  • UPDATE: Ronnie Long was paid $22 million by the city of Concord in addition to $3 million by the State Bureau of Investigation for their acts of hiding evidence of his innocence. He now spends his days seeking ways to aid others who are in what was once his situation. The City released a public apology, which he is hoping will do something to make his case more publicly known.

    • @shiprnecam1 Prison is never a place where you attend to receive trusted counselling from repentant criminals. Miscarriage of justice should have been overturned longtime, with the evidence of judgement in his case, locked away in an office desk. Meanwhile, he didn't give into prison lifestyle, he became a bonafide Clint Eastwood with badman style, understanding that he is in pain. Prison has made him a rugged man. He's good having paid the price for crimes he didn't commit. The governor should invite him to lunch with his family and give him a breathe of good fellowship. The money is secondary in this case. What do you expect him to do with the funds? Buy a McDonald's franchise? He should pack his luggage with a lady friend and hit the Caribbean sunset 🌇 and get tropical refreshment. May God bless him, and watch over him. He will recover from his ragamuffin style, he has looked after himself very well. Respect to him, anday his parents rest in peace. 44 years is unacceptable, when evidence was available to acquit him, he was left to pay the price for someone else's crimes. That is too hard to contend with. This is terrible experience for anyone innocent.

    • Please sir! I just read your comment about being in prison with him. It is a dirty shame that his life was spent wasted in there. I have a brother who was also falsely accused of a sexual crime, framed by his former wife, and has spent 13 years behind bars. We are trying to find an attorney who is not afraid to take on the government.
