Excellent travail Monsieur , un grand salut de casablanca " MOROCCO "
Really like this simple but effective build. Thanks for showing it.
wow, the video gave me some new tips ( i just started to learn mig welding) thank you
HOLY NUTS I lost track of how large the gantry was, during the first part of the video. Being able to lift a lathe like that is really cool. As a carpenter, ive had to help friends move huge jointers and planers; moving huge machinery like that really sucks, and with your gantry you make it look super easy
Great job, you have good fabricating and welding skills
LIke your style, overbuild it, and never have to worry, very good. You and that guy from Fireball Tools build everything to last.
Thank you, appreciated!!
Dude you're a mad scientists, awesome work!!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👊🏿
Thank you for commenting, appreciated!!!
That must come in very handy. I sometimes work alone and I need something like this. I need to make the time and use my powerarc to make one soon.
Hello Lucaas Robinson, is a lot of work but will be very helpful !!!
Amazing work! What kind of cross slide vise clamp are you using?
MARAVILHOSO EU ESTAVA PROCURANDO E VOCÊ ME DEU A LUZ DETALHADA GRATO
Estupendo trabajo, que medidas y calibres son los perfiles, las ruedas y capacidad de carga, gracias por compartir exitos
Dayuhm! You got some clean welds
Cool work sir 👍👏
Enjoyed watching your fab skills...especially your band saw...tell us what brand and any mods...? What coolant were you using?
Overall, this is a highly informative and enjoyable video for anyone interested in engineering. It showcases your talent and expertise while providing valuable insights and inspiration to fellow enthusiasts. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to watching more of your content in the future 👍👍👍
Really nice welding. I read one of the comments on placing the cross beam as a butt joint laying on top of the vertical supports. That could be welded directly or welded plates on the vertical members and bolted into place. That would make for a far smaller disassembled crane for shipping, etc.. plus no shear pressure on the welds and it seems like it would take less time to fabricate. Your crane gets five stars (out of five) from me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Thanku jim ford for commenting , really appreciated

The gantry: a safe way to hoist heavy duty!
Genius, well done 👍
Thank you !!
really fantastic job - would be interesting to see what this will be rated at - cheers from Australia - I've subscribed.
Thank you :)
As the supported weight tends to spread the feet, maybe it would be wise to add gussets in the top corners? just a suggestion, in case….
that's awesome! I need to learn to weld
Bon travail magnifique merci pour la vidéo
Merci beaucoup Mostefaoui Fodhil
That right there is why we all learned how to weld.
Your skill and your saw machine is good thanks
Thank you !!!
Cool work 👏👍
thank you
Wow great work what a beauty.
You are a tru badass…not many have your skills!
I would put some angled bracing in the corners where the upwrights meet the cross beam for not only added capacity but strength aswell by the looks of what he was lifting i would give it a cosevative 1 ton rating as is nice job
That saw is very impressive with how straight it cuts
thank you for commenting !!
I want one.
AMIGO BOA NOITE SOU ESCRITO POR FAVOR USOU QUAL METALAO 60X60 X 1/8 OU FICOU TOP.
I want to make one of these. And what is the name / model of bandsaw you are using? I have one but this stand-up unit is nice.
Felicitaciones por su trabajo muy bien echo saludos
Thank you for commenitng :)
Hey man I appreciate the effort the video
Hello Anthony,thanks for commenting ! :)
Excellent travail
Dear Master! Thanks for your help
Nice work
Excellent idea and good job
Thank you!!
helacious nice job.
Fantástico. Qual o dimensionamento do material utilizado?
NICE!👍👍👍 The only bad part is the six bolts which clamp the horizontal joist to the vertical legs are super stressed. Weld a plate to the vertical leg so that the joist sits on a platform.
Thank you for commenting
very nice build
Endlich mal jemand der schweissen kann, respekt !!!
Danke Hans - Dirk Kumpfert
Thanks for sharing
Great gantry crane I like to have one like that.
Thanku chris schoendorf
Dear sir ,could you give some specification about the chain block that you just used ..we are in need ..thank you
What box size box tubing is used and at what wall thickness??? This only looks like 1/8" thick.
Please, does the trolley have 3 wheels? How is the hook attached to it?
Capacidad de carga?
Where can i buy a Saw like that? thanks for sharing.
nice job
지금 꼭 필요한 아이템👍
Good work and made it so simple & I am confident that I can also build one. Thanks for the video. Saw cutting is good which make it is and cost. Plz let me know. *****
Thanks for commenting, the saw is bemato cost arround 2500euro
Massive build! I would be concered tha the 6 bolts at each end of the gantry is all that would keep the load from causing the bolts to shear and the load crashing to the ground. I would have put the horizontal beam on top of the vertial supports so that gravity supports the load. That might happen if you have to lift a jumbo jet. 😆 It sure beats the HF gantry crane!

I have watched several Gantry cranes but am especially impressed with this particular crane. How can I get a step by step how to with dimensions. Thank you.
Hey Tony, watch my mark comments. Thank you
Nicely done
Thank you !!
U wellcome sir
Когда всё необходимое под рукой такие самоделки - ДА, ЛЕГКО!
спасибо за комментарий
As someone working out of a garage shop without a band saw, cutting a pice of steel as thick as that is INCONCEIVABLE. Very cool
...have steel yard cut it for you then.
நல்ல தகவல்🇮🇳🌷 good work
Did you weld a piece of angle iron on and bellow the top beam?
Yes, thanks for commenting
Liked your cutting saw. Can you please share the details of it?? Preferably the website link of it
Perfect
Nice Engineering man
Mình thích nhất chiếc cưa cắt thép của bạn 👍
DIY it is oke, but safety design and work it is first, design must be using interlock techniq for heavy lifting machine also the gravity centre must be fixed when you try to moving the machine (that crane) and loading. happy DIY and enjoy the job.
Thank u !!
Adorei essa talha ..
How many tons can it lift?
"Dancing with a lathe". There isn't any locking mechanism for the traverse, no? So the crane must be perfectly level when you lift or you'll be in trouble, right?
Bel ATREZZO BRAVO 👍👍👍👍 👏👏👏👏
Very nice video, what type of band saw is that?
It`s bemato bandsaw am very happy with it,thank you for commenting
I'd take those basic bolts out and put grade 8 bolts in there or AN hardware those will shear off in the near future, especially if you are lifting a lathe and other heavy objects like that, and to save you money id use acetone as paint thinner its friendly with any and most oil base paints, I've been doing this business before youtube ever came out, I just don't care much for publicity
Nice
Overall good design, but I think you took the strength you built into the frame out of the equation when you bolted the crossmember to the posts... good work though!
Como se llama tu máquina la primera con la que cortar los ptrs
great job! can you tell me what is name and model of you're lathe? I have the same lathe but I assume mine is cloned because its made in soviet Ukraine
thank you , mine is build 1972 by russia, click on the link below , kzhead.info/sun/ZJighKivmnSdeGw/bejne.html&ab_channel=%D0%A1%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%9F%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%81%D1%81%D0%90%D0%BB%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%8B
Can I ask what is that water mix with something or oil when cutting with the bandsaw?
Its oil especially for cutting milling , can be used for lathes drill milling machines and band saw , its called metal working fluids easy to find thank u for commenting
wena me gusto mucho bien echo y seguro
Hi buddy! It is nice job. I readed that tubes are 100x100x3 and 50x50x3mm. I can't find what the width, height and load capacity are. I will build one for my boat service. Thank you for answer, Tomáš.
Hello Tomáš , its 250 - 60 m to fit on my container and height 3m but for ur needs maybe u should make it stronger make a researcher before start thanku for commenting
Is top rail stronger than I-Beam? I have to build one, just wondering...
Hello I Am, what size i beam ? The i beam will be stronger but also much heavier
@@cutweld7034 Thank you very much. I like your idea.
@@repentfulsinner Thank you :)

Could I purchase the plans for your Gantry crane with dimensions, thanks
what is thickness of the square tube steel ?
Exelente desde panama saludos
impressive skill
thank you !!!
Грамотна лаик ,👍👍👍👍
Great job 🇲🇰👍.What is power in ampers your mig welder?
Hello thanku, 200amp (single phase ) but kemmpi is one of top brand on the market, there is chines machines 300amp but is not to be trust thanku for commenting
@@cutweld7034 Yes 😄 Chinese 300 amps single phase madness that is not normal.I have use ,,cebora'' and ,,Cea'' from Italy with power 380volts great performance ,but now l am in other industry
Dude, INSANE! I'm from India, i need to build a crane like this for installing Strongroom door (Vault Door). Can you please give the design of this crane? Like thickness of the tubes and height etc. Would be very helpful, Thank you! :)
Hello friend, the tubes are all 3 mm thickness and the plates 12mm you can build it for the dimensions you need, but not overcome 300-340 cm height and 250-260cm wide(for safety) thank you for commenting,
@@cutweld7034 Thank you!
Superb
Thank you !!
@@cutweld7034 Can I get the measurements please, I need to built one just to lift like. 3/4 ton. Thanks
Cuántos kilos soporta la estructura?
Здравствуйте подскажите пожалуйста размеры вашего крана и размеры материалов

Hey can you do a hydraulic car jack A simple one 😀
Agradezco tu proyecto lo fabrique a tu diceño pero me a criticado que la fuerza la hacen los tornillos que preferiblemente las placas las la hubiera huvicado en la parte superior y no a un lado como las del diceño gracias por compartir tus proyectos
Why didn't you use the bridge triangle support for the gantry?
Hello, for my needs its okay without any support ,thanks
Dude where did you get those wheels? I want to build on that will lift 6000 lbs! Thanks bud!!
hi @LTDan-pk3mx and thnks for commenting, at local diy shop they are really strong and heavy duty wheels but expensive too
How much did those casters cost you please?
70 euro each, are expensive because are up to 500 kg each Thanks for commenting
You seem to have some type of handle on each post. What are they for?
they are just handles for grip ,when i moving the crane
Why you did not use a standart I-beam ? As i see it, i beam is lighter and stronger
I beam was an option too,but the tubing is used are strong enough and more beautiful thanks for commenting
@@cutweld7034 I beam would have saved a lot of work. You would have then been able to use a "monkey" to attach the chain block, that would have saved more work.
