I love how Bowser is ready for a fight in the cutscenes (probably because he's eager to look good in front of Peach). This is the kind of personality that we haven't seen in a Mario spinoff since M&L Dream Team.
Either that or he just wants to protect his frenemies. I'm talking about Bowser by the way.

Wow, they added a ton more depth to the game. I was concerned about them adding free movement, but it was obviously necessary with all the new features.
Who knows, maybe the next XCOM will try it too.

It looks like the cutscenes might be prerendered, especially with that alternate resolution. As for the game itself, the frame rate is all over the place, dipping into the mid-20s far too often. Odd because the last gameplay video seemed to have an unlocked frame rate.
This is a brilliant boss idea! I hope that there will be more like this. I like the depth of the strategy compared to the previous game
I had a feeling when they revealed it was free movement instead of grid based, the ante on strategy and difficulty was going to be upped significantly.

Spoilers on the first game: I think Bowser (and Bowser jr.) is grateful that Mario & Co. saved him from the Megabug.
I'm happy that Bowser joins Mario Crews
there basically just frenimies who like disliking one another.
Same thing happened with DK. He started out as the villain and now he has his own games. Perhaps eventually Bowser will get his to own game or series and another Mario baddie will take his place. Or it's just for this game.
This feels like a true game. Not that the first one wasn't, but the original always just felt like it was missing something. In this one, everything is just a lot more fleshed out, and the battle system more integrated into the actual world.

The other one wasn't missing anything. It was just not as grand as this one. It felt like Ubisoft getting permission to do something, while this game feels so much better integrated in the Mario universe.
The first game was great but now we see what the sequel is we see it as what missed potential it had that’s here

I don't know if I'm gonna pick this up or not but I absolutely love all the cutscenes, Ubisoft are surprisingly making all the Mario characters' personalities shine. Awesome stuff!!!
@RL10 Getting DLC with Rayman though so wouldn't be surprised if Yoshi's coming as DLC or she will appear and they've just not shown her off yet.

When I first heard they were getting rid of the grid-based system, I wasn't sure about this game. But seeing this has brought back hype!
All the grid based system meant was limiting your movement and spot to spaces. It is much more like recent XCOM

Missed a chance to say hope, sparks of hope.
This looks 10 times better than the last game. With the new synergy moves, combinations for your team, more free movement, taking down multiple enemies at once easier, and the new animations. Good job

I’m adoring Rabbid Rosalina even more everytime i see her. Just her vibe of “Are we done yet?” Is so much fun. And the massively-low effort she puts into using the Sparks is just :D
This is definitely feeling like Kingdom Battle's TTYD, absolutely loving everything about this sequel. And that DLC reveal, wild!

4:21 I noticed you can use multiple abilities in one turn now, this game keeps looking cooler and cooler! The Luma rabbids are a cool adition to the game and I really want to play Bowser.
I believe it's 1 glitter move and 1 hero move.

Nope. The music is done by Grant Kirkhope who’s the composer of Banjo-Kazooie.

I still find it hilarious how the Rabbids went from a party game series to a strategy turn based RPG series featuring Mario and a multiple unique characters with their own voice acting and personality
Seeing new worlds and fleshed out free roaming has gotten me very excited for this game!

When Mario reuses something (aka the wiggler here) it's cool. When sonic reuses something (cyberspace) its dumb. Mario and Sonic fans suck

Wow, the cutscenes are outstanding! I am blown away by the amount of polish and the detail is Sparks of Hope has. Everything great about the first Mario + Rabbids is expanded and better in every way in the sequel.

Perhaps the wiggler looks intimidating and scary when its pissed off along the battle, but I feel like hugging it after winning the battle and turning it yellow and happy again, due to its pretty and soft smiling face 🤗❤️

Shame the hero sight doesn't have the bit when they focused on Mario before taking a shot, made it really satisfying, but the new cutscenes are really cool too, can't deny that. Really hyped for this game.

Man! This is making me even more excited! I really like how depth and complex each fight and requires specific comps for missions and I love how dynamic the map is. Looking forward to this game!

This is amazing 🤩 as more and more new info comes out, the more I get excited about Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The game, environments, characters, battle system and the boss battles look amazing, super excited for October 20th!

Now this, THIS is a sequel! You can tell just how much the devs have learned from the first game. Even though Ioathe buying anything from Ubisoft considering that they aren't a morally good company by any means, I still wanna pick this up.
Also, Ubisoft Milan & Paris (M+R Team) are the only good devs out there who have faith on creating games for fun and treat themselves better like a family. Ubisoft needs to take notes from the Mario + Rabbids Team if they want their games to be good and trying to be that company creating games for fun. Ubisoft has been going downhill with they jumped on the BR and NFT trend, milking Assissins Creed & Far Cry too much, and that Toxic Workculture/Miscondut of Empoyees being abused (only on the minimum).

This is how you reignite a franchise. Even after the Mario crossovers the rabbids now have a revamped ascetic and talented creator's at the forefront and plenty of new fans. I'm curious what they do next.

Yes it does. It was revealed in the previous game footage that you can have your team composition be whatever you like.

They won't do Samus or Starfox. It's called Mario + Rabbids, not Nintendo + Rabbids. DK made sense because he's basically part of the Mario franchise but I doubt they would go much further than that on the Nintendo side of things. More likely is a Rosalina DLC or something with the Yoshis.
