  • He said Jon Jones is paid so well he hasn't fought in 3 years but 2 seconds later he says he just did an 8 fight deal with Jon Jones who was sitting out over a money issue 🤣🤣🤣🤣 cut the crap Dana

    • Jones had enough money to live comfortably for three years then he wanted to return to fighting and make some money cause he faced an incident that took a large portion from his money and left him almost no cash in the bank . He either had to sell property and things he owned or return to ufc if they accepted him and some quick cash to balance his financial sheets .

  • Dana: "why do you think Jon jones could take 3 years off?" Also Dana white: "jon just signed a 8 fight deal because he was having money issues." Dana really said that in the same podcast wtf 😂😂😂😂

    • Over money issues means they were negotiating a contract not Jon Jones was struggling with money issues.

  • Top of the card does ok. Everybody else is in the meat grinder. Sport needs collective bargaining bad.

    • Everybody else isnt pulling ppv buys or putting asses in seats. How are you gonna pay them more than what theyre worth? Its not as simple as collective bargaining. Most of the prelim fighters are happy to be there cuz they know theyre not draws.

    • That’s how it is for every combat sport. The under card fights are basically still in the minor league so they get paid as such

    • @@Rio-un5jl UFC cares MUCH LESS about gate and PPV buys now that they have the ESPN deal. It would help their product if guys didn’t need second jobs imo. With that being said, the product gets worse is EVERYONE is making NBA type money, nobody will want to fight😭

  • Not for nothing, last five fights for Francis Ngannou, he was paid for each fight 200,000 to 350,000 Francis Ngannou got paid 600,000 for the Gane fight. Francis Ngannou left the UFC was released from his contract, and is now getting ready to make a minimum of 10 million dollars and possibly more for just one fight. It makes me a little pissed off because MMA is more dangerous than boxing and fighters are putting their lives on the line, and getting paid peanuts by the UFC. I say all fighters should get attorneys and leave the UFC and go get the real money like Francis Ngannou has done.

    • You’re confusing guarantee money and total pay outs. Guarantee money was 300-600k … with pay per view % he made over a million +. Legacy fighters and champions get paid a guarantee purse plus they get a percentage of pay per view sales. For example Connor mcgreggor made guaranteed 900k some fights but it turned to 10 million after the ppv share payouts

      @pitchbuckets2860@pitchbuckets28604 ай бұрын
    • Francis is also not around real money , he is around leveraged debt. The PFL is using debt to offer big pays on star power. Example Tyson fury and Francis only sold 67,000 pay per views but Francis made a few million dollars once you include Tyson’s purse and all of the other expenses ,the event was not profitable. This is not a sustainable business model, it’s a play on debt to gain traction to another league / organization. Eventually this business module will crumble if it paid more than the company makes per event. Paying Francis was a business move and will not apply for very long and to other big name fighters

  • The top guys in every sport get the huge money and it trickles down except maybe in NBA and soccer where it seems everyone gets good money. There are plenty of boxers who get only 2,000 for a fight

    • Compared to the UFC and most sports especially Rugby (which I play and aspire to be paid😭) Nfl players make a ton like practice squad players (players who can't make the official team and come in to compete for roster slots and literally do nothing excpet train with the team earn over 200k for the 18 weeks they practice with the team and they are the lowest of the low in the league paid even worse than 7th round rookies and UDFAs
