I think my favorite thing in the world is when dogs are grouchy when you’re giving them affection but the second you stop they’re like hey why did you stop?
Makes me think of a Coonhound mix we had years ago. I would tease him, not being mean, I would say " Are you a COONHOUND!? " And, he would sigh, like as if he was thinking "Oh shut up already". But, if I stopped he'd be like, "Hey, don't ignore me!" And, I'd pretend to eat his paws, I'd take a paw, and fake eat it, saying "numm Numm Numm", and he'd get all growly and mad, BUT, when I'd stop, he'd be like, "Why'd you stop?" He was maybe the most intelligent dog we ever had. NO fence could keep him in, not even with a "shock collar". It was supposed to send a gentle shock to the dog when it tried to jump your fence. He just let it shock him, and he still went over the fence. he literally climbed the chain links. He'd always come back, but, maybe times he'd return much smellier than when he left. A swim in the stagnant pond the neighbors had, a roll in the fields where the fresh manure had been spread by the farmers. He had such a HUGE personality. He died from what seemed to be congestive heart failure, complicated by a crew at the emergency vet clinic who didn't know what the hell they were doing. His breathing was labored, they took him back to treat him and some dumb F er sedated him. I am not a vet, but, sedating him had (in my mind) stopped him from being able to fight for all of the air that he could get. He flatlined twice before they gave up. They hadn't even charged me for his visit, either because they KNEW they did wrong, OR because of how hard I cried when he died. Maybe I am wrong, but, keeping him alert and a shot of lasix would have been best. One minute he's panting heavily, BUT alive, then he's knocked out and DEAD. Ummm... sorry, this had been a subject about how dogs like attention, and it went to my story. Sorry, but, maybe I should erase my story, but, I will leave it. If YOUR dog has symptoms that something is wrong, research it and don't just let your vet do whatever. My other dog was on lasix, a big Newfie mix had health problems too. If I would have just THOUGHT about it all good enough, I should have given the Coonhound mix a Lasix pill before the drive to the emergency vet clinic, and they knocked him out and then said they do NOT have any way to intubate him. Or to give him forced oxygen. I know when surgeries are done on animals, they have a way to force oxygen into their lungs, and, it's an EMERGENCY animal hospital/ clinic, so, WHY couldn't they save him? Why knock him out? At least when he was awake he could fight to breathe.

I look after my sister’s dog sometimes. He’s the biggest sook, and barely leaves me alone. Before I make him go outside, I’m like “go be a dog!” 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

I went thru this yesterday with my Mini/Chihuahua for almost an hour over her stealing my egg mcMuffin. My husband walks in to me having a full on conversation with my dog over the dangers of eating ppl food, getting a tummy ache, and needing a vet which means ouchies.

Redditington, the dog near the end of this video, looks like a Bulldog or Bulldog mix. We also see Rotties and Golden Retriever Mixed dogs here. Then a DOBERMAN that had fooled his daddy into making sure that he would always be his daddys buddy. And, at the 10:54 mark, that dog and his daddy is just my favorite part of this video. Seeing them together is just so sweet. You can see how much they love each other. Even IF people will lie or try to make things that are not good seem to be good, a dog is NOT going to do that. Just another reason to LOVE animals, and to maybe be wary of humans.

One of life's simple joys for me is witnessing dogs' amusing shift from grouchiness to instant demand for affection when attention is paused.

The horse's range of smell is more acute than that of humans but less sensitive than that of dogs. it seems like the most common behavior horses displayed if there were any behavior changes, is that they would sniff the pregnant woman's belly and the second most common was that they would become easier to handle and calmer.

I don't think she was really angry, the dog clearly seemed to think she was silly. I know some people who playfully smack their dogs on the butt and the dog's don't seem to mind at all, it's just loud like a clap. I knew a guy with a black lab who he spanked while it was napping and it didn't even lift its head to see what was going on.

Agreed. This list of videos annoyed me as so many people can't handle their pets and think they are just an amusement toy for social media and human pleasure. With each video my heart broke and my lack of faith in humanity grew even more.
