Mad respect to Henderson. The guy has been slated, belittled and hated on for years but he has never let it get to him. He deserves to win the title and captain a historic juggernaut like Liverpool. Personal feelings aside about them, but this guy is a true professional and a great worker for his team

Hendo’s story is one of my favorites. Brought from Sunderland, almost sold to Fulham shortly after. After he took over for Stevie as captain, even Liverpool fans gave him a hard time, questioning whether he was good enough to be in the team. But he never gave in and took his game to the next level. I’ll never forget his performance against Barça in the CL; he gave absolutely everything. And now, he will be remembered in history as captain of one of the, if not THE best Liverpool sides. He’s conquered them all. Well done, skipper!! Congrats!

Same here. Specially with SG who has a special place in my heart, I've grown up watching him and come to love this club because of him. But Hendo more than deserved my respect, he doesn't have to be the best player or to outshine anyone - he has become a great leader. You can literally feel how Liverpool perform when he is absent, he has indeed flourished under Klopp and I hope he continues to do so ❤️

@@dazza4105 Yes 100%, Henderson is not flashy, he does not attract attention because of his play style and thus why people underrate him. Rest assured he does more on the pitch than Pogba or Bruno combined. Hendo is the glue that keeps everything in the midfield, he runs like no tomorrow to defend, attack, pass, tackle, intercept and keeps everything simple. He's probably the second most important player in LFC behind Van Dijk. Just like Busquets in Barcelona, the reason why they could play tiki taka was because of Busquets, he kept everything simple yet he is so underrated.

Probably one of the most underrated player around. He can actually pick a pass and pack a decent shot. Also he may be the hardest worker in the team.
He's a captain for a reason. A great professional with strong mentality even when people compared him to VVD. The team conceded many goals recently was due to his absence. That shows importance of his presence.
I remember how we all thought he was a flop when he first signed for liverpool back in 2011. i remember the stick he and downing used to get. I remember his breakthrough season in 13-14 where he almost helped the team win the title. I remember when he succeeded Gerrard as captain and everyone doubted if he deserved the armband. And now I will remember how he is the only English captain to have lifted the PL, CL, FIFA Club world cup and UEFA super cup.
It has been a great journey

There could not have been more difficult position in the world of football than replacing Steven Gerrard as Liverpool FC captain, and especially at the time, after missing the title recently, not having won EPL for ever, and Henderson came through, Liverpool winning everything possible (but League Cup and FA Cup), being the leader in the field under Klopp´s amazing revolution in the club. Not only trophies, but economics of the club, stature of the club all around the world, we had Anfield expansion where other clubs left their old stadiums, hopefully part 2 is coming, and when the virus is done and over with, I challenge myself and everyone else of Liverpool fans to be the most amazing crowd on Earth, as we are. We won it!!

He's so modest... he even says the tottenham goal earlier in the season was his fault... basically he gave away the ball quite deep into tottenham's half, and then from that attack they scored.... it really wasn't his fault but it just shows the attitude of him. I'm from Sunderland, and actually from the same area as him... I used to play football in the same park as him but obviously never knew him then. So happy to see how he's done. Him and Milner are the absolute model professionals that all young footballers should try to emulate. Having senior players like that is absolutely key to have in a team, and you can see TAA growing up to be the perfect professional too.

Say what you like about him but the fact that he was a pivotal part of Brendan Rodger’s title challenge in 2014, Klopp’s reign now and arguably even England’s squad says heaps about him as a player. He’s not a fancy player by any standard but he does his job extremely well and deserves all the praise he’s getting at the moment in my opinion.
