LORDE - Team (Audio)

i am in paris as i release this. every street we drive down makes my eyes pop with the most incredible things carved in stone, and gilded on pillars, and wrought with metal; the heroes and heroines of this city aren't so hard to find. this song's are a little more mismatched, less classic courtesans on their pedestals, but nonetheless brilliant. this song is kinda of that world, and at the same time, very much of this one. enjoy.

  • I just noticed that this song and royals have the same message that we don't have everything in life but we are fine what we have

    • Fun fact, this song is for our military and how their families sacrifice so much for our freedom. “They won’t dance until we live city’s / you’ll never see on screen / not very pretty but we show them how to run free”. “And you know, we’re on each other’s team”. Our military and their families go through so much for us to have a chance at a better life. Don’t sell America short, we are better than socialism

  • Wait 'til you're announced We've not yet lost all our graces The hounds will stay in chains Look upon Your Greatness and she'll send the call out (Send the call out) Call all the ladies out They're in their finery A hundred jewels on throats A hundred jewels between teeth Now bring my boys in Their skin in craters like the moon The moon we love like a brother, while he glows through the room Dancin' around the lies we tell Dancin' around big eyes as well Even the comatose they don't dance and tell We live in cities you'll never see on screen Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams And you know, we're on each other's team I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air, so there So all the cups got broke shards beneath our feet but it wasn't my fault And everyone's competing for a love they won't receive 'Cause what this palace wants is release We live in cities you'll never see on screen Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams And you know, we're on each other's team I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air So there I'm kinda older than I was when I revelled without a care So there We live in cities you'll never see on screen Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams And you know, we're on each other's team We're on each other's team And you know, we're on each other's team We're on each other's team And you know, and you know, and you know

Our generation has gotten so used to just zoning out to the beats and we never actually try to understand what the lyrics are trying to say. • My thoughts on the whole Selina Gomez and Taylor Swift crap --> Lorde is better than both of them. :I Her style of song writing, expression, and mood is highly original and deserves to stay in the #1 spot right where she belongs. There honestly isn't anything you can dislike her for unless your pretty heartless like the death threats Lorde was getting on Twitter, poor Lorde. And besides, when you hear her music, you're bound to feel something, it's that kind of music that awakens something inside of, the kind that makes you feel good about yourself and make sure to live your life happy and not let the corruptive minds of others stop you whatever the costs, because if you can't be you, then what are you worth? And my god this song is amazing...

    @chocolatetoaster1407@chocolatetoaster140710 жыл бұрын
    • Of course Lorde is better. I hate Taylor's fake, pompous "better than you" attitude. She tries SO hard to be good, but she's so unattainable and so artificial. Selena is nothing special, we've seen people like her many times before. Lorde is smarter and more original than both of them and her music is a light years ahead of them both.

      @jayjay1184@jayjay118410 жыл бұрын
    • ***** When I said this message, I should have pointed out that I am honestly a fan of Taylor Swift, as for Selina Gomez though, not so much. I have a platinum version cd of Taylor Swift and got a Taylor Swift poster as a gift. But telling you this, I'm not being bias, it's just that Taylor was using the same formula for quite some time, but now she slowly changing. And on the other hand Selina Gomez I find..I don't know, I don't have much of an opinion towards her except that her new song "Come and Get it" I find a little repetitive, with an overuse of filler words, and it doesn't have much of a gripping intro either. (Eh-Boo-Eh, Ah-Bella-Ya) (Eh-Bee-Eh-Boo-Eh, Ah-Bella-Ya) (Eh, Eh, Eh, Eh) When you're ready come and get it Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na When you're ready come and get it Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na When you're ready-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh When you're ready-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh-Eh When you're ready come and get it Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na I did not add anything extra to that, those are indeed the real lyrics to "Come and Get it" from the beginning. I'm not saying she's a bad artist, I'm just saying that "Come and Get it" doesn't show her true capability such as her song "Who Says". I've also watched videos of interviews with Lorde, and also videos about what she said about "TS" and "SG's song", how some of them are saying that since she's new to the industry that she shouldn't be commenting the "queen bees of music". She shouldn't let that stop her, you see people all the time on the internet having there comments without hesitation. Also I should point the fact the I played Mario Party 7 today for four hours while listening to Lorde on loop the whole time, and am still not bored of music. That my fellow humans is the result of the creation of original music that spiritually captures the audience with such a beautiful voice that won't ever get old. Xiexie! -Piece! :)

    • Yoshiro Tundrayas TS and SG head up the Tween Scene. whoever is referring to swift and gomez as "queen bees of music" have clearly never heard of beyonce knowles, gaga, mariah carey lol these are the current queens, swift & gomez do not, and will never, hold a candle to them ladies. . in terms of artistic vision and creative development, lorde is light years ahead of swift and gomez who spend most of their time admiring their own reflections and whingeing about not finding their prince charming

  • Wait 'til you're announced We've not yet lost all our graces The hounds will stay in chains Look upon Your Greatness and she'll send the call out (Send the call out) [15x] Call all the ladies out They're in their finery A hundred jewels on throats A hundred jewels between teeth Now bring my boys in Their skin in craters like the moon The moon we love like a brother, while he glows through the room Dancin' around the lies we tell Dancin' around big eyes as well Even the comatose they don't dance and tell We live in cities you'll never see on screen Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams And you know, we're on each other's team I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air, so there So all the cups got broke shards beneath our feet but it wasn't my fault And everyone's competing for a love they won't receive 'Cause what this palace wants is release We live in cities you'll never see on screen Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams And you know, we're on each other's team I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air So there I'm kinda older than I was when I revelled without a care So there We live in cities you'll never see on screen Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams And you know, we're on each other's team We're on each other's team And you know, we're on each other's team We're on each other's team And you know, and you know, and you know
