Thx for the video. You are making me buy this one. But I have heard bad things about the software. Do I need to have the software opened so the rgb and button settings can work or I don't need it to be opened? If I need it, can the software be minimized or in an opened window?

Nice work!, how can I find the sleep mode settings? I mean, when you don't use the mouse, how long it takes to turn off to save battery? I can't find it. Thx a lot
sorry my friend, I did not see this comment till now, youtube has a horrible notification system, I have to hunt for comments I have not replied to and with almost 400 videos, it gets very difficult. So the mouse goes to sleep within 70 seconds. Right now there is no way to change this but i have put in a recommendation and they are taking this into consideration, plus they are working on updating a few things on the version coming out soon, so stay tuned. Do i have to minimize the software for it to work? Because every time i close the software down it goes back to the normal lights/buttons. Btw i use the hyperx pulsefire core mouse
if you close the software, it will not work, you have to minimize it. I don't like that too much, I like to keep my taskbar free, notification area too, but I get it needs to be there. For some reason this will not go to the notification area though sadly.
Can you edit the delay in the recorded macro and make it run continously while we pressed the key?
sorry for my reply being so late, youtubes notification system is horrible, I reply to hundreds of comments a day, and when youtube doesn't notify me, which is very often, I have to manually look through all my almost 400 videos to find missing comments. so yes, you can add delay times to you Macros. To do this, go to the button section, find your macro and click to edit it. Next to each button it presses you will notice a number, so for example I have a macro that just hits the number 3 but if I want a delay between the presses, the number next to the 3, I would just edit. It may say 327, that's milliseconds, to extend that, for example I would type in 4000, so now it pauses 4000 milliseconds before it goes to the next keyboard strike.

Great video! Let's suppose I want to save one profile in the mouse's onboard memory. I can use the software, save it and then I don't need the software anymore? After applied this settings to the mouse, can I change computer and this settings remains? If I apply one profile to the mouse, I can forget about the software and let it closed as long as I want? you have 1 profile you can save, so yes.

@@arthurgarcia9438 you should be good, sadly, I had to put that mouse away, it was a GREAT mouse, but I am using other mice now, always reviewing something different.
@@ThisBytesForYou Oh, no problem. My main question was about set the profile and don't be necessary to use the software anymore. As per you said, I'm able to do that, correct? I don't know why, but I read some comments saying it was necessary the software to stay ALWAYS open. Was there any confusion about it? BTW, great channel!
i dont see any option like "opacity or color" in my app. did they remove these features with the new updates off the app. or am i missing someting?
try installing the software through the microsoft store, make sure you uninstalling it first from your pc, then while you are installing and first using the mouse, make sure to connect the cable to the computer to the mouse which should sync up the mouse, settings and update the firmware on the mouse as well.
I need to help.. i have pulsefire surge and i know that you can't close the app for your own presets to work, but even if i minimalized it, how can iswitch between presets? because if i switch it on mouse, it goes back to totally different lights..
Uninstall and reinstall it from the Microsoft store, it should work with the middle button

The app for the hyper X mouse is really laggy for me recently and it makes my side buttons to not work at least the first one.

@@hokagejavi2460 A laptop is a PC, so yeah. Connecting it to your PS4 will work, but you will be using the preset DPi settings in the mouse, since you cannot install the software on the PS4.

@@nightwatch333 try uninstalling the software, then go to the Microsoft store (I hate it) and look for nGeniuty" and download it from there, many manufacturers are moving their drivers there. I know why.... but I hate why. Let me know if that helps. Also, first after you install the drivers, connect the mouse with the cable first, let it sync up with the software, it may need to update again, then afterwards it will work like mine did wirelessly.

I want the pulse effect on my pulsefire surge but it doesn't show any of the colors I set, and when u messed with it you acted like it was doing something but I saw no change what so ever, it stayed the exact same and didnt even change from cycle. When I saw the old version of ngenuity it showed my exact mouse doing the wave effect but mine wont, it's only supposed to light up a little like a trail of color instead of lighting up the whole thing. How do I do it??????
I think in the video for you it was called pulse but for me its wave I'm so damn confused wtf
uninstall the version of NGENUITY you have now, and make sure you dont have any other mouse software installed, if it asks you to reboot, make sure you reboot. Afterwards, download the latest version of the NGENUITY software and give it another try.

no lift off distance, or sensor adjustment for the surface I would be using? interesting...
actually interesting point, though I am not done reviewing it but I have tried it on 2 different desks and 2 different mouse pads, no chance in lift off distance needed, honestly I have never needed to change it, though I have tried and it got me into trouble haha. Could I ask, when have you needed it?
ThisBytesForYou I always turn it down to 1. There’s also no scroll tilt on this mouse. For a $100 mouse not having surface calibration, lift off distance, or scroll tilt is kind of lame - and yes I do use scroll tilt.
@@garretts431 nothing wrong with scroll tilt, if its there i use it too, it's kind of handy, and surface calibration can be as well. The $100 for the mouse surely is more because what it offers. Not only is it USB C (most come with batteries that you have to replace, which I hate so much) but it has a great DPI range for a wireless mouse, is very comfortable is is chargeable through Qi, which is AWESOMe. Also, it comes with an extension cable so that if maybe your PC is a little further away, or maybe you have other bluetooth devices in the way, this can get closer to your mouse, out of the bluetooth clutter you may have. I think its pretty good. I do apologize for not getting back to you soon, youtubes notification system is horrible, many times I have to go through almost 400 videos manually to find a comment I have not replied too.
Hi, I'm a bit desesperate... I have an pulsefire surge but when i download the software ngenuity my mouse has no movemente anymore... the only things still working are the buttons but the mouse totally stop. Any advices or solution?
try doing the same on another machine, it should take care of it, but make sure to get the software from the windows store.

I have this mouse and is great, the software is crap though. They remove the option: "selection" and I cannot set different colors, for example white light for the wheel and red for the logo. I have no idea why they did that.
with the cable attached, click on the mouse on the left hand side, click lights, then click "Solid", "Cycle" or "Breathing" effect, then click "Choose" then you select your colors. You cannot select colors on "cycle", I hope this helps. Also, yes, I love this mouse, still using it today.

Do you have another PC you can plug that mouse into and download ngenuitity again, but this time from the windows app store and make sure the mouse is connected when you flash it.

I have the pulsefire fps mouse and as soon as I downloaded the software it stopped working, and the lights turned off. It isn't recognized by my computer anymore
oh wow, that is horrible to hear. Since I made this video, HyperX has moved the software to the windows store, though I think they still keep it on the site. Have you tried restarting your computer, to see if you regain mouse control?
@@ThisBytesForYou yea I did a huge restart on my pc and plugged in the mouse even deleted the software but it won't turn on anymore. I plugged it into another computer to see if the problem was in the mouse or computer but turns out it's a problem with the mouse bc it didn't work on the other computer either. It was totally fine until I decided to download that stupid software. Now I can't use the mouse
@@ThisBytesForYou do you know if I can reset the mouse? Also the hyperx software app required a firm update and when I clicked it it crashed and that's when the mouse stopped working.
Ahhh, so it seems the software crashed when you were doing the firmware update. Since you do have the other computer, try downloading and installing the software through the microsoft store, let the update occur, then bring it back over to your computer to see if that would work for you.
Let me know if that helped any, but actually another person just commented that they had the same issue, so I am going to try it on another machine tonight and get back to you asap. If you could please, reply to this comment so that when I get home, I can remember to test it.

@@lecobain88 it has enough memory for up to 1 profile onboard, so after you program that profile, you can close it but I have not had any issues with the software and it does not take up a lot of resources.
It keeps telling me I need to update my mouse but I don't know how to update, it gives me no info.
Check on the Microsoft store, download NGENIUTY from there, you have to have your mouse connected through a usb cable at first, then when it asks you to update, you will need to unplug it.

you might need to contact HyperX, I know they have had a few issues ltely.
you forgot to mention that whenever you close the app every setting IS DAMN GONE! sad to see one of the greatest hardware ruined by the crappiest software
for me when I closed it, it didn't close it went to the system tray. Why don't you try this newer one, you might have an older version: give this a try, let me know if it helps www.hyperxgaming.com/us/ngenuity but first make sure you uninstall the software first, reboot then install this newer one, just to make sure the uninstall goes well.

normally I would say you probably did something wrong, since you saw it work here, but you are now the 3rd in a week that has had issues, I am still currently using this mouse, but I will move it over to another PC and do a fresh install and test it. HyperX has been doing some updates to their software, and I am assuming this is the issue. This video is a year old and if you go down the comment's, I have helped people to get it work but you and another today have mentioned that it stopped working, but if you take it to another computer, it will work. Let me figure this out today and get back to you. Please do me a favor, comment on this again, so I can get a notification so that i can remember where this comment was, youtubes notification system is not the best.
@@ThisBytesForYou yeah, hyperx has gotten my email i hope they are gonna fix my mouse or something i really hope this fix it because all i have is a cheap 10$ mouse right now.
@@G89_No_Limits Ok, so what I did on the other PC was I plugged in the USB Bluetooth adapter, it picked up immediately and installed some drivers. Then I went to the microsoft store, downloaded the NGENUITY Beta software, installed it, then it asked me to update the firmware "because our engineers said it would work better", so I plugged it in, it did its update, then it asked me to unplug the adpater to complete the update, I disconnected both, it finished and I plugged them back in and they worked perfectly. Let me know if this helps. I hope you have another PC you can try this on. Not sure why it failed but I hope this helps.
@@ThisBytesForYou i do have another pc i tried it on that (it has the same internals as my laptop but the desktop versions of them) the rgb on my mouse didn't even turn on, it didnt show up on the ngunity software when i got the the software using using my other mouse, it just didn't show any signs of life, I am gonna replace my hyperX mouse with a razer mouse, same with my keyboard.
@@G89_No_Limits sorry my friend, not sure what to tell you, it worked for me, and I am having the other person try it as well, you and her almost at the same time commented on this, just waiting to hear back from her. the only thing I can think of, is the firmware that came on the mouse, didn't like the newer version, mine was maybe 1 or 2 updates older, I guess I got lucky, but it really is a great mouse, i wish you could have used it. Contact HyperX and see if you can get it RMA'ed.
i can't move my mouse only the buttons work

OK, just wanted to make sure your mouse used it, so if you downloaded it from a website, uninstall it, make sure you download it from the Microsoft store, and let me know if that works for you.

The hyperX NGENUITY broke my mouse ;(((
You are the 4th person today, something is seriously wrong with it, it looks like they just put out an update. The mouse still works, but you need to uninstall the software. Take the mouse to another PC, so what I did on the other PC was I plugged in the USB Bluetooth adapter, it picked up immediately and installed some drivers. Then I went to the microsoft store, downloaded the NGENUITY Beta software, installed it, then it asked me to update the firmware "because our engineers said it would work better", so I plugged it in, it did its update, then it asked me to unplug the adpater to complete the update, I disconnected both, it finished and I plugged them back in and they worked perfectly. Let me know if this helps.

@@chriscro4615 ok, I was not sure if you were talking about color/light cycling or mouse movement. The Pixart 3389 Sensor will only let you go so low, usually no issues with that. May I ask what do you need the lower speed for, I may be able to get some info from HyperX on that.

This is an old video, HyperX moved their drivers off to the Windows Store, and that is where you should download them from, its not only a pain in the butt because no one wants to use the Windows store, I get it, but sadly I can't edit a video on youtube. I will try to make another.
@@ThisBytesForYou Do you know what happened in the software and find the bugging and why it did that.Some other people got it stuck with their keyboard.Mine when i downloaded the software,I tried it my hyper x mouse turned off.I tried everything.I restarted it got my back up mouse.But nothing booted up my mouse .It stopped lighting up and i even tried removing the device for bluetooth and making it a device for bluetooth
I dont sadly, you could give HyperX a call or email their support team, but the only way to fix it, if bricked on one machine is to take it over to another machine, install the correct software, which overwrites the firmware on the device, then bring it back to the original computer.
