So they should definitely start drafting some goalies soon and grab some money to get a good goalie in free agency. And at this point I won't even start talking about Oilers D.

His positioning shows that he lacks confidence in his defense. The second goal he was way too deep in his net, which assumes he doesn't have faith in the d-man covering the back door man. Honestly, I think Matt Murray's numbers are a product of his lost confidence and the defense around him. He's a goalie who plays well in a certain system, like Brodeur.

Funny how Ottawa talked about themselves before the seasons as "ready to win the cup". I didn´t see and still don´t see it. :) The closest they were to winning a cup was one of the most impressive individual efforts of any playoff ever by Erik Karlsson.

as a long time sens fan this game was a microcosm of my worst nightmare before the season started, Murray is overrated and there is nothing behind him and then the Defense sucks. and the offense is still developing. at least Josh Norris looks like he is panning out as a solid top 6 forward I guess. I honestly hope Sanderson turns out to be good but I feel like Drysdale is the better Defenseman.

Edmonton ain't going nowhere until they learn to play defense. You can't rely on only scoring and think your gonna hoist a cup. This isn't the 80s Oilers. And even when needed that team could play defense. Or had Fuhr to steal games. And this damn sure isn't 80s NHL.

For the last half-decade, Ottawa has sold everything of ANY value at the trade deadline. This, they tell the fans is "a rebuild." You know, a rebuild that restarts every year and doesn't need any continuity. I wonder if the fans have figured out they are being duped?

It very well could be. Crowd noise has always been stimulated or at the very least enhanced.
We learned 2 things tonight Skinner is not an NHL goalie yet Ottawa is not an NHL team yet

His positioning shows that he lacks confidence in his defense. The second goal he was way too deep in his net, which assumes he doesn't have faith in the d-man covering the back door man. Honestly, I think Matt Murray's numbers are a product of his lost confidence and the defense around him. He's a goalie who plays well in a certain system, like Brodeur.

goaltending is about 50% of your game, its 100% of your game if you don't got one. I feel that Zamboni driver/ goalie, could have done better than all 3 of the goalies on the ice.

Sens scored more goals in this game against the oilers then they did in three games against the Canucks. oilers offence is good but their defence and goal tending suck also sens at least their was no quite they fought back hard to make it a closer game

Funny how Ottawa talked about themselves before the seasons as "ready to win the cup". I didn´t see and still don´t see it. :) The closest they were to winning a cup was one of the most impressive individual efforts of any playoff ever by Erik Karlsson.

as a long time sens fan this game was a microcosm of my worst nightmare before the season started, Murray is overrated and there is nothing behind him and then the Defense sucks. and the offense is still developing. at least Josh Norris looks like he is panning out as a solid top 6 forward I guess. I honestly hope Sanderson turns out to be good but I feel like Drysdale is the better Defenseman.
