I was always scared of pitts until my sister rescued one who had been mistreated . She was the sweetest most gentle dog . Very friendly to everyone she met . They are definitely a misunderstood breed .

I just found this, went looking for Meaty on IG and found he passed a year ago. I am in tears at an amazing dog that just wanted to be loved and had such a vibrant personality. 💔💔💔 (my own rescue Staffie (not an American Staffie, an actual Staffie from here in UK) is getting on in years and it's hurting my heart) Meaty didn't even look that old. 😞💔

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier originated from the West Midlands (an area in England) and Pit Bulls are a sub breed, they are taller, broader, heavier, more muscular and have a bigger PSI bite. That being said they are both Terriers and are very similar but certainly not the same

My friend has a pit bull who was a bait dog. Half her face is missing and she has jaw exposed and stuff like that. My friend and her boyfriend treat her like she’s their own child. She also recently adopted another bait dog and she’s a tiny little bull terrier puppy with no front left leg and her shoulder is almost gone. Their names are Pretty Girl and Daffodil

Want to get bit trust a little dog. I have two toy poodles, and one Tibetan spaniel and two other small dogs. Four of five of them will bite a stranger in a heartbeat have had seven pitties not one of them ever even threatened anyone.

Pitbulls are DANGEROUS! - Here is why. Getting hit by their wagging tail can hurt, while playing with them if they run into you with their head it hurts, they will suffocate you with their kisses and the worst thing is that they steal your heart and make you happy. They also are nosy bodies that need to know everything that is going. THEY ARE THE BEST, MOST LOVING, SMARTEST AND SWEETEST pet you will ever have.

I had a pitbull who was rescued from dogfighting. He was deemed "aggressive" and he was going to get put down. I did not give up on him. I went to that dog shelter everyday and it took one month but then he warmed up to me. He was not aggressive. He barked and cried cause he was scared. He was an albino pitbull with a huge scar on his face. He looked scary at first but when I brought him home... he smiled for the first time . And that smile never went away from his face. He looked like a smiling snowball cause he always curled up on my lap. So I called him snowball. He was just a big baby and as his personality came up he was starting to love new people and people attention. He was intelligent funny and goofy. I loved to dress him up and play with him. You know what? He became my helping hand when I had panic attacks. I did not train him. One time I had a panick attack and fell down. When I woke up my neighbour was there and paramedics where there. He went and opened the front door and went to bark and bark at the next door. When the neighbor came out he pulled her in by her sleeve and showed her where I was. Turned out I banged my head on the table while falling and had a huge head bleeding. I could have died and he saved me. I was mesmerized. From that day he always followed me and slept at the food of my bed and whenever I had seizures he sat on my abdomen blocked my arms and licked my face until I woke up. And if I did not wake up in 10 minutes he started barking until my parents came for me. Now he is dead. Stomach cancer. But he was already 14 when he died. I am glad I gave him all the love he deserved. Rest in peace my angel. RIP snowball.

They have a high prey drive. Just because you got a dog from a dog fight doesn't mean you have the real American pit bull terrier. These knuckleheads out here will fight Meaty because they think that's a fighting dog.. When it's not. Yes. I have owned the real American pit bull terrier. My off Tants Yellow and had a Jeep. One of my friend's granddaughter had the most adorable face until three weeks ago. Her other grandparents came to visit with their pit bull. As you always hear, the Pit had never shown any aggression and was left outside with the 4 year old girl playing in her sandbox not even interacting with the pit. They watch the unprovoked attack happen. Practically tore off half her face while three adults tried to fend off the dog. The girl barely survived. Two surgeries already, will have additional surgeries over the next year and as she grows older. She will be disfigured for life!

According to this video, my pit is a Staffordshire. When we were in shelter during Hurricane Harvey, we took her for walks for exercise and to do her business. Some people were scared of her, until they saw the smile and tail wag.The most impressionable experience was when I was walking my girl down the street and she stopped in front of a woman who was upset and crying. My dog then sat and just looked at the woman, tail still wagging and her snout sniffing the woman. The woman looked at doggie then laughed. My dog then inched closer to her and the woman took her in her arms and held her for awhile. She smiled at me and my dog. It was an emotional experience. I'm glad my dog could help some of Harvey's victims have a sweet moment.

I have the sweetest Staffordshire pittbull and before her I never had any interactions with pittbulls, but she has changed my world!!!! She's incredibly smart and she is ALWAYS happy!!!! No matter how she may be feeling she's always going to have a happy waggle tail!!!! I love her so much!!!

Don't trust just any vet! Always get a second or even third opinion! Some vets don't seem to know what they are doing! And their patients can't complain!
@@lilylin1805 I dont think this is necessarily true. They go through years of schooling for this and not every diagnosis is going to be correct, animal or not. However you don't see keyboard warriors going wild if mothers live from cancer a bit longer from a doctors timeline.

He's a mutt from my uncle's friend's farm, but he's definitely some Bulldog mix from mom's side- has that trademark wide face smile and strong front legs. There is no such thing as bad dog,only bad owners,I also got pitbull and Bully 3 years ago and they have never even shown any sign of aggression towards people or any animals,they are so loving and heart warming and love to cuddle,just becoz some bad owner raised an aggressive pitbull doesn't mean they are aggressive breed
