  • Ethan williams, left foot, right foot it dont matter. Finding some proper form as well. Look forward to seeing him grow. A lack of pure quality for a lot of the rest of the game, but they just had liverpool midweek so its understandable theyd be tired. Keep going lads. dragged themselves through regardless.

  • with ffp getting stricter over the next couple of summers - club academies are going to become ever more important. we have ole to thank for this - it was him who convinced the board they need to go back to the roots of the club and not keep buying in "star players" even if the lads don't make it into the senior squad, its addition revenue if they are sold

    • Additional revenue doesn't matter in terms of finances. And the club already know this. Ole didn't make them realise this Players that are from the club and are sold goes against their FFP This way they can sell the young players and buy in the stars 😆

    • Good point that. And yeah, Ole did stress on the fact the utd youth teams should be the best in the country. A lot of talent was attracted under Ole. I don't think he got enough credit for that part in the club, the change of culture. Back to the united way

    • It was actually Murtough, not Ole. Ole had no real say btw and was basically the puppet of Woodward; happy to be in the job. That's why Ronaldo was brought in. So much for Ole's big push for youth.

    • @@jakesnake7126 ffp is dropping from 90% revenue to 80% revenue this summer, followed by another 10% reduction next summer. That's a 20% decrease on avaliable funds to pay transfers, agent fees and wages. Producing talent to sell as well as refreshing the senior squad is going to be instrumental for all clubs in top flight. Clubs that are net spenders now will be the worst hit because they are going to have to sell even more than they do today

  • His dad lives round the corner from my mum's in Gorton, good lad brought up by a football family, grounded and has the quality to become a big part of utds future. I agree with someone's comment before that there isn't much quality in the utd team. The LB amass is gona be good and Jack Fletcher but the rest look like the quality i play against in semi pro football, the right back (no.2) for utd and the 2 CBs are dog shit

  • Ethan Williams and Amass looked good. Harrison was solid. Central line looked soft, the CF, CDM, CB were too soft, unlikely to compete in U23 level right now.

    • Your point would be valid if it was correct, shame for you they are all a year or more younger. Mainoo goes 19 in March, Biancheri isn't 18 until September, Amass is still 16, Elyh Harrison is about the oldest turning 18 in 2 weeks.
