During the RACE 1000 1/2 Mile drag racing event in Germany, I have filmed this crazy tuned 950HP Volkswagen Golf IV R32 Turbo in action, doing some head to head drag races against a 850HP Porsche 991 ES800 LCE Performance and a Porsche Taycan Turbo S. Enjoy the video!

    • it must be taking care of the clutch, maybe the amount of power is too much to handle for the gearbox so he starts slow and then after 3 he kicks, for what i heard, this is a race of top speed so doesn't matter when he leaves

    • Isnt it a normal thing in this kind of event? I mean not that he reacted slow, it's just that you can launch a little bit later cause it not about reaching first, it's about the top speed you reach in that distance.

    • I think it's the way his Turbocharged system is set. I can't think of anything else of why he lags that much. Also, it could be the awd system , who knows.

  • This is not a race, but a top speed finish event. The Golf wins every time. Just to clarify for everyone who thinks the Golf driver is failing. His start is slow in 1st, 2nd gears so he doesnt blow his gearbox. But at 3rd gear and up.. he is killin' it.

    • Das stimmt . Im dritten Lauf sieht man auch wie er beim Launch garnicht komplett Gas gibt . Erst nachdem das DSG in den dritten geschalten hatte gibt er Vollgas . Andernfalls würd ihm wahrscheinlich das DSG Getriebe sofort kaputt gehen .

    • @Jamie Boreham it is a race about time you travel down the track and about the trapspeed at the end. They show both time and speed of both cars so you can see which one was faster. Not every race is about starting exactly at the same time…

    • @Jamie Boreham why tf would they not let them go at the same time? 1. A lot of cars race at the same time anyways, but an electric car and a 950 MK4 golf aren’t going to do that because the MK4 isn’t going to give it the beans in 1st gear at launch. 2. They can get 2x as many races when they line 2 cars up at the same time opposed to letting every car go 1 by 1. They put vs in the title because people who actually have a clue about racing know that these 2 cars are going versus each other in time and trapspeed.

    • Sowas hässliches meinst du. Typisch Europäische Autos. Ein Glück das die meisten Menschen auf der Welt gescheit sind und kaufen sich schöne Japanische und Amerikanische Autos. Kannst ja schauen: World Best Selling Cars. Mein Toyota Camry V40, dass kann man übrigens als schönes Design bezeichnen, er ist auf Platz 6 im Ranking in Top 10 siehst du auch nur Japanische und Amerikanische Autos.

Und das kann man nicht so sagen, bei Indien trifft das zu aber bei vielen anderen Ländern wie USA Canada Australia Dubai und noch paar andere Länder kannst du gut sehen, dass auch sehr teure Japanische und Amerikanische Autos in den Top 10 sind. In Dubai der Toyota Landcruiser oder Nissan Patrol aber auch mein Camry der zum Teil in Asien und USA als Polizei und Taxi benutzt wird. In USA siehst du Pickups und Cadillacs ganz vorne aber auch da wieder mein Camry. Wer sich diese Autos leisten kann, der könnte sich jedes deutsche oder europäische Auto auch leisten. Es sei denn du kommst jetzt an mit Maybach aber auch soviel kann ein Cadillac oder Landcruiser kosten wenn du noch sie gepanzert haben willst.

    • @@hamanncorporation1993 Sorry aber einen Camry mit einem Mk4 R32 vergleichen 😄 Beim Golf 4 R32 ist innen alles aus echtem Aluminium gefertigt selbst der Aschenbecherdeckel. Geschäumtes Armaturenbrett und eine voll verzinkte Karosserie mit 12Jahren Garantie für durchrostung. Beim Golf 4 war der Piech beteiligt. Er hat ihn zum besten Golf aller Zeiten katapultiert. Der Golf an sich ist schon eines der erfolgreichsten Autos der Welt. Jeder Mensch selbst in Sibirien kennt einen Golf. Einen Camry glaube ich werden weniger kennen. Der Golf hat den Käfer erfolgreich abgelöst und wurde zu einem der größten Automobilen Legenden ever!Der Golf ist in vielen Varianten für viele Langweilig da er einfach über auf der Welt fährt und fast jeder mal einen gefahren ist oder drin gesessen hat. Geschmäcker sind ja zum Glück verschieden aber ein Golf ist eine reine Erfolgsgeschichte. Top Golf 4 R32 kosten mittlerweile bis zu 60.000Euro was ihn zum zweit teuersten Golf aller Zeiten macht nach dem 2er Limited der um die 100.000 kostet.

    • @@paulwalker7514 Ich vergleiche meinen Camry 2007 nicht mit einem Golf, da ich den Camry nicht beleidigen möchte, kein Mensch auf der Welt ist so Wahnsinnig und kauft einen Golf für 100.000 Euro. Für 100.000Euro kaufen die Menschen da eher einen Cadillac, Toyota Landcruiser oder Toyota Alphard in spezial Edition gut zu sehen bei: Best Selling Cars in Dubai oder Best Selling Cars in Asia... Und es ist genau umgekehrt, einen Camry kennt jeder, außer in Europa ist in ein paar Länder das Auto unbekannt, ich sage dazu, dass liegt daran das in Europa die Menschen weniger Geschmack haben. Nicht um sonst ist jedes Jahr der Camry in den top 6 der Weltweit meistverkauften Autos!!! Da kann der Golf nur von Träumen. Der Golf fällt jedes Jahr immer weiter runter. In den Top 10 sind nur noch Japanische und US Autos. Nur der Golf ist noch drin aber der ist Platz 8, ich denke mal der ist bald weg von den Top 10. Ich weiß das der Golf an dritter Stelle war und dann jedes Jahr immer weiter abstürzt. Der Camry ist so bekannt, dass er als Polizei und Taxi Fahrzeug in Asien und USA benutzt wird zusammen mit den Ford Victoria Crown und den Lincoln Town Car. Und gerade in Russland Beziehungsweise Sibirien fahren fast alle nur Japanische Autos. Oder ihren Lada...Best Selling Cars in Russia ist der Golf noch nicht einmal in den Top 25... Aber mein Camry ist voll dabei. Du kannst ja schauen im Internet. Zum Beispiel Russia Best Selling Cars Top 25. Russland ist aber eher uninteressant die kaufen Hauptsächlich ihren Lada. Aber viel Spaß mit deinem Golf, ich verurteile dich ja nicht.

  • Understandable saving the first couple gears with the amount of torque that thing probably has... Difficult keeping the torque numbers down when working with that amount of horsepower.

  • Curious as to why was the R32 so slow to start? Looked almost deliberate choice by the driver? I don't speak German so unsure what the announcer etc were saying. R32 still looks & sounds amazing though!

    • Ist’s because of some Problems with the DQ500 Gearbox…..: while wheel spin in the first gear, its not able to put the second gear…..its only a small software problem-wE will fix it……but anyway its not an issue for a bad Result🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

  • Trotz der vorsichtigen Starts im Ziel immer 50 km/h schneller als die Kontrahenten. By the way für alle unwissenden Heulsusen hier: beim Race 1000 (rolling Start) zählt die vmax im Ziel. 👍

    • @@maxmustermann8167 musst ja ein passendes Getriebe finden welches dann noch das ganze Drehmoment aushält, es gibt Autos die haben deswegen Getriebe verbaut sie so teuer sind wie der ganze Umbau am Golf, alles eine Frage des Geldes und der Verwendung.

  • Люблю когда тюнингованые машины построенные специально для гонок, сравнивают с обычными серийными авто, построенными для дорог общего пользования, всё хорошо, только гольф доехал до трека на эвакуаторе, проехал пару заездов и уехал обратно на эвакуаторе, а порше доехал своим ходом и своим ходом поехал обратно

    • Так тут дело не в том что он сам не может, а в том что некоторым машинам запрещено выходить на дорогу общего пользования. Определить можно по номерам, если он есть, то ей разрешено. В конце видео можно увидеть что многие спорткары и обыкновенные машины без них
