Sure his volume was still there scoring wise and he facilitated the offense as usual, which is why it's better to have him play even when his shooting is off like it's been. But you can't expect them to beat OKC and DEN/MIN with Luka shooting sub 30% from 3P line. He averages like 10 3Ps attempted per game and he's got to make more of them going forward or the Mavs aren't going to make a deep run.
@@JustTheFacts45 dude as a Mavs diehard fan and watched the whole series. Luka currently struggling on the 3pt line. Hopes he gets back his 3pt range once again before the next round. The good thing is he still contributes to the other aspects of the game (defense, assists, etc).

Harden and George just shrink in moments like these. Game 5 was the worst. The reason you put up a super team is so one player gets injured you have multiple stars to cover that spot, harden and george dont have it in them.

Luka was not even his usual self. Game 5 was the first "usual Luka" game he had. Round 2 starts tuesday. Hopefully he fine by then. Or like someone suggested, let him rest game 1. Im a UK NBA fan from far away and different sporting culture but I can tell you Tim Legler is my go to reaction for games and and analysis. A real Pro. I can't believe the US has so many dramatized fools on prime tv for this sport. If I have to watch segments with people like Nick Wright it actually puts me off the sport. Redick seems cool, Inside guys are good for comedy, but just too many other self righteous idiots on tv.

This is a Great Team. They all are Fun to watch Play together. They are like a burrito with lots of different flavors but they all fit together and.tastes good.
The Mavericks can win the title. Don't know if they will, but they can. They have it all: size, skill, toughness, rebounding, great (not good) defense, and expert coaching.

What’s really changed with the Mavericks is their defense it was really suspect early on in the year but now it looks like the whole team is on board with playing aggressive defense.
The problem with pg and harden they are not consistent. Not like kyrie and luka when they are needed they can score at least 20 even on their bad days.
That’s why the clippers needed a healthy kawhi badly.
Luka played awful besides 1 game, got carried by kyrie.
The clippers never were the same after forcing Kawhi into the Line up back in Game 2. It was Jameer Nelson situation all over again.
There's going to be a back story to that. Adam Silver meddling was why Lue was rushing Claw back too soon. Meanwhile Russ probably still never adjusted from his broken hand that was only 6 weeks ago. Bones Hyland was out the whole series. If Bones is healthy for 15 minutes per game, full lineup, Clippers would smoke Mavs. Thunder gonna be really tough for Mavs.

So really they still could have won this series as long as you don't screw up the flow of the offense by forcing Kawhi into the line up.

That was no mistake on Tucker. Their entire gameplan was to just pretend him and Westbrook weren’t on the floor when they were in the corner. Every possession that ended with a shot from Tucker/Russ is an automatic win regardless if they make some.

Feel for Harden a little bit in the sense that he pretty much left Houston partly because he wanted to have less of a scoring load. But he keeps playing with underperformers (Paul George, Embiid) or injured guys (Kawhi) and that means he has to score more. And that just exposes the fact that he's not that good of a scorer anymore. 13 assists to 1 turnover is very good, but only 16 points just shows how much his scoring has fallen off. He could never lead a team then, and certainly can't now he's older and less athletic. Russell Westbrook is an absolutely diabolical basketball player. 34% TS in the series is just horrendous.
