There is so much to love about the service history, versatility and durability of the Bradley, this kit was always going to be an exciting release…. It’s a long video today but stick with me because there are some absolute gems of information along the way. This really is a must for anyone wanting to build this kit, or for anyone interested in the Bradley. You won’t be disappointed.
Magic Factory is a company that is relatively new to the market but is making quite an impression with its varied range of subjects.
At present Magic Factory have produced two versions of the Bradley. The M2A4 variant and the Ukrainian M2A2 Bradly ODS which is the kit I have been fortunate enough to take a look at today.
I've enlisted the help of Sam Dwyer to help talk me through some of the finer details specific to the Ukranian M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley

  • I was a dismount and gunner on a M2A2 and M2A2ODS. Absolutely loved being on them. A coiple little tidbits. The decj screen next to the driver and under the main guns aalways had spent 7.62 rounds. And it always has a oily grease stain from the front back..crewman and mechanics always put things on there. It was a nice flat area. All the little bolts across the upper hull had paint chips and the steel of the bolts were really visible. One thing no Bradley kit gets right is the side armor along the lower hull? It's 2 plates bolted together with about a hands width gap between the plates. If you. Put any of the side skirts up, you take it off then turn it upside down and bolt back into place. The biggest area for chipping it the rear main door. The smaller door almost never gets open. The ramp can get pretty abused by soldiers and equipment. Definitely the interior edge hope that helps.

  • A brilliant review and build video on the Bradley Clayton! I would love to attack a modern AFV in the future (I am still stuck in WW2), but I fear the complexity of a model like this, with such a large and detailed parts count is beyond my skills, and my ageing shaky hands and failing eyesight. I am looking forward to the Bradley’s next outing when the this great looking vehicle gets the paint job and the final weathering it deserves. Cheers for now mate!

  • Great build and great presentation Clayton. Little tip for you, if you are cutting small tube with a blade, hold the blade firmly against the tube and roll the tube back and forth. The blade will slowly cut through the tube without flattening or deforming the ends of the tube.

  • Good video and build. Personally don’t like the Bradley armor fighting vehicle but the build was good. Hope that your friend (and guest) didn’t watch the movie “the pentagon wars” which is a comedy film that puts the development of the Bradley in front and center. Although it does exaggerate the flaws of the vehicle, after operations such as desert storm and Iraqi freedom, any doubts of the Bradley serving in combat we’re put to rest

  • You said superglue was used to fit the rubber wheels to the hubs because plastic cement would melt the hub but wouldn’t plastic cement also just not bond rubber because it’s not plastic?

    @DefaultProphet@DefaultProphet29 күн бұрын
    • Hey there. Sorry that was unclear. When I say rubber parts I was talking about the pieces of plastic that represented the rubber parts on the actual vehicle. The way modelling cement works is it ‘melts’ the plastic at the connection points and essentially fuses them together. Because I’d pre-painted the parts I didn’t want to use it because it can make a mess of the paint due to that ‘melting’ process. Superglue doesn’t melt the plastic and uses a different mechanism to bond the parts…hence it won’t damage the paint. Hope that makes sense. Appreciate the question 🙏🍺
