How the hell is there only 12 comments and this been on YT for like 8 hours? Growing up in Norfolk in the late 80s and all thru the 90s, AI was a legend starting in like 1991. I remember the lunchroom in HS the day after he crossed Jordan like it was yesterday. We would turn the school TVs on sportscenter and when it played that highlight literally 200-300 ppl went nuts. I’ll never forget that

I was in the stands when AI beat my high school team in Richmond Va for the State. I knew then he was something special!
Every time A.I. say practice now it's like an inside joke that the whole world gets 😆
Sad part about that is he had missed practice to go to a friend's funeral. And he's was saying really I just buried my friend and you're talking about practice?
Also with what we know with nutrition and sports science. Coaches wouldn’t have him at practice like they do now for high minutes players. They would be having him come in late morning for dry needling, ice baths, yoga, ivs, lunch, massage, some band work, pool work, and scouting reports. I’m from Philly and a die hard Sixers fan. Maurice Cheeks was my favorite player, point guard until Iverson took over the NBA and Philly. One thing for sure, you can’t teach heart. Iverson had the biggest heart in the game. 💪🏾✊🏾🏀🏀💯

Iverson is P4P GOAT - In my opinion. I can't imagine anyone else 5'11, 160lb doing what he did in the peak early 2000's NBA. IMO, he hit his prime in 04/05 - That was such an underrated season - 30ppg, 8apg, 2spg. First Team all NBA, ASG MVP, Scoring champ... Iverson started the regular 30p + 10a double double culture that Lebron, Russ, Harden, Luka have since taken to new heights. NBA wasn't the same when he left.

Ppl forget the politics of the game. AI got caught out there after 02 when he got arrested bc his wife dropped on him. His career was never the same. Frankly after 01 season he got married Then his boy Rah got hit up in VA. AI fell off in 02. Sixers were trying to move him for a minute Then Bill King was hired specifically for that purpose They got AI out after his contract 06 sent him to Denver with the hope for a Chip! camelo and him were there.... Then Bill left the Sixers - job done! Then AI wife filed for divorced and phucked him publicly with wild accusations Dude never rebounded from that NBA won't touch him No team wanted him. Bus ride after that Piston Memphis back to Sixers She refiled for divorce again. then he was officially out. Like Marbury he was Overseas..... He wouldn't listen. AI bullheaded. Coach told him avoid her! He got phucked! All that 31 yrs.... Just talk! He think if they see that the league will take him in the front office. They won't touch him They don't trust that situation at all! One day he will learn the politics of sports

@ Michael, I used to work @ 6 flags in MD. He used to bring 50 people with him. He would walk back to the catering area and eat with his people. I Escorted them and everything. It was crowds of people. He is the Real Deal. More respectful than any FAMOUS PERSON.

The 7 cities own! We love us some AI! I met his mother, aunts, and uncles in Jr High School. I was sitting back watching the hoopla over this #1-rated HS football and basketball star, with amazement. Once the incident at the bowling happened, my interest grew with my infuriation over that situation. One of his relatives filled me in on what was happening with his case. Then, made a personal appeal for my support. That was the only time before George Floyd that I ever protested publicly. I never looked back after that. I did then and still believe in him. If I had to name my dad's (RIP) favorite athletes I know he would list AI amongst Ali/Tiger/Jackie R./Jesse O./B. Russell/Dr. J.
