Yahaya Bello: EFCC Chairman's Press Conference a Complete Trial by Media - Bwala

2024 ж. 23 Сәу.
94 284 Рет қаралды

What happened yesterday was a prosecutor doing his opening address in view of prosecuting a matter with the media acting as a judge. A right-thinking member of the society will know that this press conference was a planned script to give Yahaya Bello an escape route

  • I was heartbroken hearing the EFCC confirm that Bello siphoned 720k as an advanced payment for his child school fees. These politicians are wicked. The time has come where every public officer can no longer be let loose without giving an account of how they handled public funds. They must refund all stolen money and face prosecution.

  • It's a shame to hear the EFCC chairman say that He accorded a special honour to a public officers like Yahaya Bello, who had plundered Kogite of the common resources. That's an indictment on the part of the EFCC Chairman. As Nigerians we are faced with a majority of our society that honours corrupt public officers, but now the body entitled to prosecute public officers who are plunders the people whose mandate they were support to protect.

  • Our culture of impunity in this country is legendary, it has no parallel anywhere in the world. Yayah Bello and all of those in their clique knows this very well, that is why you see him (and them) make mockery of the law. Mind you, Nigerian judicial system is a caricature one, so weak that it's only the poor and the defenseless it's can catch and not people like Bello and his likes. That is why you see him behaving as one above the law.

  • A law enforcement agency does not need the approval of the court before arresting a suspect. Once there is a reasonable suspicion of a commission of crime and reasonable premise that if the suspect is not arrested, he can interfere with investigations or prosecution or run-way, the law enforcement agency can arrest. The court cannot validly order a law enforcement agency not to arrest unless there is a valid ground.

Non of them have come anywhere close to giving an excellent analysis of the law ( with respect to this case) like DANIEL BWALA. You could hate him if you want. You can misconstrue what he is saying. You might even have a personal disdain for him for doing some of the things he did in the past. But you cannot listen to his analysis here and say that BWALA is not an intelligent man. Let's put sentiments, politics, emotions, and every other negative factors aside......BWALA IS 100% ON POINT HERE. He not taking any side......he is simply breaking down the law, and the legal implications of not following proper protocols. This man gave an EXCELLENT breakdown of this ongoing drama. BWALA speaks like a true professional... with intelligence and substance. He is simply saying that the EFCC might/could create loopholes if the legal protocols are NOT properly followed..... loopholes that could subvert justice in this case.

  • I'm not aware of any law that says a person must first be invited. When the issue of arrest comes, what is material is whether or not a warrant of arrest must be obtained or not. Second, there was no law breached when the EFCC chairman called the said person. As a matter of fact, it even promoted the presumption of innocence guaranteed by law. Even the Courts release people on bail by self-recognisance and it's not counted for bias

  • We need people that understands the law to work at EFCC legal team. Not man know man lawyers If you really understand the law you will know that they shot themselves on the leg. Thats why the end up not persecuting any high profile individual Check the former governor of Abia state,Ekiti state and the rest. Truly there isn’t any need for all this media drama if there really understand how the law works

  • Yahaya Bello is suffering from the curse of many people he cut their pensions without paying them as at when due. The curse is what is making him to put himself into more trouble until he has returned all the stolen money. With that return of funds from the American school, Bello has been finally nailed. He has behaved like a common criminal. And will surely be prosecuted.
