Oleksandr Usyk is just one belt short of claiming the ultimate crown in the royal division*. It's time to recall the pivotal moments of the boxing game of thrones that brought the Ukrainian Joker to the pinnacle of fisticuffs.

    @WrestleGermainia@WrestleGermainia8 ай бұрын
    • Joshua was good in the first fight too and nowhere near as bad as he was made out to be. Yes, of course Usyk was better via being busier and landed more that Joshua, despite Joshua avoiding many of Usyk's punches when making him miss, because he (Joshua) is a far better boxer than many give him credit for,. His biggest mistake though in both fights was that it seemed like he knew Usyk did not have the power to hurt him, so he was sometimes willing to be hit several times in bursts and combinations from Usyk, in order to get in his own single or on the odd occasion combination of punches himself, but the hits he took added up on the scorecards.

Other than the chubby Mexican there is nobody. All the European fighters he beat were journeyman at best. There just are no MONSTERS now. There is not one SCARY FIGHTER. Not one. And when LEWIS, TYSON, BRUNO, SPHINX, HOLMES, PINKY THIOMAS and so so many more were in the prime, there was MONSTERS EVERYWHERE. TYSON couldn't even knock out everyone. And he had quite a few fights go the distance. Usyk is the best of them right now in modern era. But it's still not saying much. He is the best out of a pile of shit. Cuz Fury suxks. His record is a joke. He has only fought a few legitimate fights. And even though he lost once to WILDER, that still isnt saying much..Cuz WILDER is SLOPPY SLOPPY SLOPPY and uncoordinated. He just does not throw nice combos. One trick pony. Joshua is a big goof. Not a legitimate fighter. There is no one outside of Usyk who Fury does not want to fight. Cuz Usyk will whip his ass take his title and expose what a paper champ he is... Usyk is king of a pile of shit heavys... Still worse era of boxing ever. And not worth the price of admission.

    • That's it, in the early days of boxing it was poor white Americans, including Jewish who had been hardened in tough conditions in early 20th century US. Later it was blacks and latinos who started to dominate coming from harsh urban lives and poverty. This continued while the eastern soviet bloc was denied opportunity by their rulers but they were no match for the Americans in olympic boxing though the Cubans showed the potential of communist discipline by matching the Americans in the amateurs. It was inevitable once more black Americans and latinos started to get used to an easier life and the discipline and drive that comes from hardship is no longer there as started to happen in the 1980s and move onto less demanding more rewarding sports like NFL, the quality of boxers steadily began to decline. The eastern europeans once free from communism were bound to become a force to be reckoned with. Those who maintained that austerity and almost military discipline were certain to produce champions once all the techniques, trainers and knowledge etc was at their disposal.

    • That's the thing though. Is that Fury is a very accomplished technical boxer in his own right, but can also step in and knock Usyk out cold in an instant. At any rate fury is much less gun shy than AJ and has a much better chin, more technical skill and far better recovery. AJ just gets timid honestly Usyk is just incredibly small compared to Fury but Fury moves like a much smaller man but still punches like a man his size when he wants to. If he wants to step in and Maul in the clinch Usyk can't stop him from doing so, and that would drain him dramatically. There's no way Usyk is knocking him out, and I just don't think he has the power to stop Fury or the strength to resist him. The caveat is that I'm talking about an In-Shape and truly motivated Fury. Because I think Tyson fury's biggest problem is not staying motivated, not taking training seriously, and losing his true passion and drive. Hell always love the sport, but I think at times his hunger and the fire just isn't in him. But an in shape and motivated Fury mauls him In MY opinion. Fury just has more ways to win, and what size isn't everything, it does mean a hell of a lot when a man who's far far larger is extremely technically skilled in his own right, but can also step in and throw real heavyweight leather knowing you can't knock him out.

  • I think Tysons reach would be the decisive factor, and he's a freak of nature, he's deceptively fast with this body for a guy his size.

    • Tyson would destroy him. He’s too big, too fast and to good with his footwork. Nobody his size should be able to do what he does. Usyk is already too small, against fury he’d bet tortured

  • The way he steps into and around his opponent in close quarters is insane. Never seen anything like it, and the clean shots with great accuracy makes it look like he's just picking shots rather than just throwing for quantity

  • Usyk is just smarter than the rest, the angles, the combos/timing, plus he's very quick and doesn't seem to get tired. I can't imagine a 5 round fight, let alone 36 minutes, especially for the big boys.
