  • "FURY HAS ALL THE ADVANTAGES, BUT.." LOOL no he doesn't, Fury has Height Reach and Power, advantage, Usyk has hand speed, footwork, number of angles and combos, stamina, skill and punch volume out put advantage. Tyson has great foot work and skill for his size, but Usyk is one of the most skilled boxers of all time, he's skilful on a pound for pound level, same with his footwork and ring craft.

    @jacksmith4460@jacksmith44606 ай бұрын
    • A lot of it will come down to Fury's conditioning and mental commitment to training and executing a game plan for a HW Lomachenko. There is a calculation of how much more energy Usyk will have to expend to get inside, score and get out without being grappled and leaned on.

      @dsm5d723@dsm5d7236 ай бұрын
    • Lmfao, Usyk got dragged the distance by a 40 year old Chisora, got bust up and hurt by a big, stiff, gun-shy robotic Joshua and got dropped by a dubois body shot, so badly he had to fake a low blow Tyson Fury dominates Usyk, then KO's him and sends him either back to the cruiserweights or into retirement

I just think the size difference is gonna make all the difference, because all the skill levels of both fighters ain't far off evenly matched, but as the saying goes, a good big guy, will always beat a great small guy. Tyson has so many different ways to win, if he finds one tactic doesn't work, he will adapt and keep adapting until he finds something that works, he certainly isn't going to be bullied in there, so he has certainly got the size and strength to deal with anything Usyk has to offer. I reckon it will be a 12 round bore-fest.

That said, just watched Ngannou in a past fight. Big guy, lots of muscles. Nice guy, great story, slow as molasses. Not built for boxing. Don't think he's going to rush Fury and push him around. Was hoping he could put together a quick in and out for body shots but I don't think so. I think body shots are his only chance but I just don't see how he's getting close enough to swing those tree trunk arms of his before Fury puts a jab or a jab and an upper cut on him. Hope I'm wrong because he seems like a nice guy. But I don't think so.

    • @Nemoticon mate if it's just going to be jabbing, Fury wins every round until Usyk gets KO'd or quits How is Usyk supposed to get close enough to Fury to do anything more than tickle him? Fury keeps it long until Usyk inevitably tries to come inside, Fury then blasts him with the uppercut (like Whyte) then ties him up, leans all over him and waits for the break, rinse & repeat Thats a shorter, way more entertaining fight than the 12 round bullshit borefest you predicted I also think Fury has the faster hands, equal footwork, better boxing knowledge and IQ, can control a ring better, has the better engine and being a switch hitter who can fight o the front or back foot and everything in between has the better skill range that a small, southpaw who had no real power even at cruiserweight

  • Teddy nearly hit the nail on the head with saying Tyson fury has all the advantages (genetically) he should have said that fury should be classed as a super heavyweight. Rocky Marciano was 5'6 and 13 stone . How would that look against fury ? That's why fury cannot be classed the same .

  • Tyson exploits weakness in his boxing.. Usyk is weak in taking unrelenting punishment.. Fury’s over optimistic trust in his chin .. is not a weakness but a strength.. he fights much better at 270 than he did at 255 .. his strength and punch resistance is through the roof.

    @mbrookscontact@mbrookscontact6 ай бұрын
    • When has Fury ever dished out unrelenting punishment? Wilder 2 was not that he leant on him a lot to tire Wilder out(whilst still landing a decent amount of power) and then when Wilder was tired he battered him, he's hardly "Mr Gas Tank" , but Usyk is. Usyk doubles the punch out put of everyone in the division, if anyone is giving out unrelenting punches it will be Usyk. Usyk starts off a fight throwing more than his opponents, and then as the fight goes on, he throws even more punches than his opponent, his out put just goes up and up and up Tyson wont and cant win on points, if he wins it will be by KO, which is possible, both are highly skilled, and if anyone can catch Usyk its probably Fury and I agree Fury is very smart and will look for openings, but he wont beat Usyk by gassing himself out with none stop attack. If he comes at Usyk he will have to lean on him a lot and tie him up and trap and keep him in the corner, and even then Usyk has the best footwork in the division (and its not even close), and fury may fail to keep that ring small. I actually think Usyk will win on points, but it would not shock me at all if Tyson manages to exploit an opening (likely middle rounds) and KO's him. I'm 60/40 Usyk , but it will be a great fight

    • Usyk is exactly the guy against whom that won't work, or as well as it has against anyone else. Fury had better lose some weight and get into the best shape of his life if he fights Usyk.

    • @@jacksmith4460lol Fury dominated Chisora in 3 fights, the last fight Fury carried the man for 6 rounds, using open palms to hit him and still had Chisora outclassed, gassed and done... Meanwhile Usyk got dragged the distance in a harder than it should have been, closer than it was predicted fight, with that same late stage Chisora Also Fury went at Tom Schwartz from the opening bell and put on a punch perfect display of skill & power, getting the KO in 2 rounds, also much of his early career Fury was known as a big puncher & KO artist You casuals are all the same, you're boxing knowledge is only extends to about 6 years deep and only around a handful of fighters, the ones manufactured/tailored specifically for the casual fan!!

  • For me Fury has been the best around BUT there comes a time when your lifestyle vs the other guy's lifestyle catches up with you ( a la Hatton v Mayweather, Spence v Crawford) and this is the fight where you reach an age and you dont have that youth to get you out of trouble and you rely on your conditioning and longevity ...Fury wont have it...Usyks conditioning and longevity will be too much for a points win....Fury i reckon may even get docked points for grappling n leaning on Usyk trying to wear him down while trying to survive.... come back and like this comment after it transpires. I do want Fury to win but he wont...lifestyles catch up at elite level...this fight is elite level.

  • To unpack Teddy's point, Usyk's main advantage over Fury is his experience. Usyk had over three times as many amateur fights as Fury, culminating in an Olympic gold medal; at an Olympic Games in London where Fury did not even represent Great Britain. That immense experience has made Usyk something of a skeleton key inside a boxing ring. There is nothing you can do that he has not seen before and have a workaround for. That is why he finds ways to win: because he has found them long before he turned professional. And he proved that sheer size is not a problem with AJ (better built and not much shorter than Fury). I cannot wait for Usyk to prove a tonne of people wrong one last time.
