Sorry to say that Emma Hayes came across as a sore loser. The second yellow was clearly so- the stamp was plain for all to see. I understand she was gutted but to blame anyone was not befitting professionalism.
Regarding the Red Card. DAZN feed showed on replay, the view of the incident from the referees angle(approx) and I'm not surprised a 2nd yellow was given. When you are on a yellow, you CANNOT do a one foot lunge near the foot or leg area of a player. It's simply asking for trouble. A damn shame as it's difficult enough to play against Barca with 11 players.

Some people are like that, they blame their own failures on others or on refs. Chelsea were lucky not to be finished off by barca in game one, where barca completely dominated and missed a ton of open chances. Even in the second game barca still controlled the game even though both sides missed chances.
Hayes is so pathetic. First she pushed and denied to say congratulations to Arsenals manager when Chelsea lost to Arsenal. And now Chelsea was robbed in the semi against Barcelona. Every time Chelsea loses she blames others. Yesterday Chelsea lost to a better team....no one was robbed. Hayes has been a very poor manager for Chelsea lately. She spreads negative waves around the team. It is sad to hear her saying Buchanan got he ball - not true at all. Buchanan clearly made a foul. She never got the ball.

Leupolz had to score that chance, that was the moment, but she just got it slightly wrong. The ref's decisions were not wrong but could also have gone the other way. They were definitely not robbed, if you score the really good chances you have, you win the game, simple as that. Emma Hayes is still an amazing coach, despite her totally one-eyed reactions when she loses.

When you see Emma's reaction you understand why Chelsea never won anything important in Europe. It's always somebody else's fault. . She did everything perfectly, but she was always robbed. She is a bad winner and even a worse loser. I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea improved greatly the second she is out of London.

Nah, not exactly outclassed them - but they _did_ have more favourable game stats, nearly twice as many finishes, and higher in expected goals. There is some truth to Chelsea being robbed in this seasons WCL. However, that would be in the group stage, away against Real Madrid. Which likely would not have happened if VAR had been in use at the group stage as well. Buchanan _did_ have contact cleats first on Patri, so the second yellow _was_ deserved. One can rewatch the incident here on youtube, select clow motion and "be your own VAR". Also - while Hayes complained something about "Bonmati leaving her leg behind" - it does _not_ explain how Carter clearly used her right hand to push Bonmati. Into the path of Lawrence. Carter's push is easily seen in replay here on youtube, with Bonmati's torso rotating accordingly. Unfortunately Hayes ends up apperaing to confirm - once again - speculation she's a sore loser.

#14 for Barca is a technically gifted as any dude out there today. I’m not saying she could compete in the men’s game obviously she’s not big, strong or fast enough. But her touch, ability to kill a ball and manipulate it is outstanding.
Hmm, maybe there is a god after all. 1. Emma Hayes makes comments about player player relationships being inappropriate. People get upset, including some of her own players, and 2. she doubles down instead of apologizing. Is the team as cohesive as they were before these comments were made? Maybe not? 3. They lose the conti cup and the first potential trophy is gone. 4. She then acts childishly towards Jonas and again refuses to apologize or acknowlege her immature behaviour and comments. 5. Then they lose in the semi of the FA women's cup and the second potential trophy is gone. Now we're really questioning if she has control of her locker room/team. 6. AKB leaves and goes to the US. She has had some drama with Emma and I'm sure the player player comments didn't help, considering her and Jess. 7. They then now lose to Barca today and the third potential trophy is gone. Honestly, this seems like justice for making those comments and refusing to apologize. I think she underestimated how much saying stupid/unecessary stuff like that can affect a team/team chemistry and by being arrogant and a sore loser (repeatedly), she is getting what she deserves. I really wish she wasn't coming to the US. She's gonna make it very hard to root for them, especially depending on how she decides to handle Korbin Albert, which will be my final metric by which to decide if she has any redeeming qualities at all, though I don't think I will ever truly support her- I never have and probs never will. In terms of Chelsea being robbed, she's just a sore loser. Looking at the stats of the match, Barca outplayed them in every aspect- more possession, more shots, more shots on target, more corners, more passes and a higher passing accuracy, etc. Barca knew what they had to do and they did it. Others have explained why the penalties were correct so I won't add too much there but the better team won overall. I've definitely received a second yellow and subsequent red card for a very similar play so I wasn't surprised at all. Once you have a yellow, you need to play smart and know that the ref is watching your every move and unfortunately for Buchanan, she took a risk and got called for it. Overall, Chelsea had brilliant chances and they missed them, so that's what they need to reflect on in the future.

As a United supporter, I love that Chelsea can't pull off the double. As an American, I'm so happy Emma Hayes is what's coming after...whatever it was Vlatko was doing. So, I'm conflicted on the inside at present.
Chelsea Women need to recruit players with pace in several areas of the team. This is not a criticism of the skill exisiting players have but to really challenge against teams such as Barcelona this is vital. Players such as Johanna Kaneryd, Erein Cuthbert, Mayra Ramirez, Sam Kerr(when fit), Ashley Lawrence have that pace and Guru Reiten and Catarina Macario are valuable assets. Millie Bright as a sweeper is still useful in the team. Aerial ability also lacking up front without Sam Kerr. Experienced players such as Fran Kirby are also a plus. My honest opinions although some may see them as harsh? I've supported Chelsea as a Club and I'm very proud of the Women's Team. With Emma Hayes going and fresh ideas coming in from who knows it's a great opportunity to develop the team. COYB 💙💙💙

Hello Shebahn. I thought after the booking, send on Millie Bright now, before you end up ten players, so not hindsight. Bonmati said they would try to have an influence on what was going on and she and her team were making things happen that the referee had to make decisions on, which went their way. She also made her luck by taking a shot, which got a deflection. Chelsea were unlucky, but maybe Millie could have taken more control? I made comments before about how Aggie Beever-Jones could have been given more fast track into the team this season, in case they needed her to change a big game, which she has the potential for. Here was that game, I reckon.

nobody can argue that officiating wasn't good and massively helped barca. Bonmati was crying about 5 minutes of wasted time, but I think even in that game they should be quite happy with the reff. Also, Ramirez didn't got that pen last game but Bonmati got this one, when Ramirez's one was clearly more of a pen. People argue "robbed" by saying that chelsea didnt't took their chances but barca wasn't clinical with the finishing either. even if they dominated position they never were that threatening. I can't say that barca was a better team in these two games...
No, reff didn't show 4 yellow cards to Chlesea players, invented a lot of fouls (like the no-hand of Engen), etc. The penalty was fair, the two yellow cards were fair, if you don't like the result, blame your bad coach and their shitty tactics. If instead of wasting time you had played football in the first leg, maybe you'd had a higher advantage coming to the 2nd leg. Bye bye, see you next year.
