Something I would recommend to add in the future is 1. Where to stop backing up when loading a vehicle 2. When to start tilting your bed, whether it be loading or unloading. Thanks for the rest though it's given me slot of confidence.

great video...always enjoy watching everyone's different ways of doing things...as well as learning the different regulations from state to state. Great point about always putting keys in your pocket...dont do like I did the other day and lay them on the bed to answer a call from dispatch and forget them...that was an expensive learning experience lol I do have one question though...and it may only be a matter of personal preference, but is there a reason behind putting your bridle so far forward and winching up all that line when not in use...I always hook mine to the tie down points at the rear of my bed and pull my cable tight, then let just a slight bit of slack in it...been doing it that way for years. Stay safe brother and keep up the good work

A true professional at work. The guy who collected my 3 month old car when it had a puncture wasn’t. Reversed it straight off at normal speed, with a flat tyre. It collected one of his straps underneath and as it drove off the bottom and the buckle ripped through the bumper dislodging it. Now stating he didn’t cause the damage! On another note the cops sound pretty ruthless round your area.

I will get more training from the company but its nice to go there knowing this stuff ahead of time and to be organized like you.
Absolutely amazing!!! I ve been driving a fuel tanker for 30 years, tomorrow I start training to be a two truck driver. I like and appreciate your style! Neat and clean! Thank you very much!
My friend thank you for watching my video if you want one good piece of advice for me is take your time and keep your head on a swivel

Taking my commercial experience to the next level, I just took a job with a local agency ( no names ). Your step by step was awesomely done. Thanks for your time and the step by step.
Thank you fellow Missourian, thanks to you I won’t look too clueless on my first day. Edit: I’m not completely green to towing but I’ve never run a rollback, so getting to see a step by step with lil tips is very helpful
I watched it in full, you’re an awesome instructor ever. 😊 Thank you for taking the time to show us how is it made😂😂👍👍👍
As someone going from wreckers into learning on deck trucks, really appreciate the video!!
I haven't done this for a few years so I appreciate you taking time out of your day to make and post this video. It was a great refresher course. Peace.

You are more than welcome please do me a favor Keep Your Head on a swivel to keep watch on these idiot drivers out here
I appretiate the video, I’m new to trucking and most jobs you get seem to be learn as you go and most guys don’t want to teach you lol. Thanks!
I've I've never fully understood why companies would put drivers in the truck and not knowing really what they're doing that leaves too much room for somebody to get hurt
I completely agree, sadly it’s like that in my area. My second day doing towing and I was on my own lol
You just earned one new subscriber here . I'm saving up for my tow truck this year and gonna be going back this video in the mean time 👌 Thanks for the informative video !
I work in a junk yard we work different Thank you for the lesson 👍👍👍😊 awesome video
Great video! Simple and to the point.
This is very educational for me as a rookie, for you not using curse words at all in all the video yet you conveyed the intended message; you are a true professional. thanks
Thank you my friend I appreciate you watching my videos
Thanks for the useful information I am using in my towing business
good job and i learned a couple things that i will now use when i am working my truck......
Awesome video I love learning from old dogs like you! I climb cell towers now, The older guys knowledge is priceless. Made me real good at what I do. thinking about doing some towing. knocking down the climbing hours, Getting rough on the body. You look like a tough horse! Stay safe out there brother.🤙🤙 You have a gift that most people dont...common sense! Say hi if you're ever near Chicago.
My friend I appreciate you thank you be safe
Thanks for the high quality content im gonna tryn start a tow truck service
Thank you for teaching me that simple hook on and strap down that is helping me a lot because I am doing my own towing called TRT T-Rex towing
I'm glad I could help you please be safe
Dude killer video! Thanks buddy I learned a lot.
I have an interview tomorrow to drive for a recovery company. I've never drove a rollback before. Closest experience I have is a box truck. This was very informational and gave me alot of insight. Something I would recommend to add in the future is 1. Where to stop backing up when loading a vehicle 2. When to start tilting your bed, whether it be loading or unloading. Thanks for the rest though it's given me slot of confidence.
thank you my friend

Thank you for this video I am just starting to do time and the guy who has been training me has called me everything you have in the video all truck is slightly different but practically the same I did not know that you could put the PTO brake on to let the chain move down when you had the bed come with a chain stay down fighter surprise my boss with that one thank you for this video you are a great teacher

This is awesome nephew his friend and and I went in on a 78 c68 flat bed tow truck yesterday trying to start a salvage yard/ towing/ lawn service just so we can help some of the youth stay out of trouble
That sounds like a good plan I think if more people would step up the world would be a better place
This is a great video. For added safety and security I keep my tools in the side compartments and on the passenger side because I do alot of freeway work. Makes me feel like a human bowling pin. Then when I go to lunch they are already locked in their compartments
I tell everybody that I've ever trained when you start working your own truck to set it up how you want it cuz everybody sets the others up differently to make it more efficient for them
Thank you for the awesome video. I just bought a rollback yesterday to ring in the new year. 2021 will either be a blessing or a train wreck. 😂
How is it coming along for you?
@@mklockley I just got all of my paperwork finished and DOT inspection passed last Friday. My truck hasn’t stopped moving since Saturday last week.
@@adamwrightTheCarGuy God bless you brother god willing I will be in the game soon too. Stay safe
@@adamwrightTheCarGuy what type of roll back are you running?
@@mklockley I’ve got an old school Ford with a 7.3 idi and a 17.5 foot jerrdan bed with 12,500 lbs winch and a wheel lift. I have to pass on the four door trucks but I stay busy with cars, small trucks and small SUVs. One of the oldest tow companies in town throws me stuff he can’t get too because he likes me I guess. only thing he wanted in return is to take care of his customers like they were my own. I’m thankful and grateful for the work.
Awesome and very informative. Thank you bruh. Cant wait to start towing. God bless

Don't losen the the winch. Straps can break and theres always a possible someome could rear end you at high speed.
It could happen

I'm am interested in towing business. I been thinking about becoming a tow truck driver I'm am completely on my own so videos like this help me to understand what I'm getting my self into i plan to buy my own truck And then start my own business . Thank you again
I really enjoy driving a tow truck you can make pretty decent money at it just a lot of hours and a lot of hours away from your home but the biggest thing out there is be safe watch your back Keep Your Head on a swivel and know when to walk away
@@donaldchastain6847 Thank you sir
Thanks I learn a lot from you
That answers my question. I heard many people say you can't tow a car with automatic that won't start. But obviously you can for the 20 feet or so it takes to get it up on a deck.
Большое спасибо. Thank you .Good job. Russian guy . Good luck!!!
I always wondered how to do this, but I'm sure there are days that throw you off, or maybe not...yea I dig this video, I'll look for more like this because I would like to do this...thanks for the vid

Thank you sir 🙏 great video
Good video, the instructional side of it is very good indeed, very clear and very concise. Some feedback and pointers: Try and keep the camera a little more steady, it was all over the place. If you make an error in filming, try and start again from the point of error, it will then look a lot slicker. Otherwise, it was a great video and very useful! Thank you.
Thank you my friend I appreciate that but you know that old saying Good Help is hard to find
Nice job. I've been towing for 20 years and I do just like you did, except my company wants us to use tie down chains on the rear. See ya in the ditch!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it thank you for your support
Great video very detailed.

Thanks man you made that look easy
My 4point tie down has a 8 point lock down to the bed. So I never have to put them away. Saves time. Also I never put it in park because some of these newer cars have a weak parking pin. Nice video though
Thank you my friend I appreciate you watching my videos
Thanks for video I just got my first towing job I have used a pto abd flat bed truck before but never as a job so wanted to see how a pro does it they know I never worked as a driver before abd told them i dont know anything so I can learn as much as possible
Glad I could help BE SAFE
great video...always enjoy watching everyone's different ways of doing things...as well as learning the different regulations from state to state. Stay safe brother and keep up the good work
Thank you my friend I appreciate you watching my videos
A true professional at work. The guy who collected my 3 month old car when it had a puncture wasn’t. Reversed it straight off at normal speed, with a flat tyre. It collected one of his straps underneath and as it drove off the bottom and the buckle ripped through the bumper dislodging it. Now stating he didn’t cause the damage! On another note the cops sound pretty ruthless round your area.
Some people do not need to be driving a tow truck as far as the cops go they are looking to make money like everybody else is
Hey man love the videos I’m from leesummit mo not far from u and hoping to start towing soon
Amazing job bro
Very awesome video and you did a great job as far as I am concerned and I even picked up a couple tips .. Thanks .. Now onto your next video .. (Y)

Would you say the long J hooks are obsolete ???
I still use big J Hooks every once in awhile when I'm pulling cars out of deep ditches or in the snow but most of the times I just use my small hooks
