As someone who works in advertising I can confirm that NO it is not that hard to make your own ad. This format is what we call UGC (user generated content) They are so cheap and easy to make and generally have a really good return. Scouring the internet to steal videos honestly seems harder than filming your own clips lol
The fact that she gets to know about most of these through the people who watch her videos gives me joy
Hey Hope, I think you should still report the stolen content, even if they distort your voice. The way social media platforms’ regulations evolve is when their users or content generators complain about infringement. That’s how all the policies of the various platforms come about. If enough people complain, something is done about it. Also, you should flag this to the agencies that regulate copyright infringements in the US. They then hold the platforms accountable so the latter can do a better job of stopping these kinds of accounts.
Good rule of thumb, If you see an ad, and that influencer isn't promoting it on their own page, it's a scam.
This just goes to show that even though her face might be shown in the brand's advertising, it should never be trusted unless she posts about it herself.
These companies are so creepy! But they’ve been exposed so many times, it’s easy to spot sketchy videos like these.
Quick shout out to Pursue Fitness, my hopescope shorts arrived damaged, being in Australia it wasn’t worth time/money to send them back so I emailed Pursue as an FYI just to let them know. Heard back straight and they offered to refund or send a similar product to me, no questions asked. Brilliant customer service, I can see why you did a collab.
I saw an ad for those warm fleecy leggings and was like..wait a minute, that's Hope 🤬 reported them and let them know why..absolute no go. Glad you call those scam companies out 🙏
As a librarian, I'm not surprised that some people fall for these ads thinking you are promoting them. Many people don't recognize misinformation (/blatant lies)
This subject gets under my skin so much for the influencers getting their content stolen 😡

You should get a separate card for these shady purchases* and only put on what your going to spend, invade your card info gets stolen.
This is why channels like this are great ! You help people find actual good quality active wear while exposing the shit ones haha

Hope is my favorite. I randomly saw a video of hers months ago and have been slowly watching every video she's ever posted. I like that she buys expensive things but does it in a way that doesn't make her look pretentious. She has a great personality and it makes watching her videos no matter the content fun.
