the tungsten was stationary would there be more penetration?
You have to fix the target so it doesn’t move, the movement is absorbing the inertia of the projectile!
John Boyle Agreed.
You think you can make it stand still ,,, may be but impossible to me I think to me don't know ,,, but doesn't looks like ,, keeping it still would work bcuz it's titanium seriously not joking
Exactly, but the strength needed to keep it still should be equal to the amount of strength the bullet hits it, its a little math equation i think
Inertia is a property that cannot be transferred from one object to another.
Violet Canzonetti allow me to rephrase! It dissipates the energy buy allowing the target to move in the direction the projectile is traveling, thus minimizing the penetration! Or not.
Would it be possible for you to get your hands on a pig carcass and shoot it with both the 50 and the 20mm? Would be an interesting target.
Long Johnson he will need 2 of them for that but that's a good idea.
Long Johnson Prepare for vegans
Long Johnson mythbusters did the pig already. it was awesome check it out on mythbusters.com
clg632012 I can't find the difference so I guess just Hillary?
Lots of laugh, Great funny comment but against it.
Man I luv ur channel! U r AWESOME!!!
I was in the armor business and worked in the Middle East. There is a saying in the business, " he who shoots the most, knows the most". This brought back great memories.
That first impact.... holy shit
Imagine you wearing that as a body armor and get hit by a 20mm
Even if you did had a titanium body armor and get hit by a 20mm you'll most likely break every rib and flying backwards at the same time.
The impact from that would still kill you instantly. Shock would kill you.
I've never really realized how powerful guns are till that...
it would look awesome on taufladermous dummy . someone needs to call him
I say you should get some thick plexiglass like the mythbusters used. Even if it isn't bulletproof it should still protect against shrapnel.
I literally always see this on my recommendation fine I’ll watch it After the video:Dang that was an impressive video!
I found out how strong the terminator is.❤
Is that the bullet flying straight back at you?! Ah!
Spectacular! This is so much fun to watch. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to shoot 20mm. Thanks for the video.
Imagine if a 20mm MG existed
@@zolomon6933 welp, the GAU 8 exists, it isn't an 20mm but a 30mm MG
@@elegy5727 oh god
That impact sound in slowmo is some 2001: A Space Odyssey worthy sound effect.
Titanium is self hardening (work hardening) on impact from projectiles which makes it quite good for armour.
That's a lotta damage but it can be fixed with the flex seal line of products
The slow motion sound, is music to my 👂 😍
Could you set up a mannequin close to the target just to see what could happen if a person is close to the target?
Subtitles says the impact is music, I'm not entirely sure they're wrong.
Just throwing this out there: The biggest advantage of Titanium over steel is that it offers only slightly less strength at a far lesser weight AND it doesn’t oxidate. So it’s a more premium material than steel but NOT stronger than steel.
Steel isn't a real metal at the end of the day
@@dtxspeaks268 yeah, there’s dozens of kinds of steel after all, with different compositions to fit different purposes
Titanium and aluminum both oxidize quite strongly. It's just that the oxide layer formed protects against further oxidation. The oxide layer is what makes them hard to weld.
@@yamahantx7005 Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't know that about the protective oxidation layer.
Your wrong, Titanium is stronger than steel!
why did it take me so long to find this channel..
The sparks on the last one, looked spectacular!
Hey Mark ! Thanks for sharing, it was a cool video dude !
I think the armor piercing or Tungsten would be better, but I remember when I was in the Navy the CIWS gun would shoot 20MM depleted Uranium rounds.
Richard's World Traveler Edwin is the Man. I handled some heavy weaponry in the service, but never got to take them on a field trip... Just blowing holes in stuff 😀
Best for wedding! Church gong + Fireworks - Two in One
That was super cool I was a radar repair man on the Vulcan canon 20 mm one hell of around I never heard of a 20 mm rifle awesome
Question does this count as an explosive device or a gun?
This is the best acoustics I have ever heard in the desert.
We still wait for the tungsten round
The 90 degree angle is dangerous and doesn’t show real world chances
Red hot metal shard falling between them and the camera at 6:30, wow!!

Could you fire the 20mm standing up, if you put a stock on it? Use it like a regular sniper rifle.
I don’t see why not I think you might do better with the pistol grip though
They're shit you'd never use that as a sniper rifle
I just can't comprehend that the Gau-8 spits 30MM at a rate of 70 rounds a second - it must vaporize whatever it hits lol
reshi p the gau-8 on the a-10 warthog fires 30 mm depleted uranium rounds. There is a reason the warthog is known as a tank killer.
Noize Tv Don't run. You'll only die tired.
The canon.
Mark serbu fired a 20mm cannon one handed and with no scope hit the target at a moderate distance.. Epic.. Really cool..
That was a whole lot of kinetic energy transfer! I'd like to hear what it would have sounded like if target were made into a bell shape and hung on a rope.
