Sarah & Mitchell always argue over which is better: vegan or non vegan food. So we decided the only logical solution was to let a raccoon decide.
In this video, Piper the Raccoon will try 5 different foods (marshmallows, Doritos, whipped cream, ice cream, and Cheez Its) to decide once and for all, if vegan food is just as good as the non-vegan version.

Naw... I eat vegan these days, and there have not been any 'vegan Dorito' replacements that taste/smell as good as Doritoes yet.

I've always wondered. We watch our racoons visits every night eat our offerings. Marshmallows and peanut butter sandwiches win. This year we have 3 adults 4 babies. 2 groundhog 1 has a baby. 1 possum 2 baby possums 1 skunk

Did you ever notice how they rub the food so much. They need water to better identify the foods. They use their paws as sensors to all different types of food. They use touch like us humans use our eyes for food. ❤️ please try putting out a bowl of water with the food you give them. It will improve their experience so much! ❤️

People usually go vegan on concerns of health, environment, or animal treatment. Not sure if anyone does it cuz they think vegan food is 'better'. As far as animals' diets, definitely a qualified sources should be consulted, as far as vegan vs. non vegan, or junk food in general. E.g., Humane Society says cats require animal based food.

I hope you see this, but I have a male raccoon of my own. He keeps repeatedly peeing on me and ONLY despite knowing he has a little box. He's done it 3 times today alone. Does it mean anything? I know you might not be an expert but I was hoping you knew a little more than me.
why does piper choose the vegan option sometimes...because they have the highest sugar content needed for energy..your vegan and gluten free stuff have added sugars..so if you're gaining weight or have trouble losing it on a vegan or gluten free diet now you know...some of the vegan and gluten free stuff has added fat also a favorite of animals. this should be called "watch PIper find the sugar".
I just looked at the packaging and the non- vegan marshmallows had more sugar in them than the vegan marshmallows
Also, both cheez-its had 0 grams of sugar. Extra fun fact: regular cheez its are 150 calories for 30 grams. Vegan cheez its are 100 calories for 28 grams.
