The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

  • The Sakkari that played against BIanca at the highest level, and the one that played Raducanu are 2 completely different people. Seems Sakkari was afraid to be in her first GS final so she (unconsciously) lost on semis.

    • I can't believe that there are people who can watch this match, then the match against Raducanu and then saying Sakkari was lying when she admitted that she was "absent" in her semi final match. She struggles to close the deal unfortunately, it's going to be a mental hurdle she is gonna have to overcome

    • @@wonderlandian8465 I watched both matches LIVE (because watching only highlights don't give the real feel of the whole match) and Sakkari was not there with Raducanu, not even her powerful 1st serve. Could have been she gave it all with Andreescu and was mentally exhausted, but then again, Leylah Fernandez did it in 4 consecutive matches. Btw, nobody said Sakkari was 'lying'.

      @marianagaoka9687@marianagaoka96872 жыл бұрын
    • @@marianagaoka9687 People were saying that she was trying to discredit Raducanu by saying that she was "absent" in their match. In reality she was being self critical of the fact that she didn't perform when the lights shined brightest , which is a fact.

    • @@wonderlandian8465 I didn't know any of that, who is "people"? I guess it's the haters, the ones that like to put Raducanu on a pedestal already and say she will win more GS than Serena and Margaret Court xDDD. Sakkari is a nice and hard-working athlete (those muscles do not come for free, especially for women) so it's hard to think she meant to say something disrespectful about someone else. I hope she works the mental side (concentration) more and gets to a GS final next year, because physically speaking she's more than ready. Andreescu was completely exhausted on the 3rd set while Sakkari looked so fresh as if the match had just started.

  • That was hard to watch at the end. Probably would have been Andreescu's match if she'd been fully fit.

    • Andreescu was milking the injury there , she was going from running crazy fast during points to falling down and acting all dramatic after the point was finished. Look at this point here for example 28:38 , looks perfectly fine until the point is finished. 29:15 she even did an aggressive split here despite supposedly having a serious thigh injury then popped up like nothing happened until she lost the point and started acting hurt again.

  • Fantastic match, epic in fact! Salute and congratulations to Maria! Love her reaction at 13:56! Maria has this very nice court behavior of giving a sly smile when she returns the ball and her opponent didn't catch or return it! Bianca played well too but to me, she gives an aura of "cockiness" on & off court especially when she wins the match.

  • THEY LAUGH AND SWEAT AT THE SAME TIME, THIS IS THE COMPETITION MODULE, a module already dead for some time and yet this is shown to the general public. Behind THE GIRLS different leeches, taken as in a breeding cage, if they were educated in the family, there would be no need for psychologists, this means that they do not have a psychic background and when you want you unplug and these players died in the sport

  • Sakari is a very mediocre player. if they meet players who don't show their muscles and anger, they would always lose, but this type of game is what globalization calls competition, something that has long since died and has destroyed nations and polluted the world. In fact, the players for the majority, as we can see from the families who are sitting in the stands, are the indestructible sub-proletariat of nations in full economic crisis, some are adopted in Canada or in the UK, globalization saves 1 and lets the others rot.
