Along with black, Wednesday is also all about layers and textures. She covers up all of her pale sick so she doesn't burn. She breaks up the black with pops of white, lace, velvet, leather, etc. And even with the monotone look you can still see her personality pop!

I think they mean that in regards to people who say that in the way of "I'm superior and better than other girls bc I'm different" and I don't believe Wednesday is typically portrayed like that. Along with black, Wednesday is also all about layers and textures. She covers up all of her pale sick so she doesn't burn. She breaks up the black with pops of white, lace, velvet, leather, etc. And even with the monotone look you can still see her personality pop!
