It’s time for a drag race you didn’t know you needed… Until today!
We’ve got Mat in an Audi S4, and it’s lining up against a Lamborghini Huracan Evo! Think it’ll be a walkover for the Lambo? Well, all is not as it seems! Let’s take a look at the stats.
The Audi rolls up powered by a 3-litre V6 turbo that can normally produce 350hp and 500Nm of torque. However, the team at Awesome GTI have tuned it, and it now produces 560hp and 840Nm of torque! It’s still equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at around 1,700kg.
Then we come to the Lambo. It’s powered by a glorious 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 that can produce 640hp and 600Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at around 1,500kg.
There’s one key difference between the two though. While the Lambo costs just below £200,000, the Audi S4 only costs £24,000! But can it take down the Huracan? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

@@GerbenBol Ah, they have massive Cummins units. In Europe we have people who modify 2 litre VAG diesels and have smoke pouring out the back and ridiculous turbo noises, all for less than 170bhp.

As someone who owns a B9.5 A4 and whose dad has a B9.5 S5 Sportback (we're in the US, so both are TFSI, not TDI), I approve of this.
The RX-7 Veilside Widebody Kit 800bhp vs B9 S4/S5 could be an amazing choice.

Have to say on the replay. I am not convinced that the Audi S4 won the second drag race. In order to improve the slow mo finish I would suggest a drone which would give a raised view of the finish and a bit closer as well.
The Audi S4 won by only 0.0029 seconds in 2nd drag race.

yeah people claim bs hp on their numbers all over the internet. I have a B8 S4 Supercharged and people upload videos like how the Car is doing 100-200 in 11.XX secs with a stage 1, meanwhile theres many other guys including me who can do 10.3 with a stage 1. Reason is because we actually have people who know what they are doing instead of getting the cheapest and braindead software from costco because they saved 200 bucks... So many cars in carwow videos are badly remapped it just hurts, especially because people think they only need a engine ecu tune but no gearbox remap, thats why so many cars broke down lol...
Full bolt on B9s are running low 10s easy, some are even dipping into the 9s. Good to see this platform getting some recognition. They are fast as hell without much effort

Its a HUGE surprise, the S4 is a lot more down on power, a lot heavier. Theres absolutely no reason why the S4 could even remotely beat the Lambo. This gives me Porsche vs Everyone else vibes.

That B9 tune gives a very consistent performance! 560hp not a ridiculously high number but i think just perfect for this car!

you can tell the front and rear lambo wheels are different sizes because of how the shutter effect makes them seem to move at different directions. pretty cool effect.

I had a 2019 RS5 and 2022 S5. Currently own a 2024 M2. Other than the understeer in the S5 due to the lack of sport differential in my model (definitely option that), I preferred the single turbo setup of the S5 over the RS5. Not to mention the OEM sport exhaust sounded exotic as hell. With the 034 tune its an 11 second car flat which you can pickup used in sportback form which is super practical for under 50k. It's a great deal for a daily driver. But defintely look for the sport exhaust and differential.

Audi definitely lost sales when they decided to put a diesel in the S4. In fact, i think Audi enjoys not seeling as much of their S and RS models as BMW and Merc sells their sporty models. That right there, was self sabotage. Bring back the petrol S models.
They do still have petrol models, but many of them are hybrid now :(
its the VW's group decision to do that,they wanted more people to buy the porsche and Lambo.Audi did make good RS cars but the difference between the Audi and Porsche performance cars wasnt much.So most people were opting to buy the cheaper Audi than the porsche and lambo.

I'm with you on that @MrSimpluCA!! My S4 (previous generation) is only 333hp, but I can tell you.. it's fast! This just demonstrates the difference between HUGE channels and presenters and tiny/new channels like mine. Maybe one day I'll think my S4 is boring, but right now, like McDonald's.. I'm loving it 🤩

Just putting it out there I was the first person in the U.K to get a 034 motorsports tune on my S4 B9 from awesome GTI and I done it at home was so simple had the car done by D.M.S first but 034 tune was light years better no longer have that car in a W205 C43 now with an A.M.R tune in it
That S4 has vmax tune for the trans. Should have left it in S… 034 Motorsport is a solid tuner!
yeah gotta say 034 is absolutely mental when it comes to delivering what they claim. I saw software remaps from other tuners which people actually bought and the same stage 1 made like 60 hp less, drove worse and they regretted it. In Europe the only tuners i would recommend is 034, Darkside Developements, Broo Performance, GAD (if you are rich lol) and Klasen. APR is fine if reliability is important to you or you need it to be legal. But most other tuners like ABT, MTM ... damn i don't know what to say its not for me after i heard from people that they regretted it to not get it from someone else because there were so many horses left in the stable for a much higher price than the others i named.
@@DarkSession6208 in the us for the B9 platform S4, APR is not where the money’s at in terms of reliability and performance. Of course you’ll have biases but that’s what I’ve gathered before deciding on 034. I’ve reliably driven more than 1.5 years. Stage 1 93 octane for now. Haven’t heard of a few of the brands you e mentioned, I’ll look into it. MTM and ABT are the old tuners in the game that forgot to invest in R&D, for the most part.

The S4 depreciates faster than a rock goes to the bottom of the ocean, and tunes on cars that already have turbos are marvelously cost-effective. Lots of cars in that class are sexy buys if you're only looking for straight line speed.

That's actually fairly low bhp for a tuned audi
The generation before (B8.5) is even more accessible and only a fraction slower, but really tuneable - all in all a forced induction petrol S4 is good bang for the buck when tuned!
Depends on the setup, some other s4s on a Stage 3 I've seen 600bhp on pump and up to 730 on E85

Wow 72k with a tune lol i kept telling people the V6 Audi made that 3.0l engine is based on was perfection i still havent changed my timing chain in my 3.2l Now the B9s are nortorious for broke rocker arms but other than that great car
Not notorious, I’ve worked at the dealer for 5 years now and have yet to see one in person. They are known on 2017-2018 build date cars that are not well maintained but by no means notorious.
