This Was a miserable rainy day in February at Dever springs. There wasn't many fish in the gin clear margins but myself and my mate Paul both ended up with Monster rainbow trout which were our personal bests from Dever.
To be honest 140 quid for a session is far too expensive.. There are other fisheries out there with bigger fish for more than half the price Dever seems to be asking for. With those prices, the sad reality is, less folk will want to go anymore... Time to search for cheaper alternatives for the majority of anglers I reckon.. Come up to Scotland.. Insch, Kinross and ledyatt are our big fish water. Mega fish for 30 to 50 quid a pop 👍.. What a fish Martyn... I felt your lactic acid build up from here 😂 😊

Love Dever, my son caught a 24.8Ib there, a very special fish at a very special place however, £140 for a session makes it a treat rather than a regular place and that must ultimately affect the profits.

2 Fish over 17lbs is amazing but I agree the price of 140 a days is away above my price scale and just can't justify that sort of money for one day out for one person.
Was gonna say.. I had a very similar style scrap recently on my last video.. I dunno if it's because of how much cooler it is up here in the far north, or if there's something in the air that's making fish these scrap like buggery, but my last fish at 6lb 13oz took me 9 mins to get in.. That's unheard of... Normally I wrench them in around 5 mins... Must just be time of Yr

This is very sad £140 with no C&R, you could be home before breakfast. Perhaps they’re trying to make it a more elite fishery ? get rid of the Riff Raff ?
My feeling is they will close it as a fishery, I suppose we may get a idea at the end of march after a month of the new price increase
@@martynwilliams7229 It will be sad if it closes as i like watching your video's, great entertainment, on a personal note i do most of my fishing on the reservoirs as i prefer that sort of fly fishing so it doesn't really affect me.

Had the misfortune to go there in 2005. Saw fish everywhere. Caught an 18lb Rainbow on an epoxy buzzer. No satisfaction whatsoever…ugliest looking fish I ever caught. Small stocked ponds not for me……but each to their own.
that first 'bow in the video is far too fat for a trout, they should'nt be deep like carp, ridiculous looking trout
Me and 3 friends fish there twice a year as it was slightly pricey 6-7 years ago I always catch there beautiful fishery Well kept and some stunning fish I believe they should up there standard stocking size to a minimum of 6lb And stock more doubles The usual case at dever for us would be a bag of 4n half lb fish If your upping the price stock bigger fish
