When players quit supercell doesn't make money especially from KZheadrs or anyone who's banned even for 30 days that has spent money because if I was suddenly banned and I didn't know about it even though I have honestly spent $10,000 and not being a KZheadr I would probably quit all supercell games and that $10,000 is all supercell games not just clash Royale

I opened like 50+ lucky drops combined in 2 different accounts, no epics, no legendaries. Feel like a scam to me
I got 2 epics and bunch of rares and from epics I got combined 15000 cards
i got 2 legendary 2 epics and mostly rares
i got 6 legendary

Hopefully you learn the difference between bugs and exploits, this is an exploit and is the player fault, is not like it randomly happend, it was a series of steps u have to take in order for it to work. Abuse it and get what you deserve, fair and square

Well, if content creators quit, supercell loses a bit a revenue but content creators loses most of their income.
Getting perma banned for getting a few extra cards when most of their accounts are maxed out is messed up. If anything supercell are losing profits by banning big KZheadrs who advertise their game!

I have to say, this really shows the current priorities within Supercell HQ; they don't care when bugs affect game performance (unless it's actually game-breaking *cough cough* evo firecracker), but when something pops up that lowers their profits a single bit, they hop on it ASAP and ban anyone exploiting it. To be fair, even with their hyper-monetization on CR they're still actively losing money (for clarification check out CWA's video on Squad Busters soft launch). I'm not saying what they're doing to the game is justified, only that they're starting to run out of options to make profits go up, and the lack of new games from them is only worsening the situation for them.

There was also a club league glitch that was exploited, but they banned players for maximum 31 days and did no permanent bans. That's how much brawl stars devs care about the players.

A ban for this is just so weird to me. Like in one of the games I often play (Destiny 2), whenever currency-style glitches emerge, the community actively encourages people to abuse the glitch before it's patched out. And negative repercussions are never handed out.

No, not "of course" Supercell states in their terms of service that you aren't allowed to use any exploits. It is by no means ridiculous to ban players for 31 days after they used an exploit, which they knew they could me punished for. Quit crying. The only reason people even care is because larger content creators got banned.

7-14 days ban should of been a reasonable ban for a greedy company like supercell. Clash is going to lose way more money than 7 dollars for a stupid luck block glitch.

I have been away from the crl community for quite some time, and I occasionally check up on the updates, but I play the game casually. You'd expect the game to improve after many months, but its sad that it is still the same, the same greedy devs and owners that only care about money. I don't plan on playing the game competitively anytime soon, but this is just disappointing smh.
The way SuperSell has been treating its players and creators is sick, terrible shop offers, ruthless bans on antique accounts, and expensive game breaking towers and evos that you NEED to stand a chance. As a F2P, who is playing every day to max my account, I feel like I am only falling further behind in progression. my one maxxed (cycle) deck can't keep up. I don't think I will ever finish top 1000 again.
At first I thought evos were a good idea, but making them so broken is what is ruining the game, plus the 2 Evo slots for level 15 players.

Eragons ban made sense. He went to twitter and openly was just like "Imma just go to another account" Just openly admitting to ban evading. I understand the 31 days, but perm bans dont really make sense. However for his case, I can see why they did it.
Imo the company's careless workers who accidentally made this mistake should be have taken the blame and be fired because they earned a thousands of dollars and yet couldn't live up to their expectation. It's just poor misconduct to put the blame on players who may be f2p of spenders who help generate revenue and popularity for supercell.

People got permanently banned aka lost their account because some knowing exploited a few lucky drops, or some probably unknowingly had wifi issues during their lucky drop opening, crazy
those bans are going to cost them way more than they actually lost from the bug, both financially as well as the little reputation they have left. I guess Boom Arena is gonna become more popular again, idk why that isn't the case already because not having levels makes it a better game.

So many glitches were legal but this one hurt their profit margins by 0.01% (the only people who play the game F2P, know of the bug and used it). Gotta go full force!!! Jokes aside, the fact some people pushed hundreds if not more trophies with other exploits getting passed is insane

I think there was something like that in brawl stars because with my "good" wifi sometimes when I open star drop it stops and when I rejoin I can open it again. No one should be banned permanently. I’ve been playing a deck that counters the dagger duchess and princess tower pretty well but I occasionally run into a cannoneer and almost always get wrecked. I still think it’s the worst tower troop but the fact that you can surprise people by being off meta can be valuable.
It works well with certain play styles but I agree it's the worst

I personally dislike any form of exploit, but when it comes to simply being able to catch up in card levels or so, it shouldn't really matter since the core gameplay isn't all that affected. Yet again, Supercell needs those $$.

It seems that games sometimes have issues with airplane mode. There was a similar ban in a Dragonball game named "Dokkan Battle" that gave characters near-infinite stats for the duration of the battle.

Apparently this seems to be an unpopular or hot take, but using a bug to make progress that would have otherwise taken months or much longer absolutely constitutes at least a month ban. Although supercell hasn't treated other bugs as harshly, none of them have allowed players to make such significant progress, and it's not like they don't treat other offenses far too harshly like account sharing which is normalized in other games. Imo this is the ideal outcome the scummy players get to suffer and supercell gets a lot of hate and will likely lose a lot of revenue. :D

I agree that a ban is fair. A perma-ban? Absolutely not. And let's not forget that they had the creator code bug where no revenue was going to the creators, and they took their time to fix it. Although it might not be much, that's scummy, because that revenue was not given to the creators. But now that SC revenue was messed with, they lash out like this. That's a clear example of greed. It's frankly disgusting.
I get what you’re saying about 2 birds 1 stone, like both glitch abusers and supercell both take an L, but if supercell wasn’t so greedy/scummy, there wouldn’t be as much of a reason to glitch. The boxes absolutely suck. The drop rates are so terrible. I’ve gotten a legendary book one time, outside of that one time, I’ve gotten 95 percent common and rare like 3 times. No exaggeration. I’ve opened the boxed almost every single day since they’ve come out. And I hate the drop rates so much lol. 31 day ban is a bit much, but ok considering it wouldn’t be permanent. Permanent is just cruel to do to your players, the ones still sticking around after their BS too.

This whole situation is so funny to me because I discovered this bug day 1 without realizing it. I did not have internet on and I was able to repeatedly open up the mystery box but they hadn't increased the chances by then so I got common after like 10 tries and I just assumed that it wasn't actually bugged. If I had gotten luckier and realized it could be exploited then I would have done it more and I would have ended up banned.
I lost connection when I was opening a mystery box and so I just opened it again not thinking much and then next thing I know, my account is perma banned I’m lying, but its still crazy something like that could happen and people would believe.

If supercell just ignored the lucky drop bans than nobody would have said anything about the previous exploits getting unpunished. If you choose to cheat/exploit than you must be quiet if you be caught. The exploiters chose to open themselves up to punishment. If you got banned than you must be quiet about supercell bieng greedy when you chose to be more greedy when supercell offered free to play gamers a great update. Actions have consequences if you're over the age of 18 than nobody should be crying about this.
Totally agree, and even though Supercell is losing out on potential revenue due to the exploit, the bigger problem is people abusing the glitch and having an advantage over those who had no idea the glitch existed in the first place

If a bug like this happened in Brawl Stars the team would patch it then probably give away some free reward to the players who weren't aware of it.
Over here in brawl stars, last time there was a big bug giving a lot of progression to some people, they just gave more rewards to everyone and apologized lol. (I am referring to the trophy road bug)

Ik boss is a CR you tuber but I just had to point this out. A few years ago in BS there was supposed to be a special offer “one mega box and some gold” for $2 but something went wrong and the offer ended up being “140 mega box and some gold” for $2, now imagine every player that bought the offer got a perma ban. Ik it’s no exactly the same situation but BS dev team lost way more money than a couple cards
As a Brawl Stars player I can say thta they're getting more greedy, years before when new brawler came out everyone was like wow because they added something new but now? Every like 50 days you get a new brawler who of course is under paywall for a week and now it's like yeah something new

Using a glitch to progress means a permaban, but those times when creator codes wouldn’t work, supercell just sat there and took a couple of weeks to do it.
the thing is, there people being banned for all of those things; clan nuking, and loon king tower. The community just doesn't care because they aren't top players. The reason everyone is so up in arms about specifically, is because top players have been affected, which is why we're more likely to hear about these perma-bans, and not others. While I agree that it is very greedy of supercell to do this, the Lucky Drop exploit involved something so specific that even games testers would be unlikely to test for. Come on, seriously. Who in their right mind would think "Hmm let me try and play the game in airplane mode and test everything to see if it creates an exploit". I get that the game should be more fleshed out, but at the same time abusing such a specific exploit should result in the 31 day ban, not a perma ban.
Not really sure about the dynamics of the bug but if it does cost them money, then maybe it is akin to stealing which is possibly more serious than being a nuisance?
I think that banning forever is harsh, but maybe it somehow correlates with what other players will get, because I've opened every single lucky drop since the update (around 30) and I haven't gotten any epic or legendary drops. It's about 0.0254% change of happening.
Controversial, without a doubt. On the one hand, I suppose it must be in the TOS. On the other hand, it is clear that it is a failure of the development team, just as a bank is responsible for security flaws due to unacknowledged charges.
Rockstar does this too. Gta online has so many bugs and they leave them in for years. Can't sell your cargo? People using God mode glitches. Random crashes? Missions never ending? Tough luck. But as soon as any glitch that gives players money. BAN THEM IMMEDIATELY FIX IT

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this SC making a mistake/oversite that allowed the game to played in an unintended way and SC punishing players for playing the game in that unintended way - essentially punishing players for the developer's mistake.
Here is another perspective...i am a long time clash of clans player...whenever there is a bug in the game everyone is using it...the creators,the players and the pros...everyone uses the bug to the fullest until it gets patched and never has anyone ever been banned for exploiting bugs in the game coz at the end of the day it is the devs responsibility... Sometimes it shocks me how two games from the same company could be so much different in the way they are handled...
They did a permanent band because it takes a lot to go into making a game like this and creating optional upgrades like book of books getting exploited takes out CRL big time cause with that bug being exposed people can just instantly upgrade a maximum amount of cards and supercell loses $$$$millions of dollars essentially, that bug was was a big one in my honest opinion
What if you just had connection issues? There is no way for them to know if you would be performing the bug purposefully.

The thing is it’s technically not even “costing them money” because the rewards people were getting were just upgraded FREE rewards that are already being given away, it’s not like there was a bug to get free items from the shop that people have to pay for to unlock. That would be costing them money because people wouldn’t be spending on things they would have to normally…
As a person which i never play clash royale this is harshed punishment. I think same bug happen if i remember in Last Day on Earth (off-topic btw) where trying getting a dog with good skill is turn on airplane mode and check if you got anything good if not then just close a game and connect back to internet and open again and try again. This is similar
As someone who has used a single cent on the game, having always struggles with everyone having troops 2 or 3 lvls higher than me. I didn’t know about the bug, but it also makes me incredibly pissed, because it takes me weeks to get an upgrade on anything from these greedy Bs… Don’t make a pay to win competitive game and then complain about players exploiting a bug, that ensures no one has to use money. The problem in the game right now is, that if you want to climb you are gatekept, because you aren’t rich enough. It is a horrible system and why I stick to competitive games that don’t abuse this.

I think top players/creators get the perma, because they are most likely gonna get back to the game and spend more money to max acc again. Then casuals might get only 31 i would say
So idk about any of this but today while playing ladder. We were in overtime and with like 10-12seconds remaining on my screen my dart goblin connected and I won the game it the end screen animation started and took my cards and the whole troops bar but suddenly out of nowhere the match continued and the opponent was dropping cards while I am unable to absolutely nothing cz my card deck/card bar was gone , and i lost the match. For a hot second I was sooo confused like wtf just happened and then i realised that I lost the game. I have screenshot of that too, i couldn't screenrecord cz it was too quick and I was completely baffled. This game is full of bugs but no way they are going to compensate me right.
If they do decide to keep permabans, they have to have an option for appeals

I’ve ONLY gotten common and rare lucky drops and only got 5 epic wild cards the rest is rare wild cards and gold. Then I quit playing the game because I’m tired of the duchess and not even getting a single epic drop
This reminds me of Blizzard lol, they also ban players immediatly from WoW by doing smth like killing a boss with an exploit, while literal bots only there to farm as many materials as possible and slow down progress of other players are unharmed
Honestly supercell is doing the players they banned a favor. Game is the in the worst position its been at in the 8 years ive been playing. Permaban does seem harsh tho. Taking away gems, gold, reverting the rewards, or a 1-6 month ban seem more fair especially for first time offenders. They’ll ban people for this but not for win trading on ladder or gt.
This remembers me the flight mode bug situation in dokkan battle , a lot of people were banned for a bug too
