  • The blue tongues thick scales and tough skin were impervious to the snakes fangs,the snake couldn"t penetrate it,these two species over thousands of years have evolved side by side. The lizard isnt fast but tough,the snake would generally prey on other creatures that its venom could be injected into and have its effect. In a twist of fate these two animals paths crossed,the lizard will walk away unscathed and the snake is better off looking for something easier to eat.

  • Typical Black Snake.... bite and hold on and then pump the venom. Too many people believe the "King Brown" is of the Brown snake outfit because of its colour; which it isn't. That is why this blokes name was changed some 20 years ago to the Mulga. Very good movie just the same

    @IanKWatts@IanKWatts10 жыл бұрын
    • Ian Watts yep. The name was changed to mulga because a guy died from the species. He was struck on the hand while lifting a piece of tin. He sought after medical attention but unfortunately he said it was a "brown snake". Little did he know mulga's are actually a black snake (psedoechis) and not a brown snake (psedonaja) he was given brown snake anti venom and died 20 hours latter. This led to the name change from king brown to mulga and also led to papaun black snake antivenom being used to treat mulga snake bites.

And if you're going to shoot a snake. Why shoot something that could easily be avoided? And if you're going to kill a non-venomous/mildly-venomous species. Why kill something that can't kill, cripple, cause extreme pain, ect to you or your family?

    • Yes they are venomous. The venom isn't actually that toxic. Its just produced in very large amounts. It is considered dangerously venomous and is responsible for around 2 deaths in the past 100 years.

    • bokson4 i would have to disagree you you on them being "extremely aggressive". Usually they are quite placid and most of what they do is bluff.
