How I got ready for 30 min fights in Japan
If you commit and do what I say on this, this is extremely hard and really great for stamina.
Once you see this concept, you can do this with your own combinations. The thinking behind everything is pretty important, so don't skip to the combo since everything has a reason.
When I "load up" or "telegraph" it is all done on purpose

  • Bas! I need to share this: About 10 years ago I fought professionally in kickboxing for the first time. I lost, it was horrible for me, I could do all the ninja double spin, flipping jump kicks, I was super fast and powerful, but my opponent just threw a simple jab the whole time, then a 1 - 2. I never gave up, and it went to dissension, but I was a bloody mess and lost embarrassingly. 6 months later my best friend brought over some DVD's...Yes, THE Bas Rutten fighting dvd's!!! I literally was mesmerized by your knowledge and teaching skills, I stayed up for 2 days, watching them over and over. I started training with a guy that fought in the K1's in Vegas, He was a Beast. 6' 2", 215 pounds of shredded muscle, his skill set was very high. I'm only 5' 9" and 170 lbs for context. He kicked the shit outta me for the first few weeks, but training with him coupled with your DVD's I was able to hang with him and give it back, after 3 months of intense training he did not like sparring with me anymore. I knew at that point I was ready for a real fight. Got it set up, and I knocked the guy out in 39 seconds of the first round! Bas, I can't thank you enough!!!!!

    • Bas is the go to guy for stamina no doubt BUT …. Listen the other guy jabbed you to win. That is a real lesson in skill . It is not how much u do but how good y r at what you do . A jab can beat 101 other things . You want to study fighting try to build a technique like that of Mayweather … do the minimum to win and NIP your opponents strengths … he did not even let the great Pac-Man throw too many punches . Something to think about

  • good old Bas Rutten, ive been using your original boxing kickboxing mma and all round work out cd's for around 15 years, during that time I have run my own mma gym, and trained many local and national amateur cage fighting champions. and been exposed to alot of different training methodologies. over the years Ive cut the cd's up and remixed them many times creating combos i want to work on. Im older now and dont train that often or that hard, but when I do i still put on a Bass Rutten shadowboxing mp3 and move around. maybe ill do another edit with these combos, nothing else brings the energy like having your voice push the pace. Thanks Bas your a legend.

  • I don't remember where I heard you explain the 15 one minute rounds and take away 5 seconds rest every week a few years ago: I use this with a kid that I was mentoring in wrestling when his coach quit. In ten weeks he went from kind of tired after one match to running laps after the tournament. I love this method because I was able to ramp this young guy so fast and he never complained once putting in the hardest wrestling I've ever seen in a fifteen-year-old. Holistically it's so straightforward. It's so easy to tell when an athlete is overtraining needing a day off. It's easy to train around injuries. Thank you so much for

However as good as they look on the movie screen they haven’t ever been tested in real combat. While the real deal like Bas Rutten has multiple clips of blasting fighters with liver palm heal punches that flatten them. Love those high kicks to the head or those Charlie horse kicks to the legs that slices them down like warm butter. That’s a real fighter who’s been tested.

🙏🥊 groetjes

  • I wonder if Will Smith would have even attempted to slap Chris Rock if Mr Rutten had been standing next to him that night. Probably a very different outcome that night. I would like to see a do over with that situation. Just my thoughts. Always enjoy the knowledge you share with us Bas!!! Aka Baddest Man on the planet.

    • thank you, Will wouldn't have done that, I met him a few times at the gym actually. This is when pressure gets to a boiling point and then, when a drop makes the bucket overflow, there is no break. Horrible what happened, but I am sure he believes that himself as well.
