With my bees in Kansas, they build new comb about 2 deep frames a week. I am only a 2nd year bee keeper so i don't have a lot of comb saved up.

  • Hi I have gone through you videos and you have it all sorted out. I have approximately 150 production hives and learnt some tricks from you. I am leaving assembled hives throughout winter 3 x 10 frames and I kind of overfeed them. From that I gain some extra strength and no need to feed during spring. My question is: Would you move to two brood chambers for overwontering if you had bigger storage, truck and bigger logistics possibilities?

  • How many hours of sunlight are you getting a day? I'm asking this because my wife and I just returned from our vacation in Alaska and the amount of daylight was amazing. Your added daylight also allows for longer foraging time. I'm amazed at the amount of honey you are producing and I'm pretty sure you're getting a lot of extra daylight. Congratulations on an excellent crop.
