  • HI, You seem to know a lot about washing machine motors. I was wondering if I can bother you with a question. My washing machine started making a noise like something was rubbing against the motor. I opened the back and realised that there was a kind of cellophane wrap with carbon lines residue that had become torn and undone. I think it was placed on the end of the shaft. I pulled it out with a pair of tweezers. the machine works and the noise is gone, but I wonder what that was for and whether it will affect the machine. Thank you very much

I'm hooked to the grid of coarse but if it ever goes down because of a natural disaster being able to generate even a small amount of power will make life so much easier. Thanks so much for sharing ! and hit the 👍button for you.

  • The actual DC generator uses a rotor and stator connected in parallel and running without external electric sourse or that sourse is only field starting. The starting sourse can be a permanent magnets on main rotor combined with exitation coil or a smaller generator coupled with the main rotor. The other away is using a small battery or very little power from the grid. When the generator is exited at it's Max flux while rotating, it can continue produce power without any external power.

Have you heard people talk about - Diyadison Penhloe Blaster - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? • A combination of permanent magnet and field controller would convert this into a practical generator. The magnetic field controller would allow for constant voltage regulation and permanent magnets give you initial field to start.

  • Why not supply the DC Voltage field from rectified DC from the armature windings you would need a battery to supply the initial starting field voltage and a relay to cut out the battery once steady rpm is reached it would thus self supply its own field coil energy? You could probably use a car voltage regulator ( old style one ) and have the 12 volt battery permanently connected having it provide the field coil with energy, The same as used in modern car alternators. The second question is the output AC or DC?

Haven´t tried it out yet, but it should work right? Converting to a fixed magnet core is not too hard, but this would be zero hard, so I´m putting it out there :)

  • Question - this model uses a battery to excite the poles which allows the motor to be used as a generator, would I theoretically be able to wire the generator output through the 'power-in' battery like motor-power in battery-storage batteries - inverter? I know it wouldn't ever create overunity, but it could theoretically make the power-in battery last longer by trickle charging while the generator creates power to be stored in the other batteries

Step up voltage output and use potentiometer and spark gap (could include diode and capacitor if needed) to DC pulse rotor. Unless rotor already uses brush contacts (DC motor.)

  • Induced magnetism into the steel plates of a transformer core produces electricity into the windings which can be "transformed" having greater or lesser amperage and voltage. If a third conductor coil is used to pulse voltage into the core the other two coils will still be creating electricity. Take the created electricity and use it to pulse the third coil. Or use it to charge a battery. Use that battery to charge a capacitor, which is used to pulse the third coil. The coils can also be used independently apart from each other to pulse a coil or wire from separate directions at different frequencies to create alternating current from a direct current source. Which could be used to create heat and run motors and generators.

    • Electric motors produce Horsepower Generators produce electricity This was an AC motor, connecting the wires in a way, which converted it into a DC generator, not a DC motor. The 12 volt battery wasn't used to turn the motor. It was used ONLY to connect to the field circuit, creating a magnetic field , so when the shaft was turned ( by hand), it would "generate" electricity. Horsepower is not created, only electricity is. So if you mounted fan blades on the shaft, and put it outside, the wind would turn the shaft, and it would produce electricity.

  • Helo Mr Electron and thank you for your very good posts . in my experiment i use a brand new washer motor i spin rotor with a 12volt 10.000rpm motor that is using 3.6 watt ( connected on 12v 7 amp battery could be on a solar panel) to excite i use 12v 0.025 a so 0.3watt ( again could be on solar panel) . output is 15volt AC 0.45 amp so 6.85watt which is a 30 per cent generation of free energy ,however it is AC converting in DC would sink my gain same experiment on DC/DC with brushless provides about 39 watt 12 volt so i believe it is worth experimenting further . thank you again for your posts.

    • How do you keep the battery charged with this system thanks

      @bebright-tq6gx@bebright-tq6gx4 жыл бұрын
    • @@bebright-tq6gx to be honest i did not run until battery(ies) was empty ,you would have to use diodes to make sure the battery charging current goes in right direction ( these use energy). according to measurements there is a 30pc gain diodes would likely use this also leaving motors running all the time would lower performances due to heat it is very likely you would benefit of being assisted by a small solar panel ,and i did not experiment for hours just tried a quick set up ..there seems to be possibilities maybe not power generation but at least balance between out put and input . using permanent magnet generator and remaining in DC is very likely to lead to proper generation but requires more investment which i might do one day , idea behind this is be able to have electricity when weather does not allow good solar panel use

    • Use a PM alternator. No manintanence. No batteries required. Running cost is zero. Can operate as long as several decades without a problem. Batteries require replacement once in 5-6 years.

  • I think this is just amplifying the current from battery....only it can generate power if there is any battery connected to its armature..you can change this motor to alternator if some connections made internally and if you use diodes. So it will work as a an alternator but you need any prime mover to generate same...

    • That type of motor will never work as an alternator.
