Instead of a Karate Kid rehash they should do a movie about a very young version of Mr. Miyagi that shows everything we learned about his past from the movies and tv show like his war adventures, his early life being trained by his father, his falling out with Sato etc.

They are using a different character as villain , the Mongol , from a comic book I guess. I did hear Bautista is the Kurgan tho ?? No way you can remake original Highlander as is ? As you said Clancy ( Kurgan ) was huge , and amazing . But Fassbender as a Mongol ? Is not Asian ? Even Henry Cavill is too big to be MacLeod . He is 6" taller than original actor Lambert , but he is huge ! The Highlander was not some muscle bound giant but more like a David Vs Goliath character . These remakes are overrated . No way you can recreate the original Highlander . A sad day .....

They should be a funny cameo scene of both actors having some coffee or tea at a cafe' shop just having normal conversations whilst being interrupted in a fight with two lead characters in the movie, where both Lambert and Brown say to each other at the same time "This looks familiar?"

And Brown as a horse carriage coach driver outside of MSG, like Brown who rode on a horse to fight McCloud in the first movie in '86. It's like if both had some similar yet familiar experiences from their past.
I doubt it. Christophe is very against it and Clancy wasn't even in Highlander 2 because they ripped him off and he doesn't even get residuals from it. They would have to throw a bunch of money at them, which is unlikely for a cameo.

The Karate Kid plot is not what ive been hearing at all. Its about a kid who goes to New York and already knows Karate but ends up training an older guy. 3Cfimls channel did a thing about this a while back.

Joker was a complete miss for me. Never understood the fanfare over that movie. Its a depressing slog of a film.
While Highlander may be a bit aged it's still a classic; a move i really love. And yes, Cavill brings the physique and skills to play a believable Highlander. Yet... i'd rather not see the OG movie not being touched or remade.

The John Wick with swords..... That sentence just wiped out 75% of my interest. The left over 25% left the building with the announcement of Fassbender playing Kurgen, and Cavill as the Highlander..... I don't want a "John Wick with swords ". The reason Brown was such an incredible fit is because he looked like someone that would feed children to hungrey dogs, but Fassbender? Fassbender: There can be only one... All the other immortals: "Piss off you wank". It's the same feeling with Cavill. Frankly he looks more like Kurgen the Fassbender, and vide versa. Once again Hollywack thinks the only way to better a movie is with more star power. Really don't understand how they can keep making the same mistakes over and over.

Highlander story should be set during the Roman empires attempt to conquer the Scottish ' barbarians '. Our hero is a Roman commander who leads his army against the Scottish only to be killed in battle by the Scots....he is revived after death and raised by the Scottish and believed to be the promised Highlander for told by God...he is taught the old ways by a pagan Scottish witch and ends up being taught by the mysterious remirez.... another immortal like him ... Remirez tells our hero that he was one of the first immortals and and of our hero's purpose... remirez also says he was one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse who were ravaging the lands of the earth before written record but found peace and LEFT his barbaric past..and his enemy methos is is out to find him and kill him....which he does as our hero barely manages to escape after witnessing the death of his mentor.. Centuries later our hero in the modern Day is an experienced sword fighter immortal and finds out that methos is still alive and trying to assemble a new four apocalyptic gang of immortal horsemen and ask our hero to join him.. WHEN he refuses the game is on for our hero to fight all three for the ultimate prize

Tough luck to the actor playing the bad guy in Highlander, he's an excellent actor but I don't see anyone so much as matching Clancy Brown's Kurgan, much less surpassing him, the dude literally stole the show lol. They already tried to have a cool villain in the sequels, and failed miserably at it

The Highlander reboot is not "eagerly anticipated". Highlander fans have been burned too many times with worsening sequels and seen what Hollywood has been doing to remakes. Just leave the original and the tv Series alone. The only people who want this are the production company that thinks it can squeeze a little more money out of an already squeezed orange. It's also been talked about since 2007 and hopefully will just fizzle out again. "There can be only one"....indeed.

Ah, I see that the Highlander tradition of miscasting actors according to the nationality of the role they're playing continues! Christopher Lambert (Frenchman) played Connor MacLeod, an immortal Scotsman; Sean Connery (an ACTUAL Scotsman) played Ramirez, a Spaniard who was actually an Ancient Egyptian; and now Fassbender (Half German/Half Irish) playing a Mongolian!
All the Asian actors in the world who know martial arts and M. Fassbender is going to play "The Mongol?" Never mind that The Kurgan/Clancy Brown was the best (movie or t.v. show) antagonist ever, but casting Fassbender as an East Asian makes as much sense as when they cast John Wayne as Genghis Khan. Bad call. Really bad call. But at least Henry is playing the haggis muncher.
A biopic is an abbreviation of a biographical picture. A biopic is a biography of a real historical person. A biopic does not always cover the whole life of the chosen person from the beginning to the end. They are going to focus on his human side?? I can accept a movie about his artistic side but not his ’human’ side.

Most of these look like crap. HIghlander looks promising. Monarch, referenced here, is so bad. I had high hopes for it, but the writing is just so bad it's unwatchable. Calling it predictable is a kindness not deserved.
