This was the first day of the season at Testwood trout fishery. I had arranged to meet my good friend Richard Francis at 7:30am for a few hours stalking and what a brilliant few hours we had. Richard started with his favourite black and gold heavy stalking bug and I started with my favourite copper and orange bug. The sport was unbelievable and within 2 hours we managed to bag 10 double figure trout's between us. There was one occasion when I had 4 giant rainbows chasing my copper bug at the same time ! brilliant !
Out of curiosity, you do catch allot of massive fish fairly often. What do you do with all of them. You must have a massive chest freezer lol do I Give them away, sell, smoke or do you eat fish for breakfast dinner n tea lol
I’m also very interested to know? 😅😂
Best thing about this venue is a chance to fish the river...BIG ONES are nice but a good Brown or a Grayling from the river is more satisfying.
Its now 210 for 3 fish then C&R is away out my price scale, I love my fishing and would love to catch some of these bad boys, but I would rather it was all C&R as I don't eat trout and there is no way I could justify paying a weeks wages for one days fishing, I love my fishing and watching your videos and hope you can keep making them for a while longer. Tight lines
Hi Martyn, yes I'm after some more copper and orange. Think they have already sold out - let us know when you have tied up some more! Great video as ever
Morning mate, They are now finished and I will be listing a new batch on my website www.martynwilliamsflies.co.uk tomorrow morning. Regards Martyn
@@martynwilliams7229 great thanks Martyn
Hello mate, I've just listed the copper and orange on my website www.martynwilliamsflies.co.uk now.
smashing video and great fish, what do you call the item you clip your dead fish too?
You can get them from your tackle shop and they have a plastic handle and they are called Gardener Trout Pegs. If you want a deluxe one made from deer horn, contact our mate Neil Perry, he makes them.
So what are the tails made from on the 'copper & orange' bugs...
Hi Martyn Another great video with some big lumps coming out. What was the make of your landing net that you were using? Keep the videos coming. Brilliant. Bob👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
Hello Bob, It's an old 30 year old Bob Church Loki ,the company doesn't exist anymore.
@@martynwilliams7229 Thanks for that Martyn. I used to have a Bob Church x- weave fly rod, that must have been 30 odd years ago. Bob.
Any of these copper and orange getting tied up and put on the web site for sale?
By Saturday mate
Millionaires fishery that 190 quid for 4 fish. Wow. If only.
Shame about the camera work.
Got a new camera my fishy friend
@@martynwilliams7229 Won't make any difference unless you hold it steady! Seriously though, I enjoy watching trout fishing videos because I learn so much, but it's hard to watch if the camera is waving around like this. Have a fishy Christmas 🎄
It's on a new chest mounted fitting now, no head shaking
Check out video number 73, people said it was much better.
@@martynwilliams7229yes that should help. Will check out new videos. Now, about the singing….😂
