HOW TO: Making My Zenvo TSR-S Carbon Fibre Wheels! | ROAD TO ZENVO Part 4
My Zenvo TSR-S is in production, and first up we're checking out the super light carbon fibre wheels! I've opted for the lightest wheel option on the hypercar, and it's amazing to be able to get involved behind the scenes at the Zenvo HQ in Denmark, to see how they are made.
During the Road to Zenvo series, we're following my TSR-S hypercar all the way through the motions from the initial specification to producing various components and ultimately the delivery. For such a brutal and aggressive machine, my choices for the colours are certainly wild, and one area that stands out of interest is when it comes to the wheels and just how light Zenvo's carbon wheel technology is.
With a 21" wheel up front and a 22" wheel at the back, there are a few options to choose between, where even the standard wheels are light to begin with. Head to the carbon choices with either a chopped or 4x4 weave finish, and you start to save some serious unsprung mass. In fact the front wheel weighs in at just 6.9kg and the rear at only 7.75kg - extraordinary numbers for such large wheels, and making the total set only 29.3kg.
With the car now in build, the next update means we should be able to return and see it being painted!
Thanks for watching, Tim

I love the fact that Zenvo are so open about everything. Showing how the item is made and with what materials, most other car companies would hide all of that. Also like how the lads in there don’t mind talking to you even when they are concentrating. I’ve been to a few factories and nobody seems willing to talk
I would say being so open about it, is a thing of small companies, that are not corporations, nor are part of one. You can see the same with Koenigsegg they're also open about almost everything they do.
They need to do that after the damage the top gear episode had on the company
@@amsrocks That's has nothing to do with it, besides lots of small manufacturers like Zenvo, Koenigsegg etc will/might have tough beginnings. They actually repaired some of their image with TSR-S due to its famous wing, they got a lot of attention thanks to it. I don't think they will ever be near Koenigsegg, but they might get some small "piece of cake" for themselves.
@@gladdy6412 fair but that has done enough damage that it has not grown at same rate as the other smaller brands u mentioned
@@amsrocks you never know. Tesla got a lot of slack from top gear too, and look where it is now...
Kudos to Zenvo - seems to have a great culture. All the team members in the video are genuine, welcoming and emit a sense of passion that will take the company far. Congrats Shmee! I can imagine the Zenvo team must be a pleasure to work with as you build out your TSR-S.
Love what your doing Tim! So excited for the Zenvo! Thanks for sharing such a unique experience with us. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! A lot more to come
@@Shmee150 should have got the T33
*you're
I love these videos sharing the behind the scenes look in the factory. It's amazing how much goes into the manufacturing of a car. So cool to see how it works in a boutique manufacturer like this! Fascinating!
It's so awesome that you're being shown how the wheel is made and even able to film it and of cause to sign it. And it could be the ultimate shmeemobile if you signed more panels ;)
As a dane, i really love watching this and especially love hearing you pronounce the danish words! Really looking forward to more!
Congrats Tim, good to see the guys qt zenvo seem to share ur work ethic!
Love watching what they do, it's amazing to see the car coming to life and being able to share it too
@@Shmee150 absolutely when we went to maranello our phones were taken, mtc was gonna be the same thing but then covid cancel our trip to spec the elva at the factory
The manufacturing of the car is quite impresive, they people at Zenvo realy devote their efforts into creating a special car. Congratulations for being their client, and getting such a rare vehicle. I am looking forward to more updates from the journey to completion of your car.
Honestly the best part of this process is Tims little giggles i love the fact that Zenvo are so happy to let you show us such an im depth view of how this is all done. These high end car manufacturers are so awsome
Shmee150 Absolutely Incredible Video I'm glad you got your Zenvo TSR-S is coming along well and I think the 4x4 Carbon fiber wheel built Process is Absolutely Incredible and I think it so awesome that you got a chance to lay a Piece of 4x4 Carbon fiber on one of the Front Wheels and I can't wait to see the next update
I can't wait for this beast Tim! I respect you for purchasing a vehicle that's not that well known and something that is different to normal cars in the supercar segment. All the best and enjoy ownership of the TSR-S.
That's one of the excitements of this for me, learning about something we don't know much about
@@Shmee150Tim your a guy who gives other vehicle manufacturers a chance and doesn't go for the "Normal" popular car brands. I like that about you, respect.
@@abbielindley123 He's basically a brand ambassador.
Fantastic processes and amazing access Zenvo have given you. The car will be all the more special because of this 👍
Super clean state of the art manufacturing, thanks for sharing...
It's amazing you get to meet everybody who is building you car by hand, and to be allowed to show you the details of the production on camera. It shows that the price tag for the car is not a fantasy value for a well marketed hp number, but for an incredible amount of work done by highly skilled people with the finest of materials.
signing a layer of carbon for ur wheel, a lovely touch from Zenvo. so many parts made already, damn exciting stuff Tim.
Wow! Keep making more of these, totally fascinating to watch!
Really enjoying the Road to Zenvo series so far. I know how strong carbon fibre is, but the fact that it’s not brittle when used in a wheel really amazes me. The load bearing strength I can visualise, but when you see how easily the spare edge material chips, I just expect it to shatter under torsional loads. It obviously doesn’t, but I still find it mind blowing.
This is awesome. The behind the scenes is so cool. Thanks Tim!!!!
Somehow the coolest video you have ever produced, in my opinion. So many things are just perfect for me. Danish car, my favourite color, the details of the process, it's just amazing
Thank you Tim for taking us viewers to places. Very interesting to see, definitely helps to educate us all and maybe even inspire some people to set goals to get a job in some of these manufactories and car business in the future.
What a fascinating process! Thanks for bringing us along!
Really exciting to see the carbon fiber process and the unfinished parts!
the whole carbon process is amazing to see
Really enjoying these Tim! What a great experience being in the factory!!
The TSR-S is such an amazing and unique car, very much looking forward to seeing yours when it’s finished. The spec may not be for everyone but there’s no arguing it will be an incredible and special car by any measure.
Thank u Tim for showing the journey of how a supercar is born 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I am so happy to watch a not so known brand, doing such a good work and giving you the time to film at the factory. I’m a Dane my selve and we are training the kids to solve work as a unit where they use the independent skill of each in the group. That’s why they are so good to be helpful to Tim B
Great insight on how Zenvo create magic. Cannot wait to see more of these road to Zenvo videos.
what an incredible experience to be with the guys manufacturing your hypercar. Zenvo really going above and beyond there! I know you've done road to with many other cars but this is the next level
Great buy and series Shmee. The best for you and Zenvo in the future
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Admittedly, I don't want each video in its entirety, but this kept me intrigued. Can't wait to see the finished product!
Wow that was so so cool to sign one of those carbon fibre sheets well now it's impossible to even think of giving the car away ever 👌👌♥️
This is so fascinating to see! And being able to sign your wheel is ridiculously cool!
This is like an Watching a Documentary, and to actually Explore the Manufacturing process, is such a Blessing. Looking forward to it's Final stage💪
Love seeing the actual production even more so than the finished car.
I always wondered giw they make hollow carbon wheels. Thank you Tim for showing me!
Wow that’s some clinical set up there. Great video Tim
Very excited for this car! Such a great car! Thank you for sharing this experience with us!! Congratulations on the zenvo!
You and me both!

That was so amzing tim luv seeing the process thanks
That car looks insane Zenvo aren't playing games 🔥
This series has easily made me a Zenvo fan, and I was not one before this.
Wow. So cool. I love how much you show us on the building of the car
So exiting to see your first hyper car take its shape!
Great content Tim. Absolutely fascinating to see
We are learning about this very special car step by step. Very cool.
Zenvo deserves more attention, they've learned from their previous mistake and evolved through the years and now we had the TSR-S
Eagerly awaiting the finished product. I think the colors you chose are going to look amazing, Tim. I would've gone with the satin black carbon on the roof and bonnet, but the purple tinted carbon is going to be a striking feature, I think.
Love this behind the scenes exclusive content 😉
Awesome Video, nice to see all the detail of your car and such a rare opportunity to even play such a small part in doing the carbon wheel. Keep these coming.
I'm really, really excitied for everything that's in the works
This was one of the coolest uploads yet!
Wow, absolutely amazing
Love seeing how the sausage is made. Great stuff!
Very Very interesting and highly informative! Looking forward to this beauty in your collection
Thats one reason I like these small car companies. You get to get so involved in the process.

Beautiful Carbon Fibre!
Very excited for this build. Maybe a long shot, but I'd love to see the TSR-S do some Stateside appearances like when the GT toured around out here in LA for a bit. Congrats on this one, Tim!
Beautiful facility!

I love this. Wow, Tim.

I love the white zevo it is so amazingly cool I am sure Tims purple Zenvo will loook the part too
Absolute natural at putting those carbon fiber pieces on the wheel Tim…. Have to say it’s pretty BadAss to sign one of those for your wheel
excellent video leading the way
The Zenvo looks so bad ass!
Those forged wheels look insane
Obviously a factor in choosing the Zenvo, the access to the factory and literally watching your car being created. I can see why you'll always have a special connection with it, it's also an amazing advertisement for Zenvo. Can't wait to see it finally finished but enjoy every step on the way
For sure, this is a big part of it for me as I always said, this kind of connection is priceless!
Beautiful wheels!
