  • Sicherlich habt ihr Euch schon einmal gefragt, warum bei manchen Rallyeautos eine kleine Lufthutze auf dem Dach angebracht ist, eine sogenannte Roof Scoop. Diese Methode dient unter anderem zur Belüftung des Innenraums, aber das ist nicht der Hauptgrund, denn sonst hätte auch jeder Rennwagen, der bei Rundstreckenrennen eingesetzt wird, so eine Lufthutze auf dem Dach, damit der Fahrer, der einen Helm trägt, optimal mit Kühlluft und Sauerstoff versorgt wird. Der eigentliche Grund, weshalb Rallye-Fahrzeuge eine Roof-Scoop tragen ist der, dass der Luftdruck im Innenraum etwas erhöht wird, wodurch wesentlich weniger Staub und Sand von der Rallyestrecke in den Innenraum gelangen. Wenn man dan sieht, dass jedes zweite Auto die Seitenscheiben geöffnet hat, dann ist das kontraproduktiv!!!

  • Rather horrifying how so many of these drivers can't handle cars without ABS. Lockup after lockup after lockup. I think I saw one driver pump the brakes and almost save the slide, but then he locked 'em all up and lost it.
