The most cost-effective option for both the ruling elites and Nigeria as a whole is to acknowledge Peter Obi's victory officially through the judiciary and do the swearing-in accordingly. The option of an interim government will not be good for Nigeria's professional politicians because it means back to square one (i.e. to the pre-1999 era). Obi's installation as president has big advantages for everybody as it solves the problem of Igbo exclusion and marginalization while enabling the system to correct and democratically renew itself in such an interesting manner that ordinary Nigerians will henceforth consider it worthwhile to participate in elections.
