I can imagine if Edward narrated the part where the engines saw Thomas off, it's likely it would of been quite much like this: "The following morning, we gathered to say goodbye to our #1. The Fat Controller thanked Robert for all he could do to try and save his life. Many tears were shed by all of us, including Annie, Clarabel, Kate, Percy and even Francis, who said he was sorry for being stubborn towards our fallen friend. Sir Topham gave Francis the all clear to depart, and he somberly pulled away. As he did so, Percy, Kate, Annie and Clarabel cried the loudested out of all of us, because they knew he was a hero through and through for removing the petrol tanker away and preventing the death toll from being much worse! When Donald returned to service, Derek told our #9 the whole aftermath."

The part where Thomas was being given a hero's farewell was very moving to say the least. Having said that, Mickey's death was also very sad too. Sodor and it's engines have so much to thank him for. Percy will honour Thomas by looking after Annie and Clarabel becoming his coaches and Derek will likely be the watchful fire and rescue guardian of Sodor but perhaps finding another engine to become his sidekick. I'm glad Donald survived as losing him would've left Douglas heartbroken. As for Francis I know he was at odds with the other engines in the beginning but I feel that he will now be the engine to replace Peter who also sadly was taken.

Mickey's last words to Donald before he saved his life: "No" This season was a very good season but also a bit rushed at the same time. And wonder 1965 was a grim year for Sodor because hell broke loose when Geoffrey had his accident on episode 1 which killed him insteantly and that Peter was shot dead in episode 8 by one his victims who wanted revenge on him for many years. Then Shawn Creedy took his revenge on Mr. Zorro and shot him and Mr. Zorro died as a result... Toby was right about the whole munitions disaster in episode 9 because Benson bumped a train on track one but the train on track two had lit up because Shawn had probably put a timer on it which led to what happened and then there was the Killdane Scrapyards incident where some sort of bomb shell was still in the scrap rubble and thankfully Toby and Derek made it out and Donald unfortunately got his breaks loose and brave Mickey saved his life as a result... Now I will talk about Thomas... I wasn't expecting the number 1 to die but Derek said that he was filled with green water and not black and from other information I learned from other viewers is that Barry Island Scrapyards is a scrapyard only for scrapping rolling stock but there were engines who were scrapped but I think there is more to it? Maybe Thomas would wake up and have amnesia like Brian had? I still think that Robert Hall is innocent and is nothing like his twin brother but the problem is that Shawn never left a clue... No sign of him being the saboteur or anything like that? And that fact that Shawn was the first person who saw his mother dead and he probably wanted revenge on Henry, Donald and Mr. Zorro... Do you think Shawn was the culprit who killed those innocent people and engines? Who knows but let's give our condolences to the people and engines who lost their lives in 1965... Rest in Peace... Geoffrey Peter Mr. Zorro Thomas The 56 people during the munitions disaster... (Benson would rot in hell who cares about him) Thank you so much Victor Tanzig for this amazing season and can't wait for what's coming next! Oh f*ck...this is a rather "unique" ending. We FINALLY reached the conclusion of the grimest season of SoS, and I must say in all this was a rollercoaster. Let's start with the positives: - The mystery of the murderer was FINALLY revealed to us: Shawn Creedy, the brother of Robert Hall. It was satisfactory to watch how Donald pulled all the strings together to find out who was the culprit. - Also, Shawn killing himself in the end was a great ending, because with this we can see how can a tragic event destroy someone's life, and going only for revenge. His destructive goal and suicide just makes it an even sadder ending. - We lost many engines (+ Mr. Zorro - RIP to all of them), but for me, seeing Thomas dead is just mindblowing. This decision is one of the bravest that I have ever seen in the fandom, great job Victor! I read a theory down in the comments that he is not death, but in a similar green-water caused coma, just like what Barry had, but I don't want it to be true. I know that Thomas's character still has potencial, but I'm positive that this loss to the engines will certainly cause stories which we have never seen before and I'm pretty excited to see them in the future. - The ending showed that the Arlesdale engines will come to the island, i hope that Duke will return to that railway to show them the ropes, while remembering the past in those days. And now, here are my list of negatives: - I think I speak for all of us that fallout should have been longer than nearly 17 minutes (25 minutes would have been the minimum imo), because it had climaxes that didn't reach the high points (Thomas's death, the reveal of the murderer) - Micky's death was sad and surprising, but rushed, more time was needed to accept and grief on him - Shawn Creedy was only seen in the end, some scenes of his motivation and action would have made his character and the episode as a whole better All in all, this season was really good, with some unlikable and questionable moments/decisions, but definitely a good one. Happy new year to you Victor and to the others as well. Happy new year!

So... yeah. This was an episode. I don't usually comment on episodes left on here, but I feel I had to this time (and the reason it's this long is because I watched the leak and made up my thoughts yesterday; I did hold on until watching this episode to post it all in case Victor pulled a fast one over the leakers and gave us a different episode to what was intended). Spoilers follow so be warned. Season 5 as a whole; I've seen a fair amount of people complain about the short runtimes and how a lot of the events feel badly executed - which I get. I admit that whilst the shorter episodes have felt cohesive on the whole, I've always enjoyed the longer episodes over 20 mins or more. The running season theme of attacks on the railway is a very strong one with plenty of gripping moments and some genuinely shocking ones, but I do feel that with longer episodes, the impact could have been much better. Revenge was perhaps the best edited story of the season with a truly chilling final minute. Munitions, however? A bit of a letdown. I know in the past that having TUGS episodes as SoS episode narratives has worked - but not here; the short run-time doesn't help and hardly much of the actual fire and explosions was seen. Things do get better with this episode, but I also feel like as though Mickey's death was barely given much attention considering how major he has been from the start. S5 had strong ideas, but lacking in the execution overall. Longer episodes for future! Now we move onto Thomas... I'm just gonna straight up say it, I don't think he's dead. Think about Barry in Rescued - he was given green water in 1958 and didn't wake up until being given big enough of a bump; people assumed he was faceless and dead. Derek said they filled Thomas to the brim with green water so he wasn't in pain, but what if the amount they gave him was enough to knock him out to the point where he looked, sounded and was considered dead? Then consider what Sir Topham Hatt said; Francis was to take him to Barry in South Wales. I had to do my research... but considering the implications of Barry scrapyard, we have not seen the last of Thomas by any stretch and I foresee a big return for the tank engine in Season 6. The idea of him being away from Sodor for decades just... doesn't sit well with me. But here's what I've really been thinking about the last few days; Francis. Slowly but surely, we have seen a big change in his character, not too far off possibly from Thomas1Edward2Henry's portrayal of 199 (or Ted, sorry)- from his delight at seeing Rob Hall and his genuine support of Barry back in Experiment, to his sharing the steamies' dislike of Benson, to the sequence we see between the 9th and 10 minutes. I first thought maybe Francis's sadness was just an act of solidarity with the engines considering how much Thomas meant to Sodor. But what if it's something more? Either Francis feels guilt for a potential role he thinks he played in the disaster (the truth didn't come out until after he'd left so it's possible), or he's genuinely devastated at Thomas's death and is starting to realise the steamies aren't as bad as he thought they were - what if this inspires a complete turn in his character and he becomes a mainstay on Sodor? Maybe an episode in S6 could see him request a transfer to Sodor and then act nothing like he usually is, leading to him admitting he blames himself for Thomas's death and wants to atone? But in all, this has been another great ride, Victor. Thank you for everything and here's to a great 2024 for you; have a good one!

I think you may be right on the money here. It’s too easy to agree with all your points, especially advocating for longer episodes. They are more substantial anyway. I think an episode for all the deceased characters is very much needed, especially Mickey. I don’t think we can understate the significance of what SCPs of so did set up. There probably is a lot of defective green water and it is plausible that Thomas makes it back. Either way, having him presumed dead is a good story mechanic here.

Anyone else get the feeling we're watching a most deaths possible speedrun? Jokes aside, I guess you have to give credit for being daring enough to write such a plot point. However, I can't help but feel the rushed pace of this season and shorter episode lengths hurts it. It means less time on character development, and the higher frequency of these things happening in this season makes them feel less impacting per occurrence. Now, Victor can write good stories. We know he can, and I know he's responded to these criticisms with a lot of grace and humility considering how rabid some people get. I just hope Victor puts his health first rather than forcing himself to produce stuff he's not enjoying. So if you are going to criticise, don't be a massive peach about it. Criticism should provide feedback, not useless insults.
@Bagster3214 ай бұрын
This comment is perfect. Not a fan as well with the pacing, as well as the shorter run time. Part of it is a bit selfish, as obviously we all want more more more. But, certain scenes and events, IMHO, are not played out as long as they should, and they come across as more confusing and less impactful. The Geoffrey episode, IMO, is one where this is most prominent. He went from having a fairly bad, but "I've seen worse" accident to "Oh. He's gone." A bit shocking, but not in the good way. I was left more confused about it, with some episodes/scenes I have to go back and rewatch to try and understand. But with us, and others saying that, we forget how freaggin hard it is to write and make a series like this. And for five seasons, with two mini series to boot? Yeesh, I'm sure it is difficult to keep the creative juices flowing! And I know Victor has discussed his feelings of burn out at times, so I think your reminder is fantastic, and kudos to you for it. Given how short all of the episodes were in this series, I expected this episode to be the longest and I guess I was right in a way. I was actually expecting this one to be the solid and traditional Twenty Minutes and I think this could have been achieved by actually having a confrontation between the two Hall-Creedy brothers. We saw Shawn (or Shaun/Sean?) go into Robert's new house and if Midsomer Murders has taught me anything, that is build up part for the final murder attempt/confrontation where the murderer is arrested. Onslow had some potential involvement here as he could have sent out a warning to Robert that his brother was poking around his house lying in wait to murder him. Initially wanting to spare him but seeing how Robert helped save those he (Shawn/Shaun/Sean however you spell his name) tried to murder in revenge, he decided to seek revenge on Robert too. For the longest time, I always thought the reason why you never did a Munitions adaption until now was because of how difficult it would have been but seeing how much you pulled off until now, I think you could have done a confrontation scene. With no justice being done here, it is still a 50/50 chance on whether it will redeem the flaws of this Season or only add to them. I will have to sit on it but right now, I am probably going to have lean more toward the latter. Many things about this season have felt rushed and half-baked, the only thing really keeping everything together was the whodunit arc with the Hall-Creedy brothers and with all that build up, everyone was expecting a big finale. I do like somethings here, like the panning moving shots during the reconstruction montage which look very good and I hope you do more of those in the future because it helps give the setting a bigger feel to it, almost like a 4-D experience. The Fat Controller having his voice crack when relaying the news of Thomas' passing to the engines was also very well done.

What a season! Just when we thought that we couldn't lose anyone else... Rest in Piece, Mickey. (And as for Benson, nothing of value was lost.) But oh god, losing Thomas? That's going to leave a hole in everyone's heart that I'm not sure can ever be filled. Maybe the TV show can be created (assuming it did like in the books) to honor his memory. Goodbye and good riddance to Sean Hall, the murderous bastard. Guess they found out what he did, but did so too late to stop him from essentially getting off scot-free. A part of me does suspect that Robert might have done some unintentional coverups, but his actions throughout the season have more than vindicated him in my eyes. And with that, it seems like 1965, the worst year in Sodor since WW2 (and their equivalent of 2020), is finally over, just in time for the Arlesdale Minis to debut! Overall, a much tighter season that had a gripping mystery and plot, payoffs to a few long-running plot points, and shocking and heartbreaking deaths. One criticism I have, though is that it's clear that the cast has gotten way too big for its own good - the Skarloey Engines had practically no focus here, as did a few other engines like Eric, Rosie, Salty, Bill and Ben. Another is that for how good the story was (though YMMV on others), the episodes themselves were too short and few - they could have been a bit longer or perhaps a couple more could have been added to help flesh out the supporting cast more. And a third is that the ending music of the episode doesn't really fit. It could have been more morose and slow, maybe a piano version of the Thomas and Friends theme song to close out a bittersweet year. Geoffrey... Peter... Mr. Zorro... Mickey... Thomas... We will never forget you.

The scrap yard in Wales they are sending him to is famous for one thing, rarely scraping engines. The Barey Island scrap yard scraped rolling stock more often because the labor to profit margin was higher as rolling stock doesn't take a lot of effort for a team of scrappers to turn into usable metal compared to an engine which needed a lot more effort and time which bit into profits. NOTE: My thoughts here will contain some spoilers so if you haven't watched the whole episode or seen the full leak from another imposter Victor Tanzig account, please make sure that you do before commenting. Time for the big finale. Oh boy, where to begin. Well I guess I can begin from our email session from last year. You first told me that you planned that this season was going to take place within one year only: 1965 and you also told me that this episode (not counting the mini series) is the 75th episode overall so you planned to make this special. I can definitely say that this episode is special in its own right. We got all of our bases covered now. From answered questions about the Halls, we got a flashback and some important, sad deaths. Starting with the main Fallout from the docks and oh boy, seeing Thomas in that state was absolutely horrific. It’s completely devastating and sad to see. I’m honestly in shock from that to a point that, I just didn’t have any slight hope that he was going to survive this. Other notes was the realization from everyone else about the van explosion was not due to Benson but due to something planted, going ahead to the final plot point of the Halls and what happened at the scrapyards. Seeing the flashbacks was very interesting and puts everything all together really well. I enjoyed it. So Donald did survive the explosion from the trailer, only suffering minor damage. That’s a relief though at risk of Mickey going out like Lily and as a heroic sacrifice. That last line from him saying “No”. Perfect, most fitting and badass conclusion to his character. That was an emotional hitting line. Also emotional would be Sir Topham Hatt announcing that Thomas did not survive his injuries. I love the way you voiced that, giving some trembling in that line, along with Percy’s reaction. That is just heartbreaking. And the scene where everyone sees Francis taking him to Barry’s island, that was also heartbreaking. May they both rest in peace. We finally see the ending to the Hall storyline with Donald realizing how Michael Creedy is and we got an alibi from Robert Hall, which confirms that it wasn’t him that did all of this at all but his brother, Sean. I’ll be honest, I actually thought that he was still part of his brother’s plan. Got that wrong, badly. Sucks that there was no justice to Sean Hall’s death though, would’ve been better than him taking the easy way out. That’s just me. So overall, this was an emotional finale for Season 5. We had over 70 deaths (78 in total with 5 being engines and two being major human characters, Mr. Zorro and the antagonist, Sean Hall). We have everything answered from this series of what happened throughout the year. As much as this season overall hasn't been great due to the pacing, overuse of montages and rushed writing, the ending is really special and I can't wait to see how this is going to affect the future since Thomas is gone (for now), that will be interesting. Good finale, Victor. See you in Season 6.

I do hope that happens considering Dominic the Breakvan did get revived even after his remains were scrapped years ago.
@@dlp2372he was a ghost tho.
Or Thomas might be brought back similar to how Arthur was bought in to sodor.
Didn't Arthur came back but isn't as the same engine
@@user-xp9bi7qe2uthat's true. The name of Arthur must've been a coincidence as his class prototype was an exact replica to him. Thomas however was an E2, which were probably withdrawn from service around this time so it's either a possibility he was rebuilt using a faceless intact version of his class with a procedure similar to a brain transplant.
This was quite a rollercoaster of a season, all I can say is worth watching, Hope you have a well earned break Victor.
No, someone else, but Francis, would have to replace him
Damn. Mickey's death was unexpected, but it really shows who he was. Every firefighter, and even every cop, knows that they need be to willing to risk their lives to protect others. He did just that, saving Donald and keeping Douglas from enduring more trauma. Here's to hoping some of the theories I've seen in this comment section pan out and Thomas comes back in a later season. I'm still pretty salty (no pun intended, given the diesel's debut last season) about Thomas being killed... but this does beg the question. How many times has Thomas died in a fan project now?
I'm really upset and mad at the killing off thomas idea, he needs to rewrite this episode and have thomas turn out be alive like Ten cents in the tugs inspiration or have one of his surviving e2 brothers or a replica built to replace the thomas we lost with the memories of the original intact. This season finale was every bit as intense as I expected it would be, although I certainly wasn't expecting Victor to go through with killing off Thomas of all characters. Benson didn't do it, he was on track 1, the explosion was from track 2
So the significance of the Barry Scrapyard is that of the 300 or so steam locomotives they took in, 200+ made it into preservation (the exact numbers are slipping my mind currently, so don't 100% hold me to that number). Most of the UK's preserved locomotives come from Barry. So Thomas going specifically to Woodham Brothers Scrapyard in Barry would make for a keen story about how he somehow lived and was preserved.

@@commodorezero What do you mean? I've seen them. Not recently though.

I hope to God that you're right about Thomas.
Huh, your theory about thomas makes a good point. Hadn't even thought of that.
I appreciate the more positive lights of this review. And your take on this season is similar to mine. The voiceless montages really don’t justify how long it took production of this season and the 4th. And since voicing them was crucial, albeit the montage of everyone cleaning up the docks and desperately repairing Thomas was the only time (in my opinion) a voiceless montage done righ
Let's only hope that Thomas is in a deep sleep and he finds himself back in sodor at some point and maybe have him with the memory of being in Barry scrapyard? But not the other engines
RIP Thomas.😢 You will be missed. You really, were and always be a really useful Engine.
Just wait for Season 6 I'm pretty sure Thomas' Gonna come back AND maybe be The same Or a diferent engine Or something?
@@FRIEND38 i saw a comment that said "maybe Thomas got green water coma and he didn't die" that guy can be right bc the same happend to Barry too. I think he will reappear maybe not
Or maybe a spirit.
I have a theory that Thomas might be brought back because he was sent to the Barry Island scrapyard. That was a place where lots of steam locomotives were saved from scrap and preserved.
Good theory! But as the old saying goes, "Hope for the best, but expect the worst"
Honestly Thomas dying was the saddest moment in any fan made production. Fly high Thomas you sure were iconic 🕊️
I am shocked he killed off a main character and Thomas no less. I really thought only non canon characters would bite the dust but im sad to say that isnt the case here. I truly hope we dont have any more desths on sodor in the coming stories.
Maybe he could come back turning out to be unconscious and just full of green water, his ghost possessing one of his brothers or he losing his memories and becoming child like or as a replica (the rws thomas is gone and the tv series thomas is born).
I can see it as a nod to the fact that the reverend and Christopher didn't enjoy writing the thomas based stories all the time
@@danialhamilton7666 Yes and building a replica thomas is a way to show how popular he is in the tv series.

This is very terrible too

4 months late, but here's something interesting about non-faceless vehicles; their faces disappear when they die. so if Thomas is dead, why does he still have his face, hm?
Calling Mickey a gigachad is an understatement may he rest in peace
Holy hell that was intense! Mickey is a true hero! As for the others, this was a rollercoaster of an episode. Hopefully we get an episode for all those who have fallen. Fabulous episode and season Victor!
The fact that a non-faceless can go through all that pain without dying yet is hard to believe.
My word, this season has gotten crazy! Wonderful job Victor!
You know what Mickey did reminded me of what Lily did to Henry in the Stories of war.
Thomas isn't dead, I believe. I've noticed, that characters who die in the series, are not shown in the intro - but Thomas is still there. Another thing - I believe his story will be similair to that of Barry - the green water knocked him out, but after a while ( and a bump ) Barry woke up. And seeing, as Thomas was taken to Barry scrapyard - a place where engines stood for decades - i believe the last left in 2013. I have seen many people also say, that Thomas will return, and I think so too.
Me too.
He couldn't remove him from the episode intro as it would of been to obvious though.
And we didn’t know he was dead yet
I think thomas is still alive
I pray to God that you're right. We can't lose him.
I wish we got more of an reaction from kate, annie, and Clarabelle. And the fact D199 was sad really drove the point home that this was a tragedy also to set the record straight. Both benson and mickey were completely wiped out. ((Probably because they don't have scrap lookalikes like thomse does)) this is why they didnt get a service. And were probably added to thomas's memorial as a way to remember.
Wow, just wow, this is probably the best season finale you've ever done! The way everything comes full circle in this is amazing, and God that flashback when donald realised was just, I can't really describe it. Also a moment of silence for those we lost this season: R.I.P Geoffery and his crew R.I.P Peter R.I.P Nigel Zorro R.I.Pieces Benson R.I.P Mickey And finally, rest in peace Thomas the tank engine. To quote Derek, he was a good man. He will be missed... And very finally, rest in s**t Shawn creedy. Damn him to hell! Good season victor, you've outdone yourself yet again!
Did you forget to say Rest in Sh*tty pieces Benson Wait oops I didn’t see you said it my bad
I could not disagree with you more. I'm sorry.but this the worst season finale of the stories of sodor. Killing of Thomas is a very stupid, horrible idea. This was not good at all.
@@thomaspresson9070 Good point why would they kill the Number 1 Engine?
I’ve been wondering the same thing
@@oliverhood1732 I feel like we'll see him back before 1984 after all they wouldn't make a TV show about a dead engine.
We finally get to see the Small Railway Engines next season! I've wondered when they would show up since we always saw them in the theme.
My God... You brilliant madlad, you actually committed to taking the series #1 from the story... *Sigh* It's a genuine heartbreak to know Thomas the Tank Engine is well and truly gone from Sodor. Not even Mr. Hall could save him... God rest your soul, Thomas. You'll be well and truly missed by all. A great season overall victor. Granted, there were undeniable hiccups with pacing, but I imagine it was likely unavoidable for reasons you alone know. Solid 8/10. A big swath of lost characters and a main lead...
Actually theirs whispers amongst the comment sections, Barry scrap yard in real life had steam engines sit their for decades the last on left in like 2013, given how much green water their was in his tank… he may be back
Anyone else get the feeling we're watching a most deaths possible speedrun?
And Victor, anything said here is not to dog on you mate! You do great work, keep it up! We all love ya.
wow, this was depressing one of my two favorite characters died in one ep. Victor, you did an awsome job with this series!
Brilliant season! I can’t say anything better than that! Well done…despite losing so many characters in a short amount of time! This was an amazing season!
I'm sorry, but you're crazy.
Seeing Edward with Such a cheerful smile, and an almost crying, but happy tone makes me smile. Rip Thomas Rip Mickey.
9:51 I can only imagine how Kate must've felt seeing her former boyfriend being hauled away on a flatbed to the scrapyard. And who's going to pull Annie and Clarabel now that Thomas is gone?
Maybe Kate or Percy???
On one hand, no...Thomas...On the other hand, mad respect to Victor. Though without him...wonder how this might impact the railway... And Mickey...a brave engine to the end. A good finale to a good season! It feels a bit anticlimactic, but nonetheless, I'm still looking forward to the future!
yes but I'm still angry at him for killing him off, they need to bring him back, get rid of the jinity or having him on the harwick branch or build a replica of him now.

Victor executed this brilliantly, what I mean is the fact he gave us a false sense of hope when Thomas opened his eye and then hit us with a harder sting than we would of gotten if Thomas didn’t show he was alive whatsoever. It is cruel and hits hard permanently but that’s the way a story is done. Edit: I do feel that Thomas’ “body” leaving for Barry Island should of been the last part of the episode then we get to after 1965 and the credits. Edit 2: 9:32 The Last Close Shot of our No. 1… He’s a Really Useful Engine we adore!
This was a great episode I'm going to miss Thomas he was a really useful engine. This was a very bitter sweet season but it was a amazing at the same time.
You are a master when it comes to misteries old chap
I completely forgot about his brother. Now I’m confused on which twin was who during flashbacks but it gave the story a whole twist, very good job
Good to know that the villain of Season 5 is finally revealed. I like how Francis, although an arrogant brat, goes through a small journey of guilt and sympathy. He feels guilty because of what happened to Peter, and sympathetic towards the NWR crew over Thomas' passing. Thomas and Mickey, you will both be missed.
Does he really feel guilty about Peter though?
@@BlooMonkiMan I mean in Revenge, he looked sad after hearing about Peter getting shot.
Not to mention he shared the steam engine's distian for Benson
It Isn't The Same Without Thomas 💔
This has to be the best season of your series so far I remember the first time I ever watched your videos. I was only 16 and I remember watching all of them to present day. I’m currently 19.
This is the most heartbreaking season. Im surprised to hear that Thomas wasn't coming back. I was expecting something to bring him back. This is certainly a turn of events.
This episode and the season have left me speechless. Well done Victor, Excellent job.
I am loving all the mad bomber parallels.
This is the third time in 24 hours seen this and I still can’t get over it. I really thought the story would have Thomas brought to the brink and by some miracle he’d be back. But then I remembered the prologue from earlier in the season and when I saw Annie and Clarabel looking sad I knew the prediction I made earlier turned out to be true no matter how bad I didn’t want it to be true. Bravo to Victor for once again giving us the most engaging Thomas computer model series of the modern era.
Ya got to agree with thos criticisms, cast is way too big but he did have Skarloeys railway practically go a few episodes straight with just them last season or two.
RIP Thomas and Mickey. They were true heros 😢😢😢
Rest in peace, Thomas 😢 Should he ever return for the next new season, then there might be hope after all (or would there?).
As the old saying goes "Hope, but don't expect."
In this universe, the SCP Foundation is canon, and they are no strangers to raising the dead back to life.
Considering the intro is supposed to represent the modern day, and that thomas is seen pulling annie and clarabel near the end of the intro, there’s a slight possibility that thomas could potentially make a comeback. But just like @erinjohnson6142 said, “Hope, but don’t expect.”.
This season was filled with suffering, Geoffrey, Mr zoro, peter, Thomas and mickey, rest in peace
I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I knew we would lose Mickey this season! And yes, Robert's brother was behind it all! Also, something tells me that another Thomas might come to Sodor, a bit similar to when another Arthur came to Sodor.

Didn’t expect to see this in the series! Tbh i expected a like Sodor Fallout story-line.
Gonna Say it, this might just be objectively the best episode of Stories of Sodor Ever. Absolute Master Piece, top tier storytelling. Fantastic job Victor
I totally agree with Mickey having a badass death, absolutely in character for the fire chief simply refusing to let someone else die, R.I.P. Mickey, Thomas and everyone else from this season

When using previous episodes to foreshadow future episodes is amazing. Especially when Donald told Henry who Michael Creedy was, and his family.
