The statement about the cats feeling the P wave of an earthquake before it happens...is Similar to that elephant in Indonesia that took the tourist to high ground before the tsunami hit....the people riding the elephant were wondering why the elephant was disobeying the handlers directional orders.Then realized after all the destruction,what the elephant was actually doing.

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Throughout history, Chile has become one of the countries with the highest seismic activity in the world. In fact, in 1960 it suffered the most serious earthquake that has been recorded in the world to date with a magnitude of 9.6 Mw, with 10 minutes long. It was May 22, 1960 when the southern part of the country suffered a strong earthquake in the Arauca peninsula. This situation was repeated on a similar scale 24 hours later, causing a tsunami on the Calle-Calle river of Valdivia that flooded the towns of Concepción and Chiloé.

We have many earthquakes in Chile and their overall magnitude are large but the ground acceleration (localized measure of movement at specific locations) are very often much lower than much smaller earthquakes elsewhere. So our earthquakes are not necessarily "the worst" in terms of impact on buildings and people. We do however have a history with constant tsunamis, ranging from small (take boats and boathouses, and cleans out harbours) and large that enter further inland like 2010. Tsunamis occur with almost all major earthquakes on our underwater fault and the difference is really just a question of how large. Which is why we should start relocating coastal towns to the hills especially public services such as health centres, schools, police and fire stations shouldn't be located in inundation zones as they are today. Almost half of Valparaíso and Viñas emergency and police services are located in the inundation area, which means emergency response capacity will be halved in case of major tsunami. In other words when you most need them they will be crippled.

I experienced an 6.8 earthquake when I was in Algeria in 2003 and I know what our friends in Syria and Turkey are going through now. I wouldn't wish it to my worst enemy. My heart goes out to my Syrian and Turkish compatriots in these very difficult circumstances. May Allah have mercy on them and on all of us.

6:50 I still clearly remember the quake. It was also felt in our province, which is a considerable distance from where it really happened. It was summer vacation at the time, and me and my cousin were playing Minecraft on the second floor of our house. The ground suddenly shook and when it stopped, we were like, "WTF was that?", and quickly went downstairs. Once we went downstairs, the neighborhood was filled with buzz about what just happened. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there weren't any significant damage to property.
Residing in Alaska, I experienced the 2018 earthquake, which struck incredibly close to my home. Just a quick correction: Anchorage isn't the capital; it's Juneau. Thankfully, most areas suffered minimal damage, though additional issues emerged in the following years. Our structures adhere to earthquake standards, ensuring no loss of life despite the challenges

I was still in highschool back then, luckily I was being home schooled when it happened though, my ex wife wasn’t so lucky as she was in the school bathroom when it struck.
life is so short… seeing these clips when everyone is running together towards the same direction for safety the surveillance stops right there security guards leaving their stations like everyone else, it’s worthwhile to know that we shouldn’t judge every person we see as a potentially bad person, it’s got so unsettled in the world where we don’t think good of anyone anymore. these tragedies show us that life is fragile and we should really learn to treat each-other much better with respect and love ❤️

I think in all of my time at school in the Midwest, I can only remember 2 times where we all did an earthquake drill. Tornadoes thought, weekly. 😅

That Earthquake in Kathmandu (25th April 2015) also affected North and Eastern India, i was on the 4th floor at my school and i remember my whole building shaking with the earthquake of magnitude 7.7, the earthquake horrified me so bad i couldn't sleep that night as i talked to some of my relatives who were facing crisis in Nepal. The earthquake again hit us after 2 days (27th April) with a magnitude of 7.5-7.7 School and colleges were shut down for a few days. And again after a few days (12th May) the shaking came back with a magnitude of 7.3 Seriously those days were one of the most horrifying experiences of my life
I was in Rishikesh and we felt many tremors. I was staying on the bottom floor of a hotel. I didn’t sleep much for days.

Bruh l live in KTM and that shit was truly traumatizing. l was in grade 6 that time . Well earthquake really destroyed Nepal . Not only that, India blocked gas supply for Nepal after few months which lasted for 2-3 months. Just imagine the suffering Nepalese people got.
I was so young that time my mother was pregnant with my lil brother and couldn't run so my father went to help her while my aunt took me downstairs and across the road in the huge play area I was crying and praying to gadnesh which I was holding in my hand tightly and the same day my mother was taken to Patan and hospital where my bhauju (sis in law) worked because it was time for my brothers due date too so my father and my mother were at the hospital and although I was rly close to my aunt like she was like my second mom I still wanted to be in my mother arms where I felt safe and with my father but even though my aunt was there I still feel like I had to experience that gorkhali earthquake on my own but I am truly grateful to my aunt and thulo baba who still put me first risking their life and not sleeping until I slept especially my aunt just wish I could say that to her now but sadly she isn't here anymore

did you see into the future? 2 days after you posted there has been a big 7.8 earthquake in Turkey that was felt as far away as Cyprus ...sadly there has been a large loss of life as it happened in the early hrs when everyone was in bed ....R.I.P to all those that have lost their lives in turkey and Syria in this awful quake!

Along with my family, we experienced that earthquake in Clark. We just exited the Clark Airport moments before the earthquake occured and we were already inside the van as we are on our way back to Metro Manila. I could tell you how intense the earthquake was inside the van. I could compare that earthquake to driving into a very damaged road on high speed. The earthquake lasted about 5 seconds or more. That was my first time experiencing that such earthquake. Thankfully, we got out from the Clark Airport just before the earthquake occurred. The intensity of the earthquake made some structures in the airport to fall apart. Thankfully, no one died during that event.
I felt and heard the Northridge quake in California before it happened in 1994. It literally felt like we were dropping and going side to side three to four feet at the same time. There's just nothing you could ever imagine other than maybe being in a boat at Sea with the roughest Waters while being in an elevator dropping at the same time to even get your mind slightly around what it's like.
You can't feel and hear an earthquake before it happens. Once you felt and heard something, it was already happening . . .

Well, I felt and heard it before it happened. It literally sounded like the Earth crunching, several moments before we even started to shake at all. I also see a lot of things in dreams before/when they happen. I'm on par with the animals with these natural disasters as far as sensing things. And not just natural disasters. Not saying it's a great gift to have, but yeah, I woke up before because I heard it. People just get on and troll to say negative things just to say negative things. Probably don't remember this, or never was taught this coming but if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I'm not here to prove to anybody what has happened. I also predicted a great many things in the pandemic including how long people would be in masks, how many people would die, and about the vaccines. Like I said, it does not always feel like a great gift to have, but I am grateful for it. I'm predicted a great many things, Christians call it the gift of prophecy. Whether the actual crunching sound was part of my gift or some scientific explanation as to a sound that is heard before the rumbling, I'm not 100% sure. I just know that everyone in our building that woke up with the shaking, some were already up and nobody heard the sounds that I described.
I went through the Loma Prieta Quake in 1989. Yes, there was a loud rumble as the earthquake rocked towards my neighbor hood. The movement was almost like a large wave in the ocean. I could see large trees rocking back and forth.
I live in Alaska and went through the 2018 earthquake. It was very close to my house. Small correction, Anchorage is not the capital, that's Juneau. We were very fortunate that the damage was minimal almost everywhere. In the intervening years since then more damage has come to light but our buildings are built to earthquake specs and there was no loss of life.

Experiencing an earthquake is the weirdest feeling. I have been through many of them and it is still the strangest feeling.
After one rather large earthquake, it felt like the ground was constantly moving, for months afterward.
I am impressed with how Japanese and Chinese people are trained to remain calm during this difficult time, In Casablanca, Morocco the last earthquake wasn't strong here in the city, but once I felt something wrong I started running hitting lightspeed 🤣.. 2 seconds and i was outside. I think we all should be trained like this, it could save lives.

I lived in Great falls Montana, hours before the Alaska earthquake began, my cat very emphatically began moving her kittens from my main floor bedroom to a corner of our basement. She was normally very calm but she remained nervous until that earthquake had struck so far away.
I remember seeing pictures of the Alaskan earthquake when I was little, and I thought the biggest danger was falling into the big crack in the earth until I was an adult. It was kind of a surprise to learn falling debris was the real threat.
Cracks open up east to west so get on a tree that fell north to south.
My grandma told me about the earthquake (I’m native Alaskan)
I still remember the earthquake and tsunami in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. We felt it all the way to West Sumatera, Padang. I dont remember the actual number of the EQ but it was one of the worst i've ever felt, and there were several when I was growing up there. We were all sleeping on the street that night, no school, no work. And then there was aftershock like a few days after, we were at school. Teacher gathered us outside, and when it calmed down, we were sent home. Eq still terrifies me to this day. Watching this vids make my body cold :(
I have only been in earthquakes in the 4 range, but they were plenty terrifying. There is something fundamentally wrong when the earth beneath you is having a seizure!

I felt this earthquake that was in Romania a few days ago. It was mild here in Belgrade, but still a very uncomfortable feeling. The first thing I did was look at my cat who was chilling on the radiator. When I saw her looking at me with that relaxed face I knew that the earthquake was weak at our distance. Now watching this, I really hope never to experience this.
I experienced the first earthquake, which mainly effected everywhere south of Izmir and North of Didim more; all along the coast and slightly inland.

1994 Northridge (CA) Earthquake....I've been through many earthquakes growing up in California, but the 1994 quake was horrifying. With a vertical lift, it knocked over most all of the furniture in our home, walked our piano across the carpet to the center of the room, and nearly demolished our 8 yr old's bedroom. I couldn't even get to her because the doorway was blocked.
I remember that day quite well! A college football recruiter was coming to our house to offer my son a full ride scholarship the next day. This was his first earthquake. He said the hotel he was staying in swayed so much, he felt like it would tip over. My son didn’t take that scholarship, he went with a different school. I’m a native Southern Californian, so I remember all the quakes!
I was living in Reseda at the time. It was terrifying. The aftershocks were bad too.
I was in Las Vegas when the shock wave went through from that quake. I worked at night and was asleep at first, but woke up when my bed started dancing across the floor. I sat up but had to lie back down because it felt like I was having a stroke . It was my first earthquake and I wasn't sure I'd like to ride out anymore, or be near the epicenter of one. Sometime later, there was an earthquake in St. George, Utah, that I had to ride out when the shock wave came through, but that was easier to handle, as I saw the wave coming. It's a wonder, as strong as the Northridge wave was, that there was no real damage to any of the hotels or casinos in Las Vegas.
@@jacklow9611 You should of felt it here, we lived less than 20 miles from the epicenter. There are different types of earthquakes. Some are more rolling, some are a jiggle, some sway more and then there was the vertical lift of the Northridge quake. It was like someone was picking up the ground and quickly jerking everything up and down. Blood curdling for me. My husband was trying to keep me from running out of the room, but I had to get to our daughter. Dishes and glassware were falling on top of me as I ran through the kitchen. Adrenaline baby! I'll withstand ANY kind of quake that isn't a vertical lift:(

The St. George earthquake was easier to get through because I could see the wave coming so I just sat down and rode it out as the building I was in (much of it glass) rose ahead of me, then around me, and then behind. It was like riding a small rollercoaster there for a minute.
I was at home during the Alaskan earthquake, the floors looked like rolling waves in the ocean and the earthquake lasted about 3 minutes, I still get paranoid to this day when I feel small tremors.

I have been through one earthquake, it was something like a 4-4.5 or so, was only a few miles from the epicenter, but it wasn’t bad for us. There was some minor damage to some places, mostly things like plates falling or things. This was back in maybe 2014 or 2015. The thing is, this happened near Galesburg, Michigan. Earthquakes just don’t happen in Michigan, so I honestly had no idea what it was. Felt the same as the passenger train that went by right next to the house I lived in at that point. A 4.5 isn’t too big though. Just strange that it happened in Michigan.

I was in the Northridge earthquake.There will be thousands of aftershocks that spans months lol. Ive heard of over 400 in one day! Humans only feel some of those, but the poor animals felt them all.

I have only experienced an Earthquake once, it was early in the morning at home and my house made odd noises as it was shaking but not enough that I could feel it, very scary even though it was just about 4 magnitude, nothing broke
I was less than two miles from the epicenter of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. That motion in two directions is what we got, after one huge shock, it was two earthquakes from different directions. Our hot tub emptied half its water. Our home is older and made mostly of wood, which helped it stay up. Brick homes up the hill from us didn't do so well, one fell down the hill and all that was left was the roof of the garage, everything else tumbled down the hill.

Even today I wonder how more than half a dozen books from a shelf ended up deep under the mattress I was sleeping on. 4:31am Northridge CA earthquake.. Imagine the force, I had just moved to a 6th floor on Sepulveda Blvd a bit south of Ventura, 2 people on a mattress on the floor (about 350 lbs). I remember waking up to being lifted clear off the ground and slammed back down at least 3 times. It was brutal and the shaking so violent, that the first few seconds I had no idea what was causing it. I remember finding unbroken, some still neatly piled up plates, that had to clear the bar table area and landed on the carpet at least 20 feet away from the cabinets in the kitchen. I mean, the weird physics of seismic stuff...
Man my respect for the cameras for not falling of when the earthquake struck. I kinda feel bad for people who have suffered in the earthquake. If I had a country and any country ahs a problem with earthquake, I would help them immediately ❤️

@@marlafowler3543 kinda, but not at the same time. Yes, in some countries they are taught to duck under tables, in others they are taught to stay beside a table in the called triangle of life. Also, you are taught that sometimes you can't even do that and you will just *know it* so your best chance it's to immediately evacuate. And then you have to think about the sea and how close you are to it since you need to be in a safety zone (always upwards: to the last floor of a high building or to the highest ground) by ten minutes or less before the first wave hits. Oh, and let's not forget if this is a country with earthquake culture because that will also improve your chances of survival. For example, Chile and Japan have earthquake proof constructions (don't build wood houses like the United States) so your only focus is to remain calm and evacuate but in countries where earthquakes aren't common then you also need to consider that the building you are in will most likely fall beneath your feet.

I've only been through one Earthquake in my life, and it was more the aftershock than the quake. It says something that my neighborhood (which was pretty small and rural at the time) thought it was an incompetent worker. We found out it was an earthquake after my dad later said they had evacuated his highrise. That was a fun conversation with the neighbors😆
1989 Loma Prieta (7.5) 1992 Landers (7.3) 1994 Northridge (6.7) and of course all the after shocks and various other Earthquakes. There is nothing more interesting than running out a building with drop ceiling tiles and coil ducts crashing down around you. The scary part is all those occurred over a 5 year period and I have have been back in Earthquake country since 2012. Things are about to get interesting here in California....you just can't go that long without a major quake. Strangely the one that hit the Ridgecrest area, I was near, but didn't feel...weird.

I live in Wellington, New Zealand so quakes are pretty normal for us. I did have to smile at the we can't feel the waves that cats can feel, no but some of us have bodies that sense something in the buildup to it. Each quake leadup I start to feel shaky & really off center is the only way I can explain it such as when you've been ill. Then in the last few hours lead-up it gets worse until the quake strikes, then it goes or if I'm no longer close to where it hits the feeling goes also. I have no idea what causes it or why but I've now learnt to recognize the feelings. It can still be freaky if I've been away or go away & suddenly get it with no buildup.

I have lived in Anchorage Alaska since 2018 of September and I was on my way to school when the earthquake happened, luckily, I was in a car and nobody in my family got hurt but when I got home, my whole TV was knocked over. It was a 7.1
I've experienced many Earthquakes in Christchurch, New Zealand. One thing I learned, you can hear it coming, like a rumble from a distance before the main shaking starts couple seconds later....

I was in the earthquake today it was bad
I hate earthquakes. I live in a seismically active area of the US today but moved here from a much quieter area so my first quake was rather frightening. What scares me most is the unpredictability of quakes. Where I grew up and lived prior to my move we have devastating hurricanes and tornadoes but you at least get some warning when they're about to strike, even if it's only ten minutes. Earthquakes come out of the blue with no warning and before you realize what's happening half of your possessions are on the ground and you notice the trees in the front yard are whipping back and forth as though in a very high wind. One time I had a horse who had lived almost his entire life here in the PNW and when the Nisqually quake started. he literally turned and faced the epicenter just as it hit and surfed the visibly rippling ground. The experience just about made me wet myself but when the quake was done, he calmly resumed what we were doing as though there had been no interruption. That old horse had nerves of steel and a laid-back attitude.

This EarthQuake happend in my state. The 2001 Gujarat earthquake, also known as the Bhuj earthquake, occurred on 26 January at 08:46 am IST. The epicentre was about 9 km south-southwest of the village of Chobari in Bhachau Taluka of Kutch District of *Gujarat, India.* The intraplate *earthquake measured 7.6* on the moment magnitude scale and occurred at 17.4 km (10.8 mi) depth.[1] It had a maximum felt intensity of X (Extreme) on the Mercalli intensity scale. The earthquake *killed 13,805 to 20,023 people* (including 18 in southeastern Pakistan), injured another *167,000 and destroyed nearly 340,000 buildings.*
Very well acquainted with earthquakes here. Christchurch NZ 2010 - 7.1 mag very shallow earthquake and god knows how many aftershocks. Then another 6+ in 2011 that was a killer and basically destroyed the city. Over $100,000 of damage to my house. Over 3 years waiting for repairs. As for the video with the cats, we heard the quakes coming before the shaking, everyone would stop and wait for it to start. Got so used to them, that I was sitting at the table having a conversation and heard one coming, so just picked up my coffee so it wouldn't spill, and we just kept talking through it. Would have been about a 5 mag. Also used to guess strength, depth, and epicenter, got surprisingly accurate at it.
Someone i know died from that quake. I just saw her pictures all over the news, she was from the philippines
Poor cats who couldn’t run away! I’m glad nothing bad happened to them. Here in Eastern part of canada we do get earthquakes multiple times a year but they are so small that we don’t feel them. I’m in my 40 and i only felt 2-3 in my whole life.

@@rebeccacox2796 well it was 4:18 am I was texting my friend then suddenly my closet started to moving slowly then my bed BUT IT GOT HARDER they moved roughly the whole house was shaking I gathered with my family and we started shouting in fear when it stopped we immediately went out, about the feeling idk what to say it feels unreal I thought i was dreaming at first!

Yeah, at first it's just weak shaking then later on it's already hard to balance yourself specially when you are in upper floor because I experienced a 6.1 magnitude earthquake and before it happened, I heard a sound like thunder under the ground and it just started shaking. There are lots of after shocks too so the sound was really traumatizing.
Puerto Rico had one too. January 6 of 2020… the EQ was 6.7 if I am not mistaken. It was so horrible with my husband, my 2 kids, my mother in law and my two sisters in law… I was wide awake and took my 2nd child and my husband almost leave my 1st child on the bed 🤦🏻♀️ and weeks later still with earthquakes I found out I was pregnant cause I was bleeding with 4-7 weeks 🥹

Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. I live in Virginia & a few years I experienced a small earthquake. It was strange to have one here.
Earthquake is as a result of punishment from Allah Allah says Al-A'raf 7:91 فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دَارِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.
I’m from the Philippines and that 6.1 magnitude was very big it shook my house and the source of the earthquake was near our city
Earthquakes can show how good the customer services is at Walmart. My mother ducked under a counter during one and an employee ask her if she needed help. When I moved to San Jose my boss having english-as-a-second-language found it easier just to do a hula hula dance and point to one of the always opened dock doors. I think the scary thing about being where an earthquake is, when it begins, you don't know just how strong its going to get and if that moment is going to be your last
You do know the maximum it can be, though. The maximum possible magnitude of an earthquake is determined by the length of the fault line it's on. As for whether you'll survive, that really depends on where you are and how well the buildings and structures around you were built. Either they're engineered to the maximum possible earthquake for the location and you're fine, or they're not and you're at risk.

2:12 yeah as if you know how someone will react in a situation like that. It must've been terrifying. I'll also probably run for my phone after a couple of seconds seeing that the building is not collapsing LOL I'd want to be able to contact my family as soon as possible to find out if they're okay. So yes, my priorities would most probably be the same as hers. What if the building collapsed anyway.... wouldn't you want a phone with you if by some miracle you're not crushed in the rubble...?
It does make a lot of sense. In an earthquake that strong and in a tall building, your priority first would be your means of contact. Quick thinking on that that woman during that time.
I still remember the quake in 1994 CA it was horrific I was 6yrs old
I live in Anchorage. That earthquake was no joke. I'm originally from Texas, so earthquakes are totally new to me. I'd felt little ones before...we get those atleast every 6 months or so, but that one....that scared me. Bad. I still deal with a slight PTSD...I tense up every time I feel the slightest tremble, be it a little quake or my husband or son stomping up the stairs or slamming the door...

Indians and Nepalis can never forget the April 25, 2015 earthquake. I was 9 years old when that happened and i still remember each and every scenario,even though the epicentre was in Nepal, powerful waves were felt in the Indian regions nearby too. Condolences to people who lost their loved ones in that disaster.

More like Neapalese people, India felt it too but the destruction was in Nepal. Also, Indian did blockage after couple of months of that earthquake which l will never forget too.
At 11:11 - First, Juneau is the capital of Alaska. Anchorage is the most populated city. Second, earthquakes are common in Alaska. Alaska is part of the 'Ring of Fire'. I've been through many quakes in Anchorage and even slept through a few.

We have been struck by earthquakes in Masbate, Philippines several times in the past and in February 2003. It happened again just a few days ago. Thanks God we don't have tall buildings like those in Turkeye, Japan and other seismically active places, damage can still be considered minimal. But still its effect is horrifying. It seems that recently, earthquakes are happening along the edges of subduction zones of the Pacific plates. Let us be ready and pray for our safety as well. 🙏

I don't know what to say, it must be petrifying the agony one feels to go through a natural disaster, and if you survive you will never be the same , because the scar will be with you forever, everyone stay blessed.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska and went through that 7.1 earthquake in 2018. I watched my pets act weird (well more weird than usual) right before the earthquake hit. My two cats were running around and my two dogs were huddling next to each other growling.

A friend of mine well my junior in college, was in one village near Everest, he stayed there to wait his turn to hike Everest. He married a week before and went to Everest as part of his honeymoon planned. He was there with his wife which also my junior. The earthquake buried the village, and we cannot recover him and his wife because it was too deep. We are only able to recover their passport. In the conversations we had a day before he departed for Nepal, he mentions he need help with his plan after returning from his honeymoon, and it never happen.
That's a really sad tale.
