Chuck just repeats the same old tired narratives about Luka and he clearly doesnt actually watch the games. The Mavs were one of the highest pace teams in the league this season and Luka was 2nd in assists. Yet chuck is still whining about how he needs to play faster and pass more. It's embarrassing.
I understand what you’re saying. But I have to agree with chuck here. In the two games, Luka has decided to not push the ball at all and our offense looks like the offense of last year. He is denying the transition and opting for slow possessions. Luka needs to punish the team that was the worst in the league at transition defense by actually pushing the ball in transition. Also, Mavs in 5.
As a Mavs fan I disagree. I think Luka’s phenomenal and they’ve got a great team this year, and a decent shot to go far, and no doubt Luka is a massive contributor to that, but if Luka could add off ball movement to his game and the Mavs run more complex schemes they would be another tier up in lethality. That synergy and off ball movement is part of what made prime Golden State the best team ever, despite having two of the best offensive players ever on top of the second best shooter. I think Chuck is actually more of a Luka fan than Shaq or Kenny, but I think he wants him to take a step up in his game rather than just making reads off the defense-which is no doubt effective, but why not add another layer to your bag? Luka’s used to having to carry his team, but now that he’s got a better one, not being the vast majority of your offense (apart from what he splits with Kyrie) makes the defense have to respect multiple threats. What Chuck is saying is if Luka’s going to shoot 12-28 or whatever, let him, or even make the incredible shots he is, and let your whole team out perform the one. Tonight’s best plays imo came from when Luka and Kyrie played off of each other, like when Luka passed it to Kyrie who threw it behind his back to the open PJ in the corner for a 3. If they could play off of each other more like that, and involve others like that and make cuts without the ball etc, they’d be harmonizing like Denver, and would lose much more of a threat to them should they face them.

@@bobtheominc4838 I'd love for them to run a more complex offense. But Luka isn't the one holding them back from that. It's Jason Kidd. He isn't capable of drawing up an offense that complex. And if somehow he is capable he is choosing not to. Luka isnt the one who designs the schemes. That's the coaches job.

yes Clippers let one get away. they shot just 37% from the field and only lost by 3 *and* held the Mavs to 96 points. Mavs only scored 1 more point in game 1 and got smoked by 12, would’ve been by more if not for the garbage time points. 8-30 26% 3PT. several missed layups, dunks, and tip ins. 2 crucial missed FTs from Zu in the 4th quarter. so yeah…Clippers let this one get away for sure.

Kenny saying this is a typical Mavs win is 100% false. We played great defense but this was far from how dominant we were to end the season. Mainly because our bigs have yet to dominate. Once that happens we will see that big 20 point win. We also aren’t running as much in transition which will come, our defense has been better so it will come. And finally, we aren’t limiting our turnovers. The Mavs have led the league in terms of keeping their turnovers down.

Chuck, my dude, Luka's been trusting his teammates for a long while. If they average 16 assists, then 7 or 8 are from Doncic, and 2 or 3 are hockey assists. They are not making a lot of their shots. It's not been an efficient serie so far. Oh, and they're reducing the pace on purpose so George, Mann, Powell and Westbrook can't run laps around them on fastbreaks and counters off of missed shots.

Chuck calling out Luka's 11/26. Look at the shooting across the board in the playoffs. The majority of the star players are having bad shooting nights due to the physicality with very few exceptions. If people want 90's physicality they are going to get 90's shooting percentages.

You dont understand games 1 and 2 have no travel they stay in the same city. Game 3 they have to travel thats why its a 2 day break
Usually there is supposed to be 1 off day between games where they play back to back home games. (Example: g1 denver G2 denver 🛫 g3 LA g4 LA 🛫 g5 denver 🛫 g6 LA 🛫 g7 denver When they travel thats when they're supposed to get 2 days off but for tv reasons i assume they cant have 4 games on every day because then there will be days with 0 games and losing money

The difference in this game was Kawhi going 0-5 from deep and Harden going 2-10 from long distance and the Clip bench not contributing with their usual solid offensive point production; now they have to win 1 in Dallas! *Anybody know why James is guarding Luka in a close game down the stretch as opposed to Claw or Playoff P taking the defensive assignment?

the mavs realized that they let harden party on them and they made a lot more effort to limit him. they still didn't shoot well cause pg and kawhi are also good defenders. this series will be deciced by nerves and focus. both teams can shoot the moon if they get stricky.

James and PG shouldve played with that same aggression as they did in Game1. Kawhi coming back obviously switched up the game plan, maybe he shouldve come off the bench mid-way through the 1st to let the guys keep that rhythm from last game. But the sooner you get a star player back in rotation the sooner he gets back comfortable on the court. 🙏🏾💪🏾
Zubac was hot in game 1 but not game 2. I was really stoked when he was starting to get aggressive in the fourth but Mavs shot too good to keep up. 3 point loss is not too bad. Still hope.

Barkley acts like Luka was bad for shooting 42% and Kyrie for shooting 44%. Paul George’s career playoff shooting percentage is 42% and James Harden’s career shooting percentage is 44%. It’s the playoffs Chuck.
Tough loss for my Clippers today. This series is gonna be a dogfight, so credit where credit is due for the Mavs. I am encouraged though considering how bad we played and the end score.
