Crazy A$$ Jonathan Pentland Who Assaulted Black Man, Flees From Home After Arrest & Massive Protests
The White Army non-commissioned officer in South Carolina who was caught on video assaulting a black man is out of jail.
Released on a personal recognizance bond, Jonathan Pentland is charged with 3rd-degree assault. He's only facing a maximum of 30 days in jail and a $500 fine.
Earlier this week, this video was posted of Pentland threatening a Black man walking in the neighborhood.
Since the video went viral, hundreds of people flooded the neighborhood to protest.
The crowds gathered in front of Pentland's home.
Last night, it got so bad, the Richland County deputies were called to the neighborhood shortly after 8 p.m.
The officers escorted the Pentland family from the home to another location.

The charges against this guy falls short. In addition to criminal charges, Pentland should be sued for civil rights violations. This also will have major negative effects on his military service and discipline.
Once the civil side is done with him the military will charge him. There's no double jeopardy when it comes to the military.

Oh something is going to happen. When you get charged out in the civilian sector, you get charged in the military sector. The UCMJ is a lot stricter on offenses and there's no double jeopardy. Guaranteed since a public statement was made by the pr office of the army, he will be dealt with once he's done serving time on the outside. His family will also feel the effects of his actions. He won't be handled with the same kitten gloves inside. Especially since this made national and international headlines. He's a security risk.

I got lost in a neighborhood in Chapin once, I got looks from someone like I so didn't belong there, but managed to walk past the Governors mansion and talked to Peg McMaster and it went good. Who would think? with a cop guard at the gate as I was talking to their dog. It did not go bad at all but it manages to at some other spots, lower middle class white spots even and tbh would not trust the white liberals in Columbia and I speak as someone who has some leanings too. I see that downtown crowd wanting to make it like Portland kind of. I think theres instances low whites can be meaner down here if u go down the wrong street. Some of the bars are members only too like Pams Front Porch. Low to middle class whites, not upper class people even. Someone looked at me when I went in that place.. sizing me up but sitting down. Smoke filled place too. At a blacker bar, the guards were tough, I couldn't even take a knife inside or go in with a tank top and girl shorts. kept sending me back so i said fuck it.. its not worth it. Not sure if he also didn't want me in there because of my race.. even if I was mixed so I get shit from a LOT of people. Because of him, I will not go back again. a customer in what coulda been me got put off. Now do I think deep in the woods its racist a ton? not all the time, sometimes I feel its in suburbs where people want to "keep them white" though. We need to file lawsuits against prosecutors that don't apply these laws equally. lawsuits with their names on them. Call them out put their records on public display and not let up. They have a responsibility to the citizens all they serve not just the ones they deem likable. We need to form a nonprofit just for this purpose.
Agreed. I highly recommend and encourage you to send this idea to some top lawyers and civil rights organizations, including the ACLU and the NAACP. Sometimes it just takes us citizens to provide the seed of an idea for it to take hold and move to action.
