  • I could listen to John for hours. He's a very logical man and he's speaking sense in a world of madness. We should all get out in nature more, live more simply, be more grateful and be less materialistic. I love the fact that John has been accepted by the people of Britain and has become a part of the Boxing world and has become a sort of Boxing media darling. I'd love to meet him one day and just thank him for his wisdom and for raising one of the greatest Heavyweight boxers in history.

  • John is right, but John isn’t alone, I’m nearly 47 and we came from a normal family..you ate what you were given. I grew to 6’8..I was always hungry as a child and I remember sneaking food past my parents to eat to eat upstairs, imagine being hungry and stealing food to keep away the hunger..I was never starved.I came from a loving family, but my mother couldn’t understand that my 5’9 dad and me had different needs…I also eat oats with water…I’m 47…6’8 ,17 stone and in good health..live in Vietnam..and have a loving family in Vietnam and England. I try to teach the children about basic food and no MSG cooking…I want my kids to be healthy and strong.

    • I really enjoy John as well but calling him a "real national treasure" is simply not knowing what the word means. It's reserved for a very, very select few people over the course of centuries, again just look up the definition. Throwing that attribute around like yesterdays newspaper will ultimately hurt the word itself. He's a great man. A great father. Calling him a national treasure is doing him a disservice.
