Beautiful Knife Buddy
Great video, very nice knife.
Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing it.
any time!!!
Great idea, and good video. The only thing lacking, is a close up of the finished knife. I tried to look at it while you were flipping it around. Not so easy to do! When you are done, show it off!
Just found your channel. Impressed. More please.
Thanks, will do!
pretty cool solution ty
customer still has it...he came back and bought a second one lol. so yeah key hole integral pinned to a blade would look absolutely insane.
Out f****** standing video.I'm so going to do this I love railroad spike knives just wish they had better steel never thought of this now I feel stupid thank you for sharing you're badass
Its what we do broseph!!!! Forge on!!!
Thanx for the shout out bud!
you betcha buddy
Rock on bub been watching u for a long time. It seems or has it been. Idk but great work and great idea. U rock. Till next time keep forging on bub....
Thanx man ill try and keep them coming!!!
Lots of promise with this design. I can see variations and options. Yours is really NICE as intended for kitchen knife. Geez I hope that didn't sound like wrong. Keep up the good work. Really showing lots of improvement over time in all the tight areas. Liked you back then...even better now. 🙏 blessings your way sirSir Crawford out 🧙♂️
Thanx crawford!!!
Killed it love it.
this could sell pretty fast at the fairs buddy and easy to make give her a go
@@CGSmithing oh I planned on it. Thinking W2 or 440 for the blade and rusty old spike I found near my property the first 10 spikes was given to me. I'm gonna try this out and then put it thru some test basically try to make it brake only difference is I plan on pinning with galvanized pins.
Timmys cup. So Canadian lol I love it nice job!
The best!
cant do anything without tims!!!
Nice job! I've seen a version of this before in the spike rasp knife by Old Hickory Forge. Keep up the good work!
ill go check it out!!! and thank you
I've tried several different ways to forge weld 1084 to a spike without success. The one successful knife I made for a neighbor who gave me a load of spikes was made essentially this way, and it's holding up just fine. I used 5160 for the blade.
Thumbs up for the tim's cup
TIMS FOREVER!!!
Great work, man. Extremely cool. I bet it'd look insanely cool if you gun blued everything, then sharpened it. Especially with brass or copper pins. BTW I like how the channel is starting to shape up.
i would look amazing!!!!! thanx man ive been trying hardm to get this thing going and it is a challenge
It's going in a good direction. The refinement will come with time.
That’s cool only change I is I would use steel pins instead of brass and I think a couple of Welds would be necessary but still cool design
starting now
How long and thick are these raileoad spikes?
Great vid! One thing I was wondering is when you hammered the blade down into the spike were you hammering the tip? It was cut off so I couldn’t see what was happening
Think it was a piece with the same dimentions just to seat it good for the blade
@@CGSmithing makes sense thanks!
Just noticed the Tim's coffee cup..So are you Canadian too?
I am Now yes wasnt at that time of the video. Born and raised South-African
Would be nice to see a close up of your efforts where you weren't waving it around like a flag.
Nice job, but not really a k bar without having a guard..
I did say kbar style not building a kbar knife...and thanx buddy
Do you still have this knife for sale??
this knife was for a customer sorry buddy
Not that one, The one you made that you were using in your kitchen and said you would sell it
@@sjs2002gd yeah that one sold 2 days after that vid came out buddy
Damn was hoping you still had it
@@sjs2002gd sorry broseph these go pretty fast.
Secure that vise. Get a wire brush
i did. that bad boy is now welded to a steel beam and bolted to the floor
The fact you never show the finished product in any great detail is killing me. Nice video other than that.
What would you like to see buddy and ill start throwing it in for the people i promise
@@CGSmithing It would be great if you gave the finished knife a showcase upclose 360 degree view in the end of the video.
Thank you for pointing that out I wanted to see it because I thought this would be fun to make
Blah blah blah
Wah wah wah...
@@CGSmithing ha ha ha......
