    • @@hoangha2 Yes the OHS standards that save lives that so many Americans despise and claim are a waste of time and money are not in place or enforced in places such as India. As a result many men die early or are severely disabled unable to provide for their families due to work related injuries or health conditions.

  • Appropriate repair for hopefully a tractor tire that won’t be on the road. Apparent dry rot seen in the beginning. Hats off for the skills shown.

    • @@binaypatel8202 because in the USA legal issues discourage repairing a tire that really should be replaced. It’s totally different in a country where getting a replacement tire might take days. In most major cities we can get a new tire within an hour. For a commercial vehicle most operators want to get back on the road ASAP. Furthermore, if I repaired a sidewall cut and then the vehicle got in an accident, I’d get sued. And then there’s the high cost of labor. For most small nails in tires, we just used tire glue and a patch. It’s fast and the recommended procedure which is considered safe and efficient.

      @timmer9lives@timmer9lives2 жыл бұрын
    • @@timmer9lives the truth is,in the USA, nobody would bother to do such hard and dirty work,when someone in China could manufacture a new tire while being paid the equivalent of a McDonald’s happy meal for their days wages.

  • Instead of the tractor tire being repaired in a Western Country, it would have ended up in a landfill. Thank you for showing us the repair. Excellent!!

    @eighthof8@eighthof82 жыл бұрын
    • No doubt the man was working hard in poor conditions, but I'd hate for my family to be anywhere near the vehicle with this tire when it eventually blows out. A safe, expensive replacement tire is required in western countries because it's the responsible thing to do. The laws in this man's country must be different.

  • I presumed that was his two sons working with him, a bit rough and ready but for a tractor tyre in the condition it was in the job he did was perfectly satisfactory including the vulcanisation. A tyre company in the Uk would refuse to repair such a tyre and inevitably you would have to buy an expensive replacement. make do and mend seems to be the by word in Pakistan which keeps thousands of men employed all be it health & safety goes out of the window.

  • This guy has a pHd in applying one piece of old garbage rubber and sticking it to another piece of old garbage rubber. There are moments when sticking them together is a art form at a very high level. The suspense was high as he took another piece of crappy rubber and stuck it to another piece. He makes it look very easy, but it is actually one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in the world. At night, sometimes the rubber becomes a monster and attacks him from all sides even sticking to his face. In these cases, he must call the emergency phone number for the local rubber man, called fat guy.

    • @@MrCraiglj Propably the broken steel wires are the cause that the tire broke in the same place again(as you can see previous square patch in that exact place when he showed the inside first time) and more ruber on the inside will not gonna fix it... But you are right that the peling off in the inside is most likely not gonna cause any issue here because of the tube.
