For the final installment of the 3-part Dana White series, Dana walks us through the many ups and downs of building the UFC, ending in the record setting $4B sale in 2016. In this episode, he touches on his upbringing and passion for the fight business- including the fortuitous path to partnering with the Fertitta brothers and how they almost chose to shut down the business early on. Furthermore, he discussed operating the business during Covid, his constant battle with the media and his insatiable appetite to win at all costs and silence the haters. And lastly, what's next for the UFC and what Dana is especially excited about in the fight business in the coming years.

  • Never heard Dana White talk about this stuff before. I got goosebumps when he was describing that wedding, then buying the UFC in 1996. They turned something so small into something that is now too big to fail. This should give motivation to everybody, anything is possible if you want to achieve it.

    • There's a lot of luck involved though. The same guy might miss those opportunities and never break through. Like he said "timing"

    • @@Mcfc2Rich: Tenacity and hard work tend to create “luck”. Timing helps, but not just any entrepreneur would have created what Dana White has created even if they had the same benefit of timing. A multitude of other things had to fall into place through good decision making and willingness to take risk to achieve the vision he had for the company.

  • People always say dana white is this and that of a person in the media talking crap. But all i see is a man who have been honest with him self and to others majority of his life. His humbleness is what surprises me the most after who he became to be. Amazing human being

  • I chose to write a paper in High School on Dana White in 2007 for successful entrepreneurs who motivated us to strive to be like them and told the class that you may not know his name but in due time you will. He's in the process of legitimizing and turning cagefighting into one of the biggest powerhouses in the sports industry in the next decade and it's called the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

  • Pay your fighters more than 15-20% of revenue share and stop trying to pass legislation to kill fighter rights and competition, your top execs took home like 300 million in profits EACH and they only been with the company since the 2016 merger or whenever it happened, you have fighters from pre-2016 still in competition right now and making 50k to show 50k to win - corporate greed always wins in the end though doesn't it? Just look at the shit state of the world we are currently in.
