How Protected Is The British Royal Family?
Whatever you need a website for, create yours today with Wix: www.wix.com/go/infographics
How much protection does the royal family actually receive? Is the queen always safe or should she be more protected?
It goes without saying that monarchs are heavily guarded and don’t take the risk of rubbing shoulders with the hoi polloi. You don’t hear about Queen Elizabeth popping down to the shops for a loaf of bread and a packet of Marlboro Lights. It’s not likely that these days the British public would get rankled enough to demand the Queen’s head, but there are likely a few anti-royal people out there. So, she has a security detail. In fact, in 2017 the Queen’s former security expressed concern that her present security system had changed. Scotland Yard had begun implementing a rotation system, and that meant the Queen would be seeing many different men around her. One of the guys responsible for looking after the late Princess Diana said, “Understanding the behaviors of the person you are charged with protecting is crucial. Understanding the machinations of the royal household is very important too.” But how much protection do those royals usually get?

Dart Not really. If you are entrusted with a nations secrets, and betray that trust then it could be considered treason.
My brother-in-law was a Danish Royal Life Guard (they are the Danish equivalent of the British Royal guards, even looking very similar). They most definitely have shoot to kill authority. They may look great to get pictures taken in front of, but get too close, or seemingly pose a threat, and you could be threatened with very lethal force.
The Infographics Show..., I Love it!
The primary source of protection for the British Royals, particularly The Queen, is because the monarch is effectively a figurehead, all government action is taken by her ministers in her name. Also, the Royals tend to share the attitude of the recent Popes, in that obvious heavy security defeats the purpose of keeping ones self open before the people. Instead, the principal Royals will be guarded discreetly in public by one or two Scotland Yard detectives from the Royalty and Diplomatic Protection Branch, with mostly local police keeping a watch on the crowd from the perimeters.

When I was deployed with the Royal Air Force we were visited by Prince Andrew. Wow, Brits pay that much? I think we all as Commonwealth citizens should pay too, _but_ the royals have to visit more often. Australians share the same royal family. We should help Britain alleviate that yearly tax. We should also get to actually see our royals.
I was studying Asian history at school and in the joseon dynasty, the royals have retainers/servants behind them Everytime they go out from their residences, it turns out if there was a shooter or a murderer the servants would form a circle around the royal protecting them

not anymore. now its a choice to join the military.
As if they would see any combat... cmon people. They would be stationed so far to the rear, that they would have to see the war on tv
@@asher6657 Except both Prince Andrew and Prince Harry both saw combat in the Falklands War and Afghanistan respectively. In the Falklands there was no 'rear' as the British had to fight from the sea with no land bases. In Afghanistan Prince Harry was regularly on patrol and called in airstrikes, until his presence was exposed by greedy media outlets. He was then removed, not only for his own safety but for the safety of the men and women who were serving with him. Prince Harry then went and trained to be an Apache pilot and went back to Afghanistan and saw combat again. So no, your comment that they were so far to the rear is false. You should check up on these things before posting in future. You should also know that Queen Elizabeth served in WW2 and was a mechanical engineer fixing all kinds of military vehicles. She refused to allow herself to be evacuated to Canada and stayed to face the same dangers as the rest of the British people.
@@jaffusmaximus Actually the heir to the throne has to do military service...they have no choice. Why? Because they will be Commander in Chief one day and need to know how the military works. Hence why Prince William has served in the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force, just like his father did, in order to understand each service. However any other children who are not directly heir to the throne do have a choice as to serve or not. Traditionally women didn't have to serve but with the changes to society that may well change in future. It is interesting to note that the Queen served in WW2 as a mechanical engineer, so she has done military service too.
