Jack Edwards is a Bruin legend; many opposing team fans don't like the way he calls games for the Bruins, but I hope they would take the time to learn and understand his story and how much of a friend and how much he is loved by Bruins nation and everyday fans. The fact he had to retire due to his condition where his speech is unexplainably disabled, which he has said is a mystery to doctors, and the fact he is way too young to need to retire normally, is heartbreaking to all of us as Bruins fans, and even if you don't like his style when announcing, I would hope against hope opposing team fans would at least pay him respect and acknowledge his situation. I would love to see opposing fans post and let him know they are thinking of him and wish him a recovery, he looks at these posts and will most certainly look at this and any replies. I know how important of a guy like Maroon is in the locker room, gives me Recchi vibes but with less pure talent. It was just a hard thing to swallow when it first got announced because of the St. Louis team and the Tampa team when they knocked the Bruins out.
