Allmost no one is playing Kollector at competitive level, so if you will decide to continue this series i guess audience is more interested in Jacqui, Kotal, Tsung, Zero etc. And it's true for me too, but...Deep in my heart i will be waiting for what you can tell about Kollector.

That down 4 is really a tool to keep in mind in the poke range, mixing your b3 up with that and looking for whiffs with the b1 starter you can pretty much control neutral and scorpion can play irritatingly passive if your button fingers don't itch like most scorpion mains' do.
You might have just saved me from abandoning this game. I played Kombat League earlier and ran into THREE Scorpions in a row and declined all of them because that’s the type of shit I’m just tired of. I don’t even play Scorpion because he’s such an over used character. How do you have fun teleporting and death spinning 100’s of times? Somebody paid $65 to literally play Scorpion and pull that same shit over and over again? Thank you so much for this video because A LOT of people needed this, especially learning to play against him. Another character I’ll request is Kitana. She’s definitely another character I struggle with against scrubs.

As a Scorpion main myself a lot of people suck with him. I tend to do mistakes, but 95% of players do it on purpose and don't even realize it. Hopefully people improve with him or everyone with a functioning brain will just get easy Ws off of them

Nice vid lad 😏 Hope your message reaches the necessary audience, as on PC, 99% of Scorpion players (save for a VERY few) do "Death Spin" on wake up, on reversal, on round start, on lunch, on toilette, etc. Alongside with teleport. 🤪 As per talking about the game, could you please summarize a thought about the 20% damage bonus of 'FlawlessBlock' wake up counter and punish, short hop usefulness/uselessness or/and some unique ability pair-ups that can be found in the game? 😏 Like Lao "Vortex + Air Teleport" gives access to "Air Vortex" Or simply a little Rain video 😁 Keep up the good work!

If you use burning spear and use f32 in death spin it does 10% chip which allows you to chip out your opponent much earlier than you would think, it’s actually pretty broken in those late game situations
It's also an anti-air. Not very damaging but it's easy to do (no timing involved).

Death spin is only useful when u used 2 bars and u can end the combo using death spin, because death spin has more damage than any of special move scorpion has

Bro I jus hopped off and this popped up lol. I’m not really super good but I can convert like shit and some beginner ass scorpion almost ended my streak today w that damn circle spin move I hate the absolute fuck out of it because in the match, not only did he realize it’ll anti air and always catch me, he realized if I block the first one, he’ll catch me if he does it again immediately after. I never had to adapt so quick in my life but I did somehow jus cuz he didn’t really know what to do after getting knocked since the spin move will carry literally everyone. I play like 2 other characters but I can never not use Shang Tsung against a scorpion. Ever since I got on this game, I understood the hate for scorpion but my only beef is almost every character but him can get caught by shake. It’s like the developers literally made him the main character cuz there a 40% chance ur jumping over the spear and no counter proj for it (to my knowledge) I don’t blame anyone for playing tho because if ur a beginners it’s just an easy way to get wins but the smoke parry thing jus gets under my skin😭

i'm still seeing players with 2000+ matches mashing death spin so much so you see endless full screen down 4s as they dont understand recovery. but then i also understand because they do net wins this way and thats all they care about if they lose they move on and find a match where it does work and they are back to thinking they are gods lmao. this is the general playerbase of mk11.

Thanks for this, I faced a sub yesterday and everything I tried to stagger with f3 he kept catching me with a d1. Looking at this though I feel completely screwed going on with scorpion, the scrubs always get me.
Sub is one of the few characters with a 6f poke. And the moves/combos you were using might've been minus. You'll only be uninterrupted if you're plus.
@@smoothsavage2870 yeah but f3 gets poked before I can even go back to blocking, I literally hold block right after inputting f3.
@@bloodandbonezzz0 F3 has a 13f startup too. If a Sub is just poking you with D1, you're gonna lose that battle.

Its an ok punisher for some things because its fast, but no Scorpion really uses it

10:00 i dont think its 50/50 since you can just wait and see + react with button to plus frames ender and will block the string ender which comes out fast . Its very slow and as you said you can hit him out of it
You can’t flawless block one, while blocking the other, it’s 50% chance scorpion will be +
except that it’s still a 50/50 on plus frames because scorpion’s 2-1 string is plus 2 on block. so if your gameplan is to react to the 2-1-2 and hold block on 2-1-2+4 they can just stay plus whenever they want. now it’s a mindgame of whether or not they are gonna stagger or finish, which leads to either plus frames or a knockdown

You cant react to 212 and block 21 2+4, thats the point, he either gets the knockdown or + frames in this situation every time, the 2+4 in the string perfectly covers the gap
I kinda desagree about the Hack And Slash combo (Death Spear Kombo ability) I mean it the oponent likes duking, I could call that a good kombo to thouse guys and it can be also Special Canceled to another moves, I like to ro the regular spear and I normaly do 17% I think
There’s no reason to duck that at all, there’s no low threat, f32 isnt used by anybody good on block for a reason.

I hate that I still main this neutered character. He has the most basic kit and game plan to date. Not to mention combo and special list. Give me midtier MK9 Scorpion over Top 10 MKX and A tier MK11 Hanzo anyday.
scorpion isn’t top tier in mk11 by any means but he’s definitely solid. in high level play he’s definitely execution heavy.
How about just learning some new characters? How hard is it to just explore the roster?
