TONKA DIED 😢😢😢
I read this first. I knew it was coming but it still made my heart sink to see it.
It’s sad but at least he spent his last few months of his life with a family that he loved and they loved him

They actually left out a pretty sad part of the story...Kris had a friend with him who had to hike for another day and a half trying to find help before starting a fire, the smoke from which caused rescue helicopters to spot him.
Oh gosh! That’s so sad! But glad someone was with them! Or it may have been much longer before they were found! 😞

@Eddy Love I remember hearing about this because I am a pretty avid climber myself and someone passed along the story to me. Apparently Kris, his friend and his pups were hiking/climbing in Colorado and somehow they got turned around and lost but when Kris was out trying to find a water source is when he had his accident. He had been climbing and his dogs were with him but he lost his grip and tumbled off the cliff. I never really heard the full details but since he had the dogs with him during this climb I am supposing it was one that was a walkable traverse since I wouldnt expect him to be rappelling with dogs in tow. Such a tragedy that something like that occurred.

This had me bawling my eyes out and then my adhd took over and I searched for Kris on Insta and found out the family that adopted Tonka said he passed suddenly in his sleep on the morning of Halloween 2020, Kris's favorite holiday. I am convinced Tonka was not the same without Kris and Kris came for him that morning. But P is doing great!! Went through half my box of Kleenex 😭. But in the end Kris and Tonka are together and watching over their loved ones and the amazing family that adopted these sweet boys ❤.
When you said Kris came for him that morning I lost it😢 I'm convinced that's what happened and they'll be waiting on the 🌈 bridge for their loved ones

I’ve been following Tonka and Little P’s story since the accident. Tonka died suddenly in October. Very sad.

so sad to find at the end that Tonka has passed as well... I've never seen two pities this gentle and lovable... you can clearly see their emotions in the whole video... big love & hugs to them both... I lost it when that magical thing happened at 3:22 they were really on it, telling Chris howling they are now happy with their new loving humans... you can't get any more emotional than this...

The fact they stayed by him until help arrived made me cry. I love these type of videos bc they always open a soft spot and show not everyone or everything is bad.
when the dogs howl like that it means they are calling to the rest of their group, and in this case their dad was the complete piece of the group :’(

😥Oh wow, Tonka later passed too. Maybe that’s why he would sing so much. No matter how hard you try, some hearts never heal when it’s been broken. Tonka and Kris were together since Tonka’s birth. The story was already sad, but to know Tonka passed after this filmed, just adds to the sadness. 💔 Atleast they’re back together, and hopefully Little P has a new sibling to play with and he’s doing well. RIP Kris & Tonka💜💜🙏🏽

My pitbull died about 2 years ago, then his brother boxer just died the first week of January. I dearly miss them both

Elijah, I had to put my boy down a year and change ago and Tonka reminds me of him. Nothing honors them more than filling your heart with a shelter piggie.
Sorry for your loss! Dogs make such a big impact- Anxiety and depression just melt away... I have a Great Dane and they use ally don’t live that long but you enjoy your time together and one we’ll meet them again :)

Absolutely Nyx Bellatrix. This sure tugged at the heartstrings. Wonderful people all round making sure they were together again and living the good life. 💖
That’s why it’s so important to make arrangements for your pets in case something happens to you. I was the director of animal services in San Diego and it was so sad to get that call to pick up someone’s pets because the owner had died. One can’t explain to the animals what is happening and oftentimes relative will say they will take them in the event etc etc but sadly that is seldom the case.
But I just cant get overt. Kris was so young and handsome. He never got to meet the right girl( or boy) and have a family of his own, or grow older. he didn't get hardly any life at all.
Incredibly tragic what happened to Kris. I’m so sorry for his family, including his pets. Im glad they had a loving home.

This broke my heart. There is a reason Tonka and Lil P survived. I truly believe Tonka stayed around to make sure his best friend found a loving, warm home. This is just tragic on so many levels. I pray Lil P is doing well… I can’t imagine how he reacted to losing his brother. Tonka and Kris are together again, that is a definite. This story hit me very hard… I would love to hear an update on P. I’m so, so sorry for your loss.
This had me practically sobbing. I feel horrible for Little P, having to be all alone without his brother or Dad. I’m grateful that Tonka had lots of new adventures before his passing. RIP Tonka and Kris. 😭🥺❤️
Don't feel bad for the dad. He has a history of abusing kids and training dogs to fight. He ran over a kid and left the scene the kid was unconscious and now is permanently disabled

Well, he at least has his new family. And it seemed they both found comfort with them, so as it is sad, I'm glad Little P is with a family that Tonka was with too. They were able to grieve together and comfort Little P.
Oh I can’t imagine the pain this 2 fur babies felt when they realized their daddy doesn’t come after them! Animals are so much more smarter than so many humans! Just brakes my heart for them! I’m just so happy and thankful that they found them a loving family, where they can be together! RIP Chris! I know you watch over your babies from above 🙏🏻😢❤️

@Alacia Stacey Tonka died after this was filmed according to people in the comments who kept up with the story even after. So sad... That's why I encourage people not to give up an animal they've raised from puppy to adulthood. They suffer tremendous separation and some don't even make it with other families. No games, a pet is a serious responsibility. We get one, they must be cared for well, and for its life span.

This whole story is heartbreaking. Really amazing that the family made sure Kris's beloved furballs were taken care of. I've asked my sister to look after my furballs and find them a loving home if something happens to me. Its nice to see other families doing the same. It's also nice to know that Tonka was reunited with his brother before the end. RIP Kris and Tonka 😭
I did the same thing. Both my dogs have godparents that will take them in if anything happens to me and my wife.

Kris must have been the most ace dude because Tonka and Lil' P are such happy fun dorks. It's horrible that the world lost such a good man but the fact his kids found a wonderful home and stayed who they are shows the real effect Kris had with time here. Also the names are so brilliant.

It was a mistake watching this while out eating lunch, trying not to cry while eating my potato chips. I am glad that Tonka was able to live out his last time with with such lovely people and he was able to be happy again before passing

I could not stop crying. What a tragic story. To have gone through the accident together not being able to help Chris. My heart goes out to Chris's family. And special thanks for working to keep the boys together. I suspect Tonka died of a broken heart. It's going to take a minute to get over this story. RIP Chris and Tonka hopefully they are together again.

This was so sad but then happy and then I saw the “In Loving Memory” and I burst into tears. Not just for the loss of both Kris and Tonka but for Little P. He is now an only “child” and has lost so so much. He does have a loving mama & papa thank goodness but still. I am heartbroken over the whole thing!

Tonkas front legs were broken. Didn't hear what little p's injuries were That most animals don't leave the side of their master sometimes they will for help though. I don't believe they could get out either.
@@rosylee5683 ya that is so true, if I was thinking the dogs A. were howling or B. someone saw them. anyways my dog didn't leave my mom's said when she died but he knew she was gone. Most times dogs will know if their owner is alive or dead, its really sad actually.

Amen, Vincent! Poor Pittbulls always had such a bad rap due to HORRIBLE, EVIL people being mean and abusing the poor pitties, teaching them to be fearful and aggressive!!! Thank God for normal, sane, wonderful, caring people who know what love is all about and care for our awesome animals!!❤️💕❤️
There is nothing such as a dangerous or bad dog breed, just bad and dangerous owners. Any dog can be dangerous if not raised right, but any dog can also be the loveliest little thing if raised right.

Me too, I started crying as well! The entire family surrounding Tonka and P tucked at my heartstrings and brought me to tears. These pups are wonderful! If people can't see that animals have the same emotions we do, they need to watch this video. There is no denying the emotions these pups went through after their dad died. P in the hospital trying to see his brother going in for surgery was heart wrenching. Try as he might to stretch all the way up to give him a kiss, he was just an inch or so too short. What a wonderful ending that the pups were able to find happiness after the loss of their dad.💕

OMG...I'm sitting in IHOP...by myself. This honestly, brought tears to my eyes..to know dad passed and they stayed with him. I can literally feel the pain in my whole body.

Most animals do not have emotions (feelings) because there brains are not developed like that, you might think because a mother animal taking care of their baby is the animal acting out of emotions, but no it is the animal reacting out of instinct. Animals that do have feelings are Dogs, cats, dolphins, parrots, apes, monkeys, gorillas, orangutans, some species of whales, and other domesticated pets.
Clearly those who don't believe animals have feelings are lacking emotions themselves. Animals have more feelings than we could ever wish for. Animals are beautiful 💜

I am crying. I watched them with Chris and very sad that he passed away. I am happy that P and Tonkia are with a loving family.

This kills me listening to this story. I lost my best boy of 13 years- pit- bull, terrier- hound mix named Buster Brown he was a loyal, supportive boy when I got out of the hospital. He was there day& night by my bed side for 55 days till I could walk on my own. Dogs are little angels full of love

Our dogs are always full family members and we love them like our children...Dogs are the best beings on this planet and humans could be more than happy when they show their unconditional love and that they stay loyal until their last breath in good and bad times... We lost our beloved dog crazy Daisy cause of cancer in august 2019...This was the day the earth stand still and the sun didn't shine anymore... This sweet and beautiful and gentle giant baby girl was the love of my life... She was my best friend, my shadow, my siamese twin, my soulmate... We spent almost 11 years together and this was the time of our lifes... That loss almost killed us and the grieving was horrible... After almost one year we decided to adopt a new dog and give him the life he deserves... So we'd adopted our sweet boy Marley a border collie mix. They found him at a dumpster in Greece and after quarantine he came to Germany and we'd adopted him directly... Now we have a very happy boy all his anxiety is gone and he learned that men could be friends too... We love him very much and he is so happy to be with us... Honestly I must say that Daisy was and is always my number one for lifetime... She took our hearts with her but she left enough back so that we can give Marley a life with love and care he deserves and she never would be upset about it cause she knows how much love we have to give and that Marley will be loved every single second... Miss you so much wonderful baby girl but I am sure the day will come and we will be together again for all times and nothing can separated us anymore...😍💝😘💝😍

@@madisonbosquez8931 I'm sorry for your loss I know how it is. My two boys Tobias and Jackoby were poisoned while I went to the store. I was only gone for 10-15 minutes. (Store is just up the road.) Vet said it was Stricknine poisoning. I Bawled and bawled! Then about 2 days later I put up a reward for Information, leading to and coviction of the person or persons who did this barbaric, inhumane act of violence. The 18yr old got 10 yrs. Solid Time (no early outs) 👍 👍 5 for each dog!!
I love how their new parents recognize their random singing is them talking to Kris. That’s so sweet and understanding of the dogs emotions. They go through loss just as we do and it’s nice to see it respected.
Yet they dont understand that a wagging tail doesnt mean a dog is happy. So i highly doubt it that they understand a dogs emotions.

Been following Tonka and Little P’s story since the accident and sobbed at each video. Kris was an exceptional human being and gave them what each dog deserves, unconditional love. Was not ready for the news of Tonka’s passing😢. Poor little P to experience so much loss in such a short space. I find comfort in the fact that Tonka is now reunited with his dad. RiP Kris and Tonka
